Nice video as usual, Fricassé is an internationally well known Tunisian street food, prepared in every Tunisian house and consumed every single day in Tunisian streets ... It is a fried dough, basically filled with harissa, Tunisian tuna, olives and boiled potatoes (a lot of Tunisians add other stuff, but basically this filling is standard) PS: pineapples aren't used in Tunisian spicy cuisine ... For any eventual next visit, make sure to try some well known Tunisian street food ;there is leblebi , ojja , keftaji , brick, sandwhiches; mlawi, chappati, makloub etc ... I recommend that you check Tunisian Street Food TH-cam channel to know all the names of Tunisian dishes and treats ...
but let's be honest, there is no street food lifestyle in Sousse, not like Tunis... I feel sorry for chris for not trying our spicy street food, he won't find such a unique cuisine in the Mediterranean sea.
You can't compare the capital street food where 4 million people reside and much more visit the capital every single day to that of Sousse or elsewhere, in Tunisia. I think, however, they have another spot for street food that he might miss.... @@Hafedh-Rebai

Loved the place got a little lost inside the medina. Also tried the chaipiti (probably wrote it wrong) did meet some people from the video and also bought some souvenirs.
You know what makes your videos so successful? After watching them, I have the feeling I have been to these places myself! So informative and interesting, but never ever boring. And a great sense of humour!!!! We would be besties if we lived in the same countries. ❤

This is a great place to visit. The city is located 140 km south of the capital Tunis. Their olive oil is very good! If I have the chance, I will definitely go there! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Chris, I really like your videos, I have been going to Tunisia from 2014 ,Sousse is my favourite place. There is a really nice resturant in the middle of medina that does cook all traditional tunisian food called Resturant el Soffra.
I went there over 40 years ago. Great wine and I fell in love for the first time with sardines fresh out of the sea and grilled. Oh the brik and egg was one of my fav. A great wine back then was haut mornag. We stayed in the Tour khalef hotel
I suggest to try Lablabi. It is so good. If you are not into spicy food, then ask for extra mild. If you get approached by someone to visit his/her family do not regret to do it. Because trust me, it will definitely a very nice experience. Take care and enjoy my beautiful sousse!

That fricasse that you've eated is bread friyed in olive oil and stuffed with potato (not pineapple in fact pinaapple is not so common) tuna(not beaf) and harissa( the hot sauce ) the guys in the shop didn't understoud you but I am here for you bro. nice to see you enjoying the trip.

if you want to have a good experience with street food you have to go on tour with a local, soussa is a very big city it's not only the medina. for the fricassé it is composed of harissa ( red pepper sauce ), tuna, potatoes ( and not pineapple ) olives and sometimes scrumbled eggs

if you want to have a good experience with street food you have to go on tour with a local, soussa is a very big city it's not only the medina.
for the fricassé it is composed of harissa ( red pepper sauce ), tuna, potatoes ( and not pineapple ) olives and sometimes scrumbled eggs

However, to be honest, the bracelet seller in the white shirt mentioned that one letter costs 3 Dinar when said in French "un letter 3 Dinar", but it's still quite pricey. I noticed that in your videos they always talk to you in French, and you think you understand, but you don't. I think it's time to learn French 😅😅
