No excuses for the favorites Secret Gesture, Moth, & Liber Nauticus in this race. They all 3 got a fair enough trip and had every chance to win the Oaks if good enough. Talent was just much the best on the day, period.
:) She has talent indeed. She seemed ranked in a couple of places, if not more, with traffic around her but didn't give up and perservered on until space opened up for her. Very nice performance.
With her white blaze and long white sock behind she does look a lot like Dawn Approach. If the Derby were to be run at this pace DA would produce something similar.

Poor Oaks. But Hughsie got one hell of a tune out of Talent.. she rattled home! Just like Qualify this year..
so did talent get stuck behind horses , Moth got 1st run on talent aswell, the best horse won.
I doubt talent,don't think she will hit these heights again anywhere other than Epson
