My relative got the Cornell transfer option, too. He accepted it. He went to our state flagship college for one year, did well, then was automatically accepted as a transfer to Cornell and he got his degree there. Also, Thumb Up for putting the college name on-screen and for using Chapters in your video timeline. You didn't put the decision on-screen but included the emails instead. Your list at the end of the video showing all the decisions was helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on full ride to Vandy! I went to my dream school (Baylor) and had some student loans back when Baylor was way less expensive. I graduated with my undergrad and then went somewhere else for My Master’s and just paid off my loans a couple of years ago. It took like 22 years. If I knew then what I know now, yeah, I would have taken a full ride. Life doesn’t have to start out with a ton of debt! Congrats!
Late to the party but BRO, full ride to Vandy!! That's insanely impressive man, congrats on your hard work and best of luck. Looking forward to more videos
I'm currently at Cornell after doing the transfer option! I went to a public state school for a year, and transferred afterwards. Really painless process, and I love ILR now. Would definitely be able to answer any questions you may have!
Anchor Down! It’s a phenomenal school that I slowly grew to deeply love over my four years there (almost 20 years ago - wow time flies); I hope you have a similar experience. Congratulations!
Can you post a vid talking about your ecs? I'm super bummed out after a bad freshman year (3.6) and I want to see the people that get into Cornell. Thanks and congrats!
Congratulations on your acceptances! Also, congrats on going to Vanderbilt! Class of 2026 Rules! Thanks for the awesome video, it was interesting especially because I'm new here.
Almost everyone I meet who went to Emory tells me they wished they got into Vandy, instead. Emory (Wake Forest, Davidson, Boston College, Boston University, Tulane, & Georgetown) are kind of an Ivy League/Vandy/Duke reject school.
Stats? That would be good for context if you could add above where you list schools, etc. (I realize stats are only part of the equation and it's all very unpredictable).
hey congratulations for getting accepted into all of those colleges. UCLA is my dream school, that's great that you got in, I didn't end up applying there but if I were to choose one school it would be UCLA. But any of those school are good haha! What are you studying?
@@rheemind Good luck with your studies at Vandy, great school. And same with you at your college, @Amandazera. Just an informational with respect to the two UCs to which you applied. UCLA is actually a bit harder now to gain entry to as seen in the stats between both universities, and it's also reflected in the acceptance rate. You showed the AR of UCLA from Google which listed a 14% rate, which runs a year in arrears and is actually from 2020, the year COVID adversely affected all colleges' rates. You showed UCB's as being 9% for out-of-state students; I'm not sure what year that was though, because [it] wasn't from within the past five years, but rates for International students is especially restrictive at UCB (as well as UCLA). The following is from 2021 which might serve as a better prediction model for 2022, which still hasn't been published. UCB had a tough time with a city ordinance which was to severely reduce enrollment for the fall of 2022 and reduce the AR considerably, but the university and state found a workaround and will enroll a full freshman class. Here are the numbers from 2021 for the residential cohorts (best viewed in landscape if by phone): UCB UCLA CA Residents 16.8% 10.0% Out-of-State 14.0% 13.8% International 8.1% 9.0% Total 14.4% 10.8%
I could understand the disappointment of not getting into Harvard or Stanford but, hey, it's 2022 and Vanderbilt is BETTER than Cornell nowadays. In the south, going to Vanderbilt is like saying you go to Yale or Harvard in the north.
@@rheemind You'll have a great time at Vandy. Campus is the most beautiful I have ever seen, students are friendly and supportive and academics are top notch with opportunities to switch majors quite easily and not too many graduation requirements. Girls are hot and many well funded activities to chose from. Nashville is one of the best places to live in US with great food, clean, public parks, culture and entertainment venues. Whatever you do, if you like BBQ, try the Pig Leg Porker and get the dry rub. Best I've ever had.

Amazing
thats great
You got Vanderbilt full ride, getting reject from Berkeley doesn’t hurt that much.
yea that’s why i didn’t care lol
@@rheemind I’m super curious on how you are one of the very few people who got a full ride. Please drop a stats video as soon as possible.
Your hair kills me. This is how you know you're too old to be watching these vids, lol. Congratulations, though- some amazing results. 🙂

sure! video in the next few days
Serious question, if "OMA" means Mom, how do you say Pop? Is it "OPA"?
"appa" for father. "oppa" is a term used by women when they talk to men slightly older than them :)
Hello dear, may you teach us how to apply the scholarship that you have done?
🐐
I'm guessing you do debate with that cites extension?
used to lol

@@rheemind nice! Im studying communications as well
