I worked with 3 of those guys, many years ago, before I started working entirely out of town. The joys of watching local ish youtube, you get to recognize random faces!
I worked out of coal harbour for a bit and recognized the air museum building in the intro. Super cool ride. Stay safe, have fun, ride hard, in that order!
Hey Guys. I heard Steph say " Can you imagine how old this hanger is?" Yes I can! My great uncle Red was stationed there during the second world war. He worked in those hangers doing maintenance on the surveillance planes.
This past summer I rode a similar route around the North Island with a buddy. We enjoyed Side Bay and the little museum at Cole harbour as well. I Love your drone shots and the bears.
Awesome video! Love it! I'm planning a trip up to Side Bay this long weekend, just wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing tracks for this part of the journey? Thanks!
We are not home in time to pull them from our Garmin. The videos have maps and road designations that would make it easy to follow. Or maybe Simon is game to share.
Hi Guys. Love the videos. I'm thinking of doing the North Island with a buddy in late June. Any parts you'd leave out if you did it again? Any side trips you would definitely do again? I'd say we are higher intermediate riders on an AT and a T7 so wondering if you know of any "spicy" bits to break up the gravel-travel parts. Thank you.
Wow. that ride looks soooooooooo awesome. you guy definitely live in some beautiful country. I hope to ride it some day. Only question is did you have to worry about bears. I see you saw some on the beach but did they ever come close to your camps
Scott really enjoyed the little bike off pavement. Its was easy to use and never a hand full. Surprisingly comfortable. He did miss his bike mostly on the slab up to Cambell River.
LOL, Mladen bike napping. Did that on the Lillooet trip... running practice loops or something while the lead group is waiting. One bike buggers off up the interesting spur... f*ck that, and chase it... Oh Shit, CAUTION! I'm chasing Mladen. I did get to watch him dance, (didn't have it on film though). (And yes, only he would be pivot turning a 790 or 800 GSA.)
He has all of our respect , He is kind patient , very talented rider. That we are lucky to share trails with. Yes it is funny when our best make little mistakes.
I think I’ve said this in every episode: I NEED to get up island! This was awesome 👍🏻
Thanks, wait till you see our mainland trip.
@@theadventurecooperative ooooo! Can’t wait!!

More cool riding to come.
Cute goats!!! Quite enjoying this series. The Port Alice road is definitely overlooked and definitely worth the trip down.
Thanks for coming along. We hope you caught the bear petting.

We learned a lot about the history of the place.

When the mill site is cleaned up that road will be ok again!
I would think so.

Side bay and the surrounding area is a must do. Next time we will see more of cape Scott as well. Have fun explore as much as you can.

None visited us at camp.
How did you like the smaller bike for this? Were you missing your twin?

Well better than average.
