I've had my redmi note 9 for 11 months. Superb phone @ affordable price. Very durable. I've dropped it a few times.. no damages to internals, no damages to screen. I use the original case protector and it takes the brunt of abuse. I have, however, replaced the screen protector twice.

Why would you need to change the screen protector if it's scratch proof?
Mine has dents on the back from the drops. I was using a very thick and strong rubber case instead of the stock case it came with and still the back side has damaged. Kinda makes me buy a new back and replace it.

The RN9 has already a really strong front glass the plastic screen protector makes no sense. Sadly, my phone got bent in my pocket with the screen dividing from the body at the top side. The proximity sensors no longer work as intended. I also got some permanent blue and orange marks on the LCD from than bend. What I think the phone failed at was definitely the plastic back cover. Overall, the phone is already bottlenecked by its CPU and software. MIUI feels really bad. The custom ROM availability for this phone is also falling apart because of that MediaTek chipset. my battery health went to 80% after 2 years now. Calibration in the AccuBattery Pro took me about a week after my normal usage. Hopefully, I can at least fix the bend, I don't care about the screen, I just want the sensor back and working again, without pressing firmly onto the screen to guide the sensor holes from the glass.
Soundz unfortunate. Regarding Protection, 1 should alwayz use Total Protection since glass is Glass & stuff can happen to it. Appreciate.👍🏽
@@DennisCNLew I mean, that's true. I've seen a few displays putting a really thin layer of glue in between the LCD and the glass itself which should hold all the pieces together in case of a cobweb. I wish Xiaomi could do better when it comes to the build quality, especially their trend of making plastic back covers. I think that's their weak spot. Or the main frame of the phone, which is held by the screen itself instead the body.
Edit: I also went through a few screen protector replacements. Luckily, the glass itself has no scratches and the oleophobic layer is still present on it too.
Now Mi is giving Glass backz in the Note series. I meant sand will scratch glass & there is alwayz a risk of Drop Damage\Shatter! Thankz for watching bro.👍🏽
