Turning all that giant tempo in useless 3/3s is a sure way to lose the game, so pineclone from cucumber is one of the worst legendaries you can get.

One good thing split banana has is that it’s a super easy to craft 1 cost 2/2, it’s also not hard to get from packs anyway, most of the time if you use it you don’t care about the ability and just for it’s spark cost and base stats

During the stream, chat was going crazy over Captain Cucumber's placement. Some people think it's very bad and say how can it be in S tier whilst it dies to rolling stone, flick etc. Also cards like nibble and total eclipse, make cucumber useless. I play smash sports as a gold/diamond league player, sports is a tempo deck, when facing against most mega grow heroes, they play Captain Cucumber. That card ruins tempo for zombies as you have to remove it and it is normally played in front of your team mascot which won't kill it until turn 5. Also sports decks can go to turn 7/8 and your opponent gets the opportunity to use all the legendaries. And don't forget I run total elicspe and rolling stone but they don't really help as the cucumber gets played on heights and I either don't have rolling stone or I use it on turn 2. I think what makes it overpowered is that it conjure you legendaries, which most are top tier, and not only that but it conjures it whenever it does damage and then it makes it cost 1 less. Doctor Spacetime has to hit the hero and it's a zombie card which can be countered by just playing a minion in front of it. But Cucumber you have to play a protected card or some armoured card which aren't really good cards and some are too late for cucumber. Also the card can go out of control like starch lord, especially for tempo players that commit their brains. However Captain Cucumber can be countered by control decks. All classes apart from Brainy can counter it efficiently. They can also remove the legendaries easily. Aggro decks will kill the opponent before they can even play the legendaries. So Captain Cucumber is too slow against aggro decks. Edit: Another problem with Captain Cucumber is that the legendaries are random, imagine Pineclone in a Grass Knuckles tempo deck, the legendaries may not have synergy with the deck. So now I think Captain Cucumber should be B tier, not A.
yes, sometimes is anoying to face grass knuckles that play Black eye pea or tricarottops on 2 then captain cucumber on 3... so much pressure to build tempo... and this card even if u use exploding fruitcake, that fruit still will cost 1 cost left...
captain cuc is the definition of tempo loss. a 1/4 in turn 3 is horrible and you are better off building your board than worrying about an almost nonexistant chance of them highrolling
Idk if Fry will read this, but if your play Starfruit with Planet of the Grapes, you get to draw as many card as the starfruit hit the zombie hero. You might already know this though, but it be pretty cool if you tried it. :3
New Podfather stats: When played all Peas in play (and maybe in your hand) get +1/+1. When you play another Pea it gets +1/+1. Now you get rewarded for keeping an early field with Clique Peas and Black Eyed Peas and can boost other cheap Peas on turn 4.

I don’t know if this would be too broken/underpowered, but if savage spinach was able to do any plant evolution, but it only boosted all plants in hand and on the field by 1, I think it would be pretty balanced
My opinion, I think banana peel is a great card, it synergies greatly with repeat moss to finish off the hero when you have limited tricks, it can move zombies away to your favour and it can activate Dino roars on your side

I also think Gatling is such an underrated card, but one thing that I never understood that I do a lot, is that if you have a single podfather already on the field, and you place the Gatling pea on top of it, the podfather will still somehow buff the Gatling, and then do a 7 damage bonus attack. Idk how that works but it’s definitely good, except the whole thing with podfather being a bad card.
Cabbage Pult actually does have a use, and quite a good one too: Savage Spinach Fodder. As of about 2 weeks ago Reddit (yes, leave your hate below for us being wrong) found that nobody fronts Cabbage Pult, it’s not a threat by itself. However, because of this Spinach can benefit from it since well it’s a free evolution. So fry, I suggest you make a Savage Cabbage deck of some sort and try it for yourself, you’ll be surprised how much people don’t care about cabbage Pult.
Potted Powerhouse doesn't seem too bad, there are a lot of really good cards just in Mega-Grow that it synergizes with. Bananasaurus, Clique Peas, Black Eyed Peas, Bonk Choy and even Grow Shroom isn't too bad. If you really wanted to play a peas deck, anything you put behind the fire stump, peapod and pod father also grow it. I don't actually play it because I prefer repeat moss combo, but it could be okay.
Fry please do the hearty class next as a tier list. I also, have a creative tier list idea, being a set tier list. I'm not saying tier every card in a certain set, but tier how the set affected the meta, value out of cards of the set, how many cards are their of that set and is it worth to buy/ crafted cards of that set.

2022 re-tier: in all seriousness I think potted powerhouse can be argued D tier, maybe C for fun value. It’s not the worst strat in the world. Party Thyme - you’d be surprised how it can be useful, plus it’s a huge magnet for zombies removal which can be useful, so I would say C. Podfather has an argument for C as well, given how well ramp works for chompzilla and onion rings with peas. Maybe Lilly C. Typical bean down to D. Leafy just sucks and even in leafy decks it’s often not worth. I think all B tier and above are still fairly assessed.

Ngl, party tyme would be perfectly viable if its ability was reversed: when you draw a card this does a bonus attack. It has 2 attack sure, but this is still the mega grow class, so stat boosting isn't a problem.
I was thinking about what fry said about chef zombie and the 2 cost dancing one. Mainly how it basicly forces plants to remove it so they are basicly better as control cards and I wonder can double mint be use in that way? Think about it, the zombies have to remove double mint, meaning they have to expend brains into it, so wouldn't double mint work as a control card better than a tempo one?

Strategy decks are not good. Also, impfinity pirates can work amazingly without any tricks.

Ngl, party tyme would be perfectly viable if its ability was reversed: when you draw a card this does a bonus attack. It has 2 attack sure, but this is still the mega grow class, so stat boosting isn't a problem.
I was thinking about what fry said about chef zombie and the 2 cost dancing one.
Mainly how it basicly forces plants to remove it so they are basicly better as control cards and I wonder can double mint be use in that way? Think about it, the zombies have to remove double mint, meaning they have to expend brains into it, so wouldn't double mint work as a control card better than a tempo one?

banana peel + repeat moss actually OP, because you would have already buffed the repeat moss, and you can move the zombie away so the repeat moss can hit face, not to mention the cheap sun usage of banana peel

Tbh double mint + the grape super rare is op and yes it might be removed easily but with umbrella leaf + the plant-it is op
