I love how newspaper zombie was the true boss of. Ohio pvz, because he is so tired of getting his soduku puzzle getting destroyed that he decided to get his revenge by eating a Mario mushroom and grabbing plant parts
Honestly, I love 7-10. It’s absolutely insane, but at the same time feels kind of “fair”. It gives you all the tools you need to succeed, there is no second-guessing if you brought the wrong plants, because these plants were specifically tested to be able to beat the level. You lose the majority of your starting setup early on, and yet they don’t need to stay alive long for you to have a chance. Despite everything thrown at you, it always feels like you’re hanging on, even if only barely. Then when you get used to and comfortable with the first phase, it throws a harder version at you, yet none of it is something you can’t learn. It feels *consistent*. And that’s something super rare with this kind of mod. Do you agree?
The problem is what is far and balanced, some people called the original brutal mode balanced, balanced is relative and after a mod retries a level 50 times to test all the plants they get só good at it that balanced for them is borderline impossible for a casual player and them there is this mod where I doubt the modder even tried to beat some of the levels or just used doom shroom spam on all of them

Lemme enlighten y'all with 2 random facts that I discovered the 2nd time I watched the world 7 streams that rcch forgot to cover: -number 1:Wall-nut Zombies can multiply if they reach a certain point of the lawn (which is actually not that threatening,since they die rather quickly before reaching that point anyways) -number 2:there was another Catapult variant that throws bug sprays. No idea what they do since everytime they're seen in action his shots were either blocked by Umbrella Leaf or instakilled immediately
There should be a fanmade brutal mode/brutal mode EX/brutal mode EX+ wiki so we can see and discuss tactics to take down each version of each zombie in each mod. Mainly because I want to have my friend make up plants to counter some brutal mode zombies, but I can't remember what all the variants are.
There will be two strategies doom shroom spam and all other instants spam. This mod is way past balanced to the point of being in kaizo hackrom rather than a mod

I know this probably wasn't intended, but the new zombie variants and the final boss consisting of random sprites, from Zen Garden tools to even plant fragments, gives me the vibe that, lore-wise, EX+ is actually a demonic, Herobrine-type entity living in the game, capable of freely editing code but not creating any data of it's own, so it just uses whatever it has access to that already exists in order to hopefully stop the player from beating the game.

7-10 is probably the most creative thing ive seen done in pvz1 and actually looks somewhat fun... As long as youre capable of memorizing everything the boss does
The thing with PVZ2 is that it's limited,VERY limited. All the PVZ2 mods that are decently hard (that I can think of) are Eclise and Shuttle ... But,there's an upcoming one called "Mulchiverse" that seems to be challenging enough. It comes with Giga-Gargantuar variants for every world and more
Pvz2 just has so many more mechanics than 1. In 1, it only takes a few well executed changes to make a difference. Think of how concise and straightforward ex+ is, wirh simple things like letterheads fundamentally changing the game. For pvz2, they would have to make significant changes to every single zombie in every world. Way less focused, way more nonsensical and unbalanced.
