    Thanks so much for this extended, comprehensive vlog on ikspiari. I’ve never seen another vlog like this. Before viewing this vlog I imagined it as being a totally enclosed center.
    So glad it is not that way. Thanks again.

    Thanks Cory. This mall is reminiscent of the glorious 1980’s, which in my opinion was so good. Take care.

      Oh yeah? That's cool! I can kinda see the 80's mall vibes now that you mention it. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the tour, I've been visiting TDR for roughly 15 years till 2019. Sadly I haven't been back since the world shut down.
    I love going around Ikspiari and realized just how much has changed since my last visit. I used to always pick up my TDL and TDR tickets at the ticket center which is now McDonald's.
    This video brought back so many memories, thank you so much.

    • @CoryMay81
      @CoryMay81  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh... it used to be on the 1st floor where the McDonald's is now? Wow, I didn't know that! That's very cool you have a long history with TDR.
      I went to Tokyo Disneyland 7 times when growing up in the 80s and 90s. The first time we went was in 1986, three years after it opened. Back then, last time I had been there was in 1995 when I was in 8th grade. It was obviously very different back then with no Disney Sea and none of those TDR hotels.
      I came back to Japan in April 2019 and have been to Disneyland and Disney Sea two times each. I'm so happy they still have my favorite rides: Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, although now the PotC ride is updated to include Jack Sparrow. I also saw Haunted Mansion last year in October and could catch the Nightmare Before Christmas theme and it was sooooo cool! I loved it so much I rode it 3 times.
      A dream of mine is to be able to afford to stay in the main Disney Resort Hotel there as well as the hotel inside Disney Sea, the one that's part of the Mediterranean Harbor.
      Thanks for watching and commenting!!! See ya in the next video.

    The mall is a part of Tokyo Disney Resort. Almost every Disney resort has this type of area between the parks.

    • @CoryMay81
      @CoryMay81  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      That's nice to know. The video title, thumbnail, description box, and my intro mention that it is a part of Tokyo Disney Resort. I didn't know there were areas like this at other parks, though. I've never been to any other Disney Resorts in the world.

      Hey Raena! Hope you've been doing well. Yeah, it's a cool mall to check out, especially if you're already going to be visiting Disneyland and Disney Sea. But... I wouldn't really go out of my way to check it out since there's other places to see in Tokyo, especially if you're limited on time. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    21:09 That’s Nile the Crocodile, not an alligator. Just like the Jungle Cruise, Rainforest Café isn’t exactly sure if they’re in the South American rainforest or African.

      @@CoryMay81I was a “pathfinder” at the Dallas location, in the exact same mall one of those Daiso locations opened up in. It was back in 99-00, and I was 17 at the time. We had to be well versed in all the lingo. Pathfinders were retail, Safari guides were the wait staff I think, trailblazers the cooks, and such. All the animal animatronics had names and personalities, so we had to know them all in case anyone ever asked. Especially since they started making cartoon versions to sell more merch to kids, which was about that same time I started working there. There was one animatronic that was a snake. He was the only one anyone ever asked me about. A kid wanted to know his name. He was never assigned one, so I named him Steve. To this day, I will occasionally say hello to Steve, and my family will as well.
      They kept Maya in the back. I always looked up to her (literally since she was mounted towards the ceiling) being a minor with no breaks and late hours, that jaguar always sat up high giving me some kind of hope, even though she too was stuck there with no breaks. …in between Tracy Tree spouting random rainforest facts and the half hour rain storms. …that’s what you’re smelling BTW, the rainstorms.
      The 90s and even early 2000s, they even had live birds at the locations. They had an officially trained bird person that I once had to give a break to. (Lunch break I’m assuming, because we got those, just not 15 minute ones). So I stood there with the birds answering questions with totally made up answers because I literally had no clue what I was doing.

    Hii I just came across your videos and appreciate you showing us places. As a vegetarian it’s hard to go to different places and not know what your picking up. I’m just wondering if you plan to do a 7/11 tour or any other places people visiting may go. I’m curious to see what vegetarian stuff there is. :)

    • @CoryMay81
      @CoryMay81  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Welcome and howdy! Yeah, it can be tough to find vegetarian-friendly places. While my videos don't specifically focus on vegan or vegetarian foods at all, I sometimes try to point out those things if I see them. I do plan on making some tour videos of convenience stores. I have several supermarket tour videos on my channel if you haven't seen them yet. Might give you a good sense of the options in an every day supermarket. Thanks for watching and commenting!

      I want to film a video tour in the LOFT flagship store in Shibuya, but it's tough getting out there. It's far from my house. But I'll do it one day! For a preview of a different LOFT, check out this video: th-cam.com/video/vPsyvpXF8BI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CbojAF9roJSM1uGg&t=3751 I included the time stamp so the video link should take you directly to the LOFT part of that mall tour. Enjoy!

    29:34 They have Daiso locations in the US. I have been to two locations in Dallas, and they both have bare concrete floors and exposed ceilings. I assume that any investment in store appearance would result in them having to raise prices.

    • @CoryMay81
      @CoryMay81  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's very interesting to hear! Every Daiso I've ever been to here has drop ceiling panels and finished floors, so I was shocked to see one without them. Thanks for sharing that info! And thanks for watching~

    How long do the stores remain open? I’m considering going after a day at the park

    • @CoryMay81
      @CoryMay81  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most stores will close around 10pm, and the whole mall closes at 10:30pm.
      I spent a full day at Disneyland and then went to eat at TGIFriday's a few years ago. There was plenty of time to order and eat at that time... around 9pm or something.

      I'm an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. I didn't know a thumbnail could come off like that, not that's it a problem or anything. LOL You're safe here in my community for sure and no worries about being off. Thanks for watching and commenting!
