- In this video, I will show you the best homegrown cut flowers for roadside farm stand, including zinnias, dahlias, cosmos, hydrangeas, and other perennial flowers, that are blooming in my gardens Zone 7. I will also share top tips for summer flower care, mini garden tour, and cooking. Of course, I will share my secret floral design technique for creating your own beautiful flower bouquets.
About Me: Hi! My name is Crane. I grow cut flowers in my suburban cottage home garden in a naturalistic style in New Jersey Zone 7. I make garden bouquets and sell at the roadside stand in front of my house. I also grow all kinds of vegetables and, sometimes, cook. My cosmos will not break that way. I tried all different ways whenever I didn't have my clippers on me. I have to cut them of leave it. 🫤. It makes my heart feel so happy when I watch your videos. I bought myself a Dickies tool belt to wear in the garden because I’m always leaving my clippers somewhere. I now always have my clippers, phone, and twine with me. I’ve only had it a week but it’s been great. Nicole from Flower Hill Farm always wears one. It’s not bulky at all. I hardly know I have it on. Thought of it when you were dead heading your Cosmos. 😊

Sunflowers! I'm loving my Italian White from West Coast Seeds. They're multi branching cut and come again with the most beautifully proportioned flowers in a wonderful pale shade of the softest creamy white. Thanks for the tutorial. I'd enjoy some shorter videos (I don't always have 40 minutes at one time.)

Looks like you're finding a good life balance! I know and feel exactly the same about not wanting to be forced into being a robot. When I sell my pies, it will only be as a creative outlet, to give others a quality product, and for charitable reasons. I refuse to make only pies that are top sellers or to take pie orders (like for Thanksgiving). I'll prefer to sell by the slice and when they're gone, they're gone. Love the humor, UniCrane! 😂

I just bought 4 hydrangeas from Fred Meyers - they were half off so I got them for $5 each!! 😁 I love your Little Lime Hydrangeas!! ❤ I don’t have any of those ones yet - waiting for them to go on sale. 😅 I live in Brush Prairie, Washington Zone 8B… Question: Do you keep your Little Lime Hydrangeas in full sun..? I bought a few hydrangeas a couple of months ago - about 15 of them, lol!! 😂😅 But we got hit with a heatwave and they disliked the location I put them in which is somewhat a sunny location. 😢 Maybe it was just the heatwave but not quite sure… I watered them twice a day - sometimes, a third late at night and they still looked so sad!! 😭
