    Has anyone thought of putting the transformers and substations in fenced in heater boxes or buildings on the ground and power cables underground? 🤔

      @@burtcooper612 Respectfully, I am not rich and all the power in my neighborhood is underground and yet we also lose power if the above ground distribution lines are disrupted by tree branches, car accidents, etc.. It is a matter of technologies available at the time of a particular neighborhood development. New neighborhoods have underground power (because it was designed like that from inception) old neighborhoods don't: rich or poor. To convert to underground power for existing neighborhoods you will have to disrupt the existing infrastructure (streets, water, sewer and gas lines, fiber optics and cable for internet, etc) not to mention that it will be very expensive. Perhaps an reliable emergency generator is in order. Best regards.

    My neighborhood in the Mopac 183 area got lucky. The electricity stayed on.
