Love your videos bro! Probably the most informative videos on SV650's. One question, sv650 wheelies are not recommended due to oil starvation, is this still the same on newer models?
Im from the Netherlands and since i have a license restriction here i still have to ride on a 125cc. In about a year im stepping up to an a2 license and im definitely getting a sv650! New subscriber
Thanks for sharing man. I've had my SV650 since July as a new rider and I'm already dreaming of something a little more peppy like an MT09 or similar 3 banger. I also wondering a lot about GSX-R 's but the ergonomics of a sportbike have become off-putting since I tried my friends CBR600RR.
I agree the riding position is a lot better on a SV or MT than a super sport. But then they both have their drawbacks and strengths. Would be nice to have a gsxr as a second bike.
My first bike (an SV) should be coming within a week and I should have my license by the end of the month, but I’m already planning what bike I’ll be getting next year... (hint it’ll probably be an MT10). Meanwhile, I’ll definitely be getting the Competition Werks exhaust on the SV ASAP.
Nice bike! love my Suzuki DRZ can’t go wrong with a Suzuki 💯 I’m still riding as well and I usually do all winter if the roads are dry enough lol how long have you been riding? ✌🏻🇨🇦
Thanks for the great content. What do you think about used 3rd Gen sv650? I've been on the fence about it since there's not a lot of price difference between a new and 2-4 year old bikes. Not keen on the old carburetor ones and the gladius is just shit.
Long as the bike is in good condition and not high mileage then I totally understand why prices are like that. But if you can get one that hasn’t been abused then you should be okay. Prices are high because lots of people love these bikes and are willing to pay it. Good luck on your purchase!
Yes I would just check the tires and all your lines and make sure there is no cracking in the lines. The tires if they’re old they might not grip properly and cause you to slide the bike. But from what I’ve heard people take those model SV650s to a quarter million km on the odometer no problem long as you keep up on maintenance. Good luck on your purchase!
All new bikes have this smell. It’s just all the new parts and oils that the parts are coated in. I’ve owned two new bikes and they both smelled like that for the first year or two
I don’t know man but in my experience all motorcycles have a weird smell to them after you ride them leave them in the garage. Just take a look around all your wiring and everything and see if there’s anything that looks like it might be melting and if you can’t find anything and you really are concerned then I would take it to a mechanic. Wish I could help you more
No smells on mine. But then again I've only had it a few months brand new. I've had smells after an oil change but once the oils are burnt off, there's nothing.

That’s the seat that comes on the sv650x. I got it from Suzuki Canada for like $200 or so

Ya I got the cover from Suzuki also. It’s a bit different than the one from the x. I have just the regular sv650
Guys, when your SV gets hot and after riding for while do feel the smell of burn? like burn plastic or it's only me
