Gotta stake my claim first.
It’s been more than 30 years since my father showed me and my brother this masterpiece. We would cheer for VanDamme against Chong Li and scream at every cool movement, and there were plenty of them. We would watch it every weekend, on Saturday afternoons of endless fun. These days helped us bond more than any other activity we would do together. We joined Karate classes and my brother showed incredible talent, even performing Van Damme’s leg split.
This song literally brings tears to my eyes, because it reminds me of our childhood and the men we became. With all my heart I would like to thank all of the directors, producers, actors and musicians involved in the making of this film. You inspired us to be fighters. To fight to survive.
How awesome man 😀Hope your comment gets more likes! 👍
Absolutely brotha. This is my favorite movie of all - time. And with this masterpiece somg puts the cherry to the pie. All well rounded of a movie.
One Sat evening 1988 going to the movie store with my parents and little brother and little sister of 6 1/2 years old. (Twins) . I was just 7 1/2 year old. We went to rent some movies. We rented like 2 movies and my dad and i chose this movie of Blood Sport. Then we went home amd all of us watched it in the livingroom while it waa getting dark night and eating popcorn and snacks. Since then this movie marked my life. I wanted to be fit and muscular and hit the gym when i grew up. This movie always inspired me since kid. This movie came guy in 1987, a year before i rented this movie. I would never forget this day. This movie and song brings gives me a lot of nostalgic of my childhood and the family moments time we had togehter. God Bless this actors and musicians.
I love training in the gym and play piano. I live a healthy life. My mom a hardcore woman in the gym at 65. Agile and fit. 1991 and 1994 my other 2 sisters were born. They never knew what was to live the 80's. Thank God all my family is still alive. And i still live around this same streets and area. All my life in the same streets and city.

2016 was one of my darkest years. I suffered a terrible depression and anxiety and low academic performance on high school. And diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. Bloodsport and this song saved my life inspiring me to practice judo and overcome my depression.
Thats killer man. Amazing what music can do. I was 10 yrs old when this came out in 88 and inspired me to walk into my first kempo dojo...22 yrs later and my martial arts journey continues with even more passion than when i first started, studying any and all effective disciplines. Song still gets me amped. Never give up my dude. Awesome to hear this movie still inspires youth
I also suffer extreme depression and anxiety. Endorphins from exercise and being involved in physical activity has all but cured it. Keep going!
Wow what an amazing string person you are! You inspire me as I have suffered trauma and struggle also....

@Ethan Wood LOL you dont unterstand that.
Lol 1998 born. I was exposed to some of the glory
@Ethan Wood you are not 5 but 50 right lol
I was born in '88, but was exposed to all the 70's and '80s because of my older brother (10 years older) and my dad. Everything, movies, music, all types of art were done with waaay more passion than nowadays, save a few exceptions. I still like a lot of modern music, but I only see passion, when it comes to music at least, in most metal music, specially extreme metal. Then, some ambient music, otherwise, not a lot of passion in more mainstream music and movies.
96', Luckily I was exposed to a lotta late 70's -80's songs. Can't say I've been to places that were stuck in the 80's, maybe to the ones that were stuck in the 90's though. Wonder what it was like. 00's wasn't too bad for me at least.
I did watch a few 80's-90's movies and shows though.
Today’s generation will never have what we had in the 80s n 90s
I was just thinking that! Arnold, Sly, Van Damme, Seagal all in their primes making great movies!

@@obbymillion any life advice for a 22 year old
@@jaybaker542 Aye man, I hope you doing good. I'd like to give you some advice my dad taught me:
1/ Don't live your life in a hurry.
2/ Patience is the key to everything.
3/ Enjoy the hard journey. It’s the hardest part, but the best part and at the end it's gonna be worth it.
4/ Lean into your curiosity.
5/ And last but not least: Learn to change gears quickly. Nothing stays the same, so in order to be successful, you must learn to change gears quickly. People come and go, jobs come and go, responsibilities come and go….but as long as you perfect the art of changing gears to accommodate whatever is coming at you, you will encounter success.
I hope that it can help you, it is still helping me today. Have a good day man, God bless.
@@jaybaker542 - 34yr old here. Look to the past, learn from the past, never listen to these whiny little pussies shilling their nonsense in the media wanting to erase everything from the past and tear down statues and monuments and shit. The world isn't full of racists and hate.
Shit is rough right now, sure, but it's always been rough. Today's rough it just a different flavor of yesterday's rough, so if you look back, you might find ways of taking all the dumb shit people struggled with back in the day and mold it into some good tips that could help you curb some dumb shit people struggle with today.
Don't blame boomers or politicians. We all out here trying to make our way. Find your niche and stick with it even if nobody believes in you.
All these fuckers making millions on TH-cam and Twitch had people calling them losers and deadbeats all along the way until they finally made it, and now after working their asses off and keeping their eye on the prize, they can sit back and laugh at everybody that doubted them along the way while those naysayers are still busting their asses working a shitty 9 to 5 making pennies and wasting their lives paying bills.
I'm still working on finding my niche, and i'll be content if I can just manage to figure something out that pays the bills and keeps me from waking up miserable every morning.
Shit does get easier as you get older, I guess there's more pressure when you're young, and you get more patient when you're older. But don't hate or judge people. That crackhead on the corner might be an inch away from turning his life around, you just never know.
And most importantly(and this is coming from somebody who's become pretty good at keeping the demons of depression at bay after being diagnosed with chronic depression) SEEK LAUGHTER, enjoy comedy, surround yourself with funny people, push yourself out of your comfort zones.
Sometimes you wake up on a Saturday and just want to lay in bed. Don't. Get up and go out, even if it's to walk around a friggin Target and have lunch somewhere afterward. It may sound mundane, but even vanilla shit like that will give the caveman part of your brain a sense of satisfaction and achievement and could mean the difference between starting Monday in a good mood or a bad mood.
That's pretty much a nutshell rundown of advice I'd go back in time and give myself when I was 22.
Oh yea, and don't regret shit. I did PLENTY of dumb shit throughout my 20s, but I don't regret any of it. Get comfortable with your faults, be happy in your own skin, enjoy your own company and don't rely on other people for your own happiness.
