Guy being a real homey looking out for kakashi during his dark days. Kakashi imparting the importance of bonds and friendship to Itachi.
Shisui and Itachi talented young people who have seen and experienced world of pain & darkness, could have easily become powerful if they switched sides & craved for power yet still chose to sacrifice for the greater good.
These episodes were some of the great backstory in naruto of really amazing characters.

Izanagi is a legendary tier technique Danzo used right away, Shisui had no idea that he was even capable of doing that nor did he even know about that jutsu. Shisui got uchiha'd by a non-uchiha.
In Itachi's Novel, they show that Shisui was poisoned by someone from the aburame clan, and he was going to die regardless. It's why he gave Itachi his eye and committed suicide.
i think that was the only way the show could have made it believable , if it went any longer , i don't think Danzo could have taken the eye...

People really don't realize how young Itachi is. He was only around 13 when he killed his clan and joined the akatsuki. For comparison Naruto and Sasuke were 13 during the chunin exams so that really helps you realize how mature and well written Itachi is as a character.

In an japanese interview kishimoto was asked to name 1 character other than naruto and sasuke whose absence would collapse the plot of the entire series.

They said this last reaction tho. Mentioning it wasn’t part of the main manga plot but the creator wrote this in a separate book. I think they just have a bad definition of fillers cause they just view all of it as “bad episodes that the anime team just made up,” which is only like, half-right, cause there are still episodes like these that are canon and really good.

@@PlagueFather I cant remember when these took place when it was aired, but it’s still “filler” in a sense because the anime catches up with the manga way too fast. So instead of putting original stories no one cares about then why not just adapt into the anime as “fillers” these novels that Kishi acknowledged. This CAN be considered canon in a way because regardless a Filler imo means it’s just a way for the anime to put content before it catches up to the manga bc for the life of me they dont want to cut these episodes into cours. Kakashi Gaiden was placed as a “filler” (it was totally placed in a random part of the anime instead of Pre-Shippuden/Post-Part I) when they realized Obito was important to be adapted.

Danzo doesn't know that Tobi/Madara/Obito isn't part of the Clan as a member vs just by blood. You claim "she sent genin to retrieve *blah blah*" yet u forget that all of those genin that were sent were all chuunin level in strength (except Choji, but he still proves it) according to the proctor's at the exams, they just didn't have chuunin level decision making according to them. The village was on HIGH alert after the mess that HIRUZEN created by not killing Orochimaru before he left the village
If she had sent the female characters from the leaf, then that would b horrible, but she allowed Naruto and Shikamaru to assemble the best of the genin while having a contingency sending the sand siblings who were all chuunin and above in strength individually to back up the ONLY ppl she had available, then sent the top jonin after them right after. Under those circumstances, what would you have done? What do u think n e other leader in the series would've done given those circumstances???
Hashirama is praised as the leader of the Senju, but what did he really accomplish leadership wise besides creating the first village? He tried to balance the nations by scattering these sentient beings called Biju like they were toys without a will of their own to nations outside of their habitats forcefully just to please some idiots that wanted war n e way right after that balance was supposed to b created. Tobirama IMO was probably the best leader he did so much for the leaf, the other villages followed tobiramas example of the village system he created with the academy and everything else, he was a smart and good leader
@@xt3276 I can agree that he was a very smart and great leader that created A LOT for the ninja world, but as a leader itself, he was one of the worst leaders. He's the reason the Uchiha Coup even started, he was the reason Danzo and the Foundation were created (not necessarily bad, but created more problems down the line), he was the reason for the second great war that occurred after his death with his policies causing more strict behaviour down the line out of Hiruzen's control (Hamura especially since he was part of Tobirama's original squad with Hiruzen and Danzo).
Again, I get where u guys are coming from, but accomplishments don't always equal leadership. Look how many ppl respected Tobirama and Hashirama for their POWER. No one respected Tsunade for her power even though she is a sannin! After Hiruzen (RIP) the elders even considered Orochimaru before her and Jiraiya!!! Once during the 4th Hokage era, then after the death of Hiruzen, they still never showed her respect and now she's the most legendary Hokage to take the seat opposed from ppl admiring her power!
Not saying all other Hokage were shit compared to her and that she accomplished grandiose things, but the fact that she had the respect of ALL the other Kage and Madara, rebuilt the Leaf to the point that it was still on top even DURING the high alert status, and even laid the groundwork for the best Hokage after her not to struggle maintaining peace is phenomenal!
Not even a top tier fighter with too many crazy gimmicks and she worked for all of her respect instead of using her status to guide her achievements (by that I mean how Tobirama is the brother of Hashirama and they were both the head of the "most powerful clan" which got them unprecedented respect, and Hiruzen as well being the student of the previous kage before him, and so on)

Thus, the Second Shinobi World War started. Every village was for themselves during those times.
Tobirama didn’t cause the coup, obito summoning the 9 tails to destroy the leaf was the catalyst of the coup cause only the sharingan can control the 9 tails which made Donzo and everyone else suspicious of the uchiha, and they had every right to be, but danzo took it to the extreme and hiruzen was too fucking soft, the uchiha are also to blame for their demise for even trying to start a coup they didn’t see the bigger picture, only shisui and itachi saw the bigger picture of what a village is and what it means and what a coup d’état would cause unlike the clan.

Danzo was the reason why the village hated Naruto as a child. Only a select few of the higher ups knew the he was the Jinchuriki, and Hiruzen ordered for that to be kept confidential, but Danzo leaked that info to some of the clans in the village, and word got around from there. They basically just decided to make him the scapegoat for the Minato and the other people who died that night. He also left out the fact that Naruto was Minato's son.
Shisui needs his own mini-arc along with Minato and the first two hokages.

All of this is canon. Kishimoto wrote them in novels. He just didn't do them in the manga.

The reason Pat is right is because the “technicality” he speaks of is correct in this instance. The other 2 are looking at it through their perspective and not through Danzo’s. Madara was an Uchiha at the end of the day so he’s taking precautions towards them. It still baffles me how people hate on Danzo and then turn around and say that they like Tobirama....
I like Tobirama and I don't like danzo. I think the difference is the time they lived in and that I don't think Tobirama actually wanted the uchiha massacre, while DAnzou clearly wanted it. They both surely have their problems, but the difference is that danzou disregarded any other possibility to solve the solution going straight to the extreme. Meanwhile Tobirama's actions all were in the (ultimately vain) attempt to find the more peaceful solution.
Exactly, the point of donzo’s perspective is how would he know that madara’s goal is against the uchiha. There is no evidence suggesting that donzo could have possibly known what madara’s goal was. So therefore rationally (as hard as it may be to accept it) better to be safe than sorry and take care of the uchiha’s. Now, im not suggesting to “wipe” them out but see how they react and try to find out what’s going on before you make a move, thats what donzo was wrong about, he was right about being suspicious. If you see that they seem to be in good relations with madara and offered their help to him then you MAY have no choice than to kill them but exploring other options is always best and genocide should remain a last resort. Donzo may be a bitch but don’t let that cloud rationality of perspectives.

Tsunade literally fixed all of the leafs problems when she became hokage tho. Like they didn’t know who to put in charge and donzo was trying to take over while incoming threats of enemies were coming in and tensions between the sand and leaf were getting worse. If there’s one thing she did was put the village back on track after everything that had happened not to mention she’s hella smart as a medical ninja. She made the village stable way more than under the third hokages second term.

Look, these episodes are just great, period, canon or in manga or not, great stuff. Danzo was definitely discriminating against the Uchiha clan out of fear of not being in complete control of the situation. The Uchiha clan eventually became what Danzo was fearing. But he wasn't right at first, and his holding the Uchiha back was a bad idea, just like going underground and not helping. Sometimes you have to trust the other side, that's what makes it a negotiation. But Danzo was that sort of extreme person that he said "no, if I can't be sure they won't ever turn on the leaf, we destroy them". It's sad that the Uchiha clan couldn't look past the clan. I mean, it's understandable since they were discriminated against as a group, but it just sucks because at the end, they ended up wanting to go against what was best for the village for the sake of a single clan being fed up. Again, from their perspective, it makes sense, and it's completely reasonable that they would want the discrimination to stop. Even the Third with his "softhearted" response was right to say "If the Uchiha are willing to change, the village must also change and stop discriminating against them." The response of the Uchiha clan to the discrimination was probably not the best because it could have lead to horrible things, and many innocents lost, but Danzo's way was also wrong and ended up causing the Uchiha to feel the way they felt. Only certain Uchiha who thought like a Hokage could see that the way of thinking on both sides, Danzo and the Uchiha, weren't right. Ultimately, it just sucks we lost the Uchiha clan because of Danzo and partly because of Tobi doing the Nine Tails attack. Itachi had to go through so much just to protect the Leaf and his brother from shit they really had nothing to do with at the time. Great reaction, keep it up.
You guys have to understand that although these last few episodes are filler because they didn’t appear in the manga... they are still based on canon material and are mentioned multiple times to have happened in the past. It’s just we didn’t really see it, that’s why these episodes are so good. The are filler based on the canon material we already know.
I always wondered why Danzo hated or fear the Uchiha clan but use Itachi Uchiha, to slaughter his people instead of danzo doing it himself. But I guess he knew he would die if he did it instead of Itachi.

Some people will say that Danzo did everything he did to protect the village when in the meantime he hid underground every time the village was attacked by the Nine Tails/Orochimaru/Pain. He actually sacrificed the whole village just to have an opportunity to become Hokage. Danzo is not made of the same material that the other Hokages are made of, he lacks the will of fire.
