Just to think in past times the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch used to be one of their premier events attracting thousands of spectators and well over 100 entries. There was probably a couple of hundred spectators there on Sunday and only 66 entrants.
Probably because in past times the FFF was essentially a gateway to formula 1. The winner would get a test in a formula 3 car and pretty much be guaranteed a drive in F1 in the future. It’d be like holding an F4 festival nowadays. The difference is, nobody racing FF1600’s is making it to formula 1 now
To be honest from my angle its a hard one to judge. Obviously Foster is going to need to re-join so that the car won't bog down but everyone else can't just disappear! Its too hard to tell how much space there is around them from my shot of the accident.
At least we got racing in this time! Even if it was a bit of a challenge to keep it on!! Great footage as always!
2:20 He’s always wanted to tick the perfect 360 box! Love that self applause.
Why thank you
Thanks for braving the weather to film this, always good to see our spins and bins on TH-cam (MX5 #577)

Agree. I was there with my son (17) and even he commented on how quiet it was.

Horrible weather 😅😅 How about doing Mclaren/Clearways for a change when it's wet? Or did they put fences up there as well nowadays? 🤔
It is tempting but I'm too set in my ways to change! Hopefully they will resurface it soon and the grip levels will even out again.
I was watching on the stream, the guy that came from 22nd and got taken out really ruined my day 😡
What did you think of the grand final incident and are you coming to the Walter Hayes this year?
Which incident are you referring too? And yes I will be doing the Hayes this year, its been a while and I've missed it!
@CarsAreRacing The Foster and Smith one. That'll be a good watch then!! The Hayes is the best way to end the season!
