There Is nothing wrong with giving a lories or lorikeets honey as a treat. Especially raw honey. It os so much better than the sucrose (refined sugar) that is in most manufacturered lory nectars. These birds thrive on carbohydrates and sugars.
You are really frustrating the burds. As you talk you hold the target stick and they will get to it and then you move and take It away. This really frustrates them from what I see.
