O'Driscolls pass to himself was forward. Check the line marking on the ground.
There's no such thing as a forward pass if it you're the next person that touches it (although I do think that it was obstruction with the player in front)

Not a forward pass but used the other player as an obstruction
It is obstruction - further when players do this they can be legally tackled ‘without the ball’ as in both cases - they are deemed to be in continuous possession.

@@Tom-vu1wr the best try I have seen is the one (I think) between Highlanders and Chiefs in Dunedin. It was a try that went end to end to end to end, non-stop sequence that finally ended in a try to the Chiefs.

i enjoy watching video so much but most of it was not iq play at all they were pure skill at athleticism
Self forward pass by O'Driscoll should not be here. Just look at the line when he passes and catches the ball. clearly forward
Can't tell if you're joking, but for anyone who doesn't know- you're allowed to pass the ball forward to yourself so long as it doesn't touch anyone else or the ground. Same premise of you were to fumble a catch, but regather before dropping it

@@delakey2925 Well the player is allowed to keep his line, so if he's running in one direction he doesn't have to move off that direction to allow someone through- he just can't move off his line to block someone. Not that he was running much of a line here, but still, that's the argument. I'm sure he had no idea what BOD was up to either!
