@@nobody.6474 Haha, that's a great question! I think it takes me about 20-30 minutes per tree. I crocheted all of those in a few days - I had lots of gifts that year. 😂 Big hugs!!
Bonjour Sylvie, merci pour votre gentil commentaire ! Ça me rend si heureux ! J'utilise google translate pour ce message, mais j'essaie d'apprendre le français - en faisant mes cours quotidiens :)
Lovely thank you. The twine looks very rustic especially with the yarn colour too. If not giving them to someone with children I might put a bead or a bell on the twine for the largest tier
Hello,, 🙋I love this tree 😊 I've watched your tutorial and it has given me the confidence to have a go at making one. Thank you. I have now purchased the pattern and will learn how to read it. 😊
Yay!!🎄 That makes me so happy and thank you!!!! If you have any questions about the pattern and how to read it, don't hesitate to email me at help@yarnsociety.com! xoxo
Hi guys! Feel free to use a D or E hook with this pattern. You can use any hook size really, just know it will be bigger or smaller than mine. Here's the free written pattern as well. Rest of the info is in description box. yarnsociety.com/patterns/rustic-tree-ornaments/ 🎄
Hi Sophie, the second layer has 10 rounds total and the third layer has 12. You can check out the free pattern here: yarnsociety.com/patterns/rustic-tree-ornaments/ (Just click on the tabs to get to the different layers;)
Hi Taylor, I just went to look and I can't believe this but I never wrote it down anywhere. When are you planning on making one? I can make one this week and let you know. I can get a ton out of a skein of yarn though, it doesn't take much. But I can make one this week and let you know for sure!🙌🏻 So sorry about that! HUgs
@@YarnSociety I was just wondering because I was thinking about selling them on my etsy shop. If you don't have it I can probably figure it out! Also, im changing the last round of the bottom and middle layer to white, and the whole top layer white and it looks like a snowy tree!
@@taylorwolfram3871 ha, I just wrote you back. I'll work on one tonight and then if you have the full yardage you can minus a bit for the white. Send me your link when you get your trees up on Etsy - if you'd like!! I can link to my free pattern for those looking for finished trees🙌🏻
so im really confused, im suuuuuper new to crocheting. and the yarn says no where what size it is. when i click on the link for it it says to use 2 different sized crochet hooks when doesn't make sense to me. so what exact size yarn should i be using and what exact size crochet hook should i be using. cuz i tried it with 5 mm yard and a 5mm crochet hook and the stitches were so tight i could barely get one through let alone 2 in the same stitch. sos
Hi there! Glad to help! You can use any worsted weight yarn (#4 medium weight yarn). I used Knit Picks Comfy Worsted which I linked below and you can use a D (3.25mm) crochet hook or an E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook... whichever you're more comfortable with. If you're a tight crocheter then I would suggest to use the E hook. Hope that helps, let me know if you have anymore questions!
@@YarnSociety another question, so sorry to bother. so the #4 yarn i have says to use a crochet hook of 5mm. so what you have for this tutorial is just #4 yarn but using a 3.50 mm crochet hook instead? correct?
No bother at all! Yes, I used the 3.50mm hook. It's a bit of a smaller hook, but you can also use a 5mm if that's what you have on hand. The tree will just come out a bit bigger, but that's ok, it'll still be super cute. If you are a beginner, you may want to use the bigger hook for ease until you get used to the stitches. I hope that helps:)
You can use a E/4 (3.50mm) crochet hook or a D hook if you'd like. All the supplies are in the description box below. There are supplies at the beginning of the video as well if that helps:) I hope you enjoy making them, they're one of my favorites!
I love your videos but unfortunately I'm not very good at crocheting free hand or reading pattern so after you only said you were showing the first one I had to unpick it all and was not able to do the rest
Oh no. I'm sorry for that:( This video goes through each layer of the tree, just in bigger yarn. You can keep working with your thinner yarn and smaller hook to make the ornament. You'll have to rewind a few parts but it will show all three layers. th-cam.com/video/89PisfObiUk/w-d-xo.html I'm sorry I didn't do that for the other tree. Hope this helps!!!🎄
