Honestly I think losing his own Tatte and a relatively young age is a huge reason why he loved and respected his father in law so much.

Thank you David. My own identity and beliefs as a devoted Jew are only enhanced by the stories of the Rebbe and the wonderful works of the community. You may be a humble filmic storyteller but you carry this tradition beautifully. Steve

This tribute to the Rebbe, of blessed memory, of his father, of righteous memory, and of the Rebbetzin, of blessed memory, has so much to teach us. It's extraordinary. Poignant. I am a better person for hearing, seeing and sharing in this piece of a memoir.

I am not fluent in Hebrew or Yiddish but I noticed very different pronunciations of the word Torah in this video, some of which I'd never heard before. Can anyone explain the unusual pronunciations to me?

It looks like that the lubavitcher rebbe was really connected to his parents

May the Gan Eden resides within him, may his Nefish and Ruach become one and his Neshemah enters and become one with the Ayn Sof and dissolves within the Infinity of Havayah Elokim in the Three Veills of Negative Existence and reconstitute himself again outside of the Veils
