    As the driver of a FF1600 Honda powered car (non sim) I want to thank you for this Video. I recently ran Summit for the first time as the last race of our season here with FRCCA in the NE USA. Your video helped over the race weekend to a win on the saturday and a second place on sunday two weeks ago at Summit and that got me the Drivers Championship from my club for 2023. Thank you.

    I did some one armed laps around here today.
    Just... WHY is this track + car combo so perfect? It feels like a dream to drive with the F1600 around here, even though my times are around 1:17 right now.
    I hope they bring this track for the open series next season. It is just so, so good.

      I think it flows very well with the formula ford, it is just the right size and length for me :D

    Great guide, helping me understand where I'm loosing some time, my braking points not far off, but now I can see where I'm loosing it Cheers

    I’m at 1:17.2 right now - looking forward to dropping a second due to this guide (that would be good enough for me)

    this guide helped me to drop a tenth or so, 1:16.2 is my best ❤

    The laps are really useful, thanks for taking the time to put them together. What sort of brake balances have you been using in this series and on this track?

    • @Erilla01
      @Erilla01  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the default for the fixed setup, that is 58%

    great lap!
    the hotlaps you post on your channel, is it with lower fuel or the full 15L tank?
    im finding kinda stressful doing great laps on practice and then having to qualy with such a heavier car... any tips?

    • @radekkkk
      @radekkkk ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The fuel level is not much as important as cold tires. On your outlap, accelerate and brake like crazy + do some weaving but do not lock up the tires. The high irating guys even do 2 outlaps to perform killer time on 1st attempt.

    • @dvpsimracer
      @dvpsimracer ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@radekkkk what is the best window in tire temp you would say? i'm using a simhub overlay to check on tires but i feel like it doesn't change as much and everytime i go out of pits in different sessions, feels like the tires are just in different temperatures, but i don't think it changes too much during the outlap.. what do you use to check on tire temps?

    • @Erilla01
      @Erilla01  ปีที่แล้ว

      I still had alot of fuel left with this run, but as Radek K is saying its more about the temp in the tires, I dont check them. I just drive and after 2 - 3 laps I start to try and push.
      For every car its different, with the formula Vee doing a outlap at pace is bad for your tires, and I usually cruise with that around, then push on the first lap it has gained me alot of time in quali.
      For the Formula Ford I try and work the tires a bit on the outlap, go a lap with pace, not full push, then on the 2. lap at pace I push.

    I get horrendous understeer in turns 7,8,9. Even when the tyres are warm I still need to lift. This kills my laptime. I don't know how you do it. Maybe I'm taking too much speed into turn 6.

    • @Erilla01
      @Erilla01  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like that, I only managened it a couple of times so it is hard to hit

    So I'm running a 1:16.5 consistently I'm pretty sure I'm losing most of my time going around 5 and into 6 cause my line there is always a little sloppy but i for the life of me don't understand what you mean about the curb on turn 9 I get pretty greedy on taking that curb and I've only had it spit me out like twice and that was when i practically had my right wheels in the grass and if I don't take that curb I usually need to dab the brakes to keep from running wide so I'm a little confused and wondering if I'm losing time here that i can't really see

      Hard to say, have you tried blap file, and follow me around in with that, it can give some insight sometimes :)

    • @darrenwilks1587
      @darrenwilks1587 ปีที่แล้ว

      Got a high 17 but still need to tune the pedals moza SR-P with the tuning kit. It's a big upgrade from the Logitech 920 pedal set. There is a low 17 high 16 in me but that car goes really light in places on the lap

    How do I get 6-9 full throttle? I always go off before turn 7, I just go way too wide

    • @Erilla01
      @Erilla01  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This can be down to the track, when I did the guide it was not this season, that can have alot to say, but I did a race here and it should be possible still

      @@Erilla01 its bumpiness, the way I feel like have almost no grip anywhere but in straights...although just now I improved my best (1:18 nothing fancy) and qualified 3rd but all went up in smoke in lap 5. Lost control, hit the wall backwards. 12 minutes repairs. This track and I don't get along.
