It is a relief to find a travel journalist, these days anyhow, with an intellectual sensitivity for the project he is embarked upon. Charming vignette.
It is clear that attaché is transforming from a general travel guide to a much more resolute inspirational side of cultural exploration. And I am happy for it.
The narrative, the edits, the Japanese interludes, historical perspective combined with fluidic story weave, probably makes its one of my all time favourite attache episode ! You guys are constantly raising the bar and thinking outside the box, kudos to Alex & the entire team.
It's always makes me so happy seeing Alex smile eating great food and this episode is awesome. Thank you for spoiling us with these awesome travel films Alex and MR. Editor, waiting for the next one....
To think that high quality productions such as this, sit alongside memes and cat videos on this platform, is surely an indicator of where our society has gone so so wrong.
Your videos have such an other worldly quality. Doing one thing well is hard enough and your videos double as travel videos and beautiful documentaries, written oh-so well. Lots of love!
@@attachetravel This was a very special presentation. Rural Japan is a topic that I havent seen too many programmes about. That seashell she sold was one piece of work.
Beautiful video. Never really got to explore the villages around Fuji when I was there back in 2004. I was 26 I think when I first climbed it. I was exhausted. And this is just me starting at that 5th Stage point. Then I met this Japanese man in his 50s who said he climbed in more then 30 times. Respect!
New subscriber here, and I'm astounded. Why haven't I found your channel sooner? The quality and presentation of this video is jaw-dropping. The editing. The camerawork. The composition. It looks truly professional. So far above and beyond the usual TH-cam videos of this genre that it is simply no comparison. You have real talent man. Well done.
You guys have become master travel storytellers. Thank you for another magnificent video. In less than two weeks, I'm visiting Japan again. It's gonna be my 6th time. You really nailed all the reasons why I love this great country. There's so much to experience in every corner...
@Peachgirl91 Yep! Try to go off the beaten path. Do not spend too much time in Tokyo (even though it's amazing). Visit places like Kanazawa, Matsumoto or even little gems like Gujo Hachiman. Go to Kyushu or Shikoku. People over there don't speak English that much, but are really kind.
Peachgirl91 It can be done on a budget. If you stay in a hostel or capsule hotel you could save a lot on accomodation. Transportation is a big factor in Tokyo’s massive urban sprawl and it’s quite pricey. While food doesn’t always have to be. I’d say this: prepare roughly 1000 USD (not including the flight) and you should have plenty
These new Attaché videos are more . . . cinematic? Which is actually pretty nice since they kinda look like Bourdain's Parts Unknown. Amazing and inspiring video!
My first thought was he will climb Mt. Fuji. But unexpectedly he showed a much deeper appreciation of Fuji san’s eternal influence on the Japanese rural side.
I literally was about to write the same thing about the Big Mac. Really great video and I loved it. A little change every now and then is a GREAT THING!
BIG MAC? how about that short bullet train trip it's not cheap. Fuji is an experience. this paints a picture of the adventure of getting to Fuji and what is around it. The trip up the Mt To the 8th & 9th station and the trip down is another story. There is no real trail, it is a path of switch back and steps that are different sizes; some 12 inches high other 18 inches or 24 inches, one thing you can count on for sure is that they are going to a different space and hight for the 5 to 6 hours. After Station 7 it becomes lava rock and more uneven steps. If you are a true adventurist this Mountain should be on your bucket list( we did it twice in one week both times it was amazing). PLEASE DONT FORGET THAT TOKOYO IS THE MOST VISITED CITY IN JAPAN. FOR GO THIS CRAZY AND VISIT YOKOHAMA AND KAMAKURA.
Great video.. but I was expecting more info about the mountain itself. Like climbing seasons, height, dangers, the sunrise, and sleeping on the mountain

Unexpected. But definitely not unwanted.
This is truly a brilliant video
Thanks so much Noah!
I swear you're production value increases each episode. Truly inspiring.
The narrative, the edits, the Japanese interludes, historical perspective combined with fluidic story weave, probably makes its one of my all time favourite attache episode ! You guys are constantly raising the bar and thinking outside the box, kudos to Alex & the entire team.
You guys took it to a whole new level with this video. The haiku, the transitions, the b-roll of those statues, the slow-mo... all SUPERB!
It's always makes me so happy seeing Alex smile eating great food and this episode is awesome. Thank you for spoiling us with these awesome travel films Alex and MR. Editor, waiting for the next one....
Discovered this channel from Mexico City's video and this is also pure gold. Amazing quality.
Always hype when you release a video about Japan. It is done well and keeps you glued to the tube.
To think that high quality productions such as this, sit alongside memes and cat videos on this platform, is surely an indicator of where our society has gone so so wrong.
So sad to hear that you guys are considering quitting, your videos are a class above everyone elses.
Your videos have such an other worldly quality. Doing one thing well is hard enough and your videos double as travel videos and beautiful documentaries, written oh-so well. Lots of love!
Thanks so much, Shahan!
Absolutely beautiful. Nice to see a break from the usual format. A very poetic love letter to rural Japan, or a small part of it anyway.
Thanks Ben! These episodes are a lot more work to make but I think the end result is worth it.

The mix of the footage, music and voice over is so great, I could have watched it for an hour longer. Great work!
honestly i think this is one of my favorite pieces of cinematography ever...visually speaking this video is stunning
and i love the content as well

This video is unlike any of Attache previous videos. It's a love letter to Fujisan.
Khris here!! Totally surreal...feels like another world. Attaché!! You’ve done it again. Splendid as ever.
This is perfect! Headed to Mt. Fuji in two months.
Great timing!
Hiking season is from July to September tho. keep that in mind, the transport, accommodation and little stores on the way might not work.
Videos like this have wrapped Attache in, out and around my heart.
This is absolutely amazing. An excellent travel guide!
Fantastic piece man... Hopefully some more Japan videos coming our way!
Watching your videos has become my regular monthly event! So inspiring!

You came back to visit again you must have love for Japan. I love it too..🥰And your vlogs I love it too👍💕
This was already mesmerizingly beautiful to look at, but the use of Yasuaki Shimizu really caught my attention. Nice music selection!
You guys inspired me to travel to so many amazing places. I can't thank you enough!!
This video looks so cinematic! Wow! Like a short documentary. Beautifully shot, beautifully narrated!!
I travelled to Japan in January and had an amazing time. We stayed near Mt. Fuji for one night and rented a car. Can't wait to return!
Brilliant video! We were in Mount Fuji for cherry blossom and it is unbelievable! 🌸
The decadent use of Shimizu in this video is glorious.
effing breathtaking. round of applause here. well done Attaché
Loving the new format and the sound quality is amazing.

I have to say, this was beautifully done. Thank you!

Truly spectacular video. The cinematography is second to none - keep up the amazing work Attache :)
Perfectly timed video as I will be going to Japan for the first time next month!
Your storytelling is fantastic! It was a bit different from your normal country vids, but I like the way you shot this vid.
Your travel videos are the best, during my childhood i use to enjoy watching Globe Trekker (Host Ian Wright) and now this. Brilliant Alex!!
These new Attaché videos are more . . . cinematic? Which is actually pretty nice since they kinda look like Bourdain's Parts Unknown.
Amazing and inspiring video!

Seriously, though, what an amazing and truly thoughtful video.

Really, really well done. Thank you.
awesome footage and information
Great looking video. The title is a bit misleading though, it should really be the "Shuzenji Travel Guide" as thats the only area you talk about.
Wow!sugoi! Εξαιρετικό βίντεο.
