    Great video. I just wish you would have also added the pn for the entire strip. I'll keep searching and will check back if I find it. Thanks for helping me understand how to get to the strip. 🍻

    Bonjour merci pour la vidéo. Je me demandais si on peut changer la ligne des leds au complet au lieu dans changer seulement une ou 2? Car après avoir vue la vidéo je trouve que ça prend beaucoup d'outils pour réparer seulement que 2 leds?? Merci encore pour la vidéo je suis seulement un novice et j'apprend beaucoup grâce à de belles vidéos comme la vôtre. Merci

      Oui, absoluement, c'est meme la methode preferee. Remplacer toutes les DEL. Je ne sais pour cette tele, mais en general ca coute environ 60 a 100 CAD. Shopjimmy ou eBay.

    the brown diode is installed or not? if it is pressed in what series

    • @tomtechtod9200
      @tomtechtod9200  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I remember they had no function at all, because they were shorted on the PCB underneath. I didn't understand it at the time and still don't. If you do a diode test with your multimeter, what does it say?

    THE LEDS ARE THE SAME FOR 50L3400U

  • @anthony2009accord

    Hi, I'm pretty sure that the tv you did this with is the exact same one that I have. (Toshiba- Model number 50L3400U). I had a whole section of LEDs out. And when I unplugged and replugged the harness back in they all lit up except for just one light. Where the harness plugs into the lights it is slightly burnt from excessive heat. Can you please tell me what the resistance is on that resister that you installed? Is it a 15k resister? I am not the best at this and can not afford to pay someone to fix my tv. I would appriciate your help. Thanks!

    • @tomtechtod9200
      @tomtechtod9200  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anthony Johnson yes it was 15k. Make sure it's the same board/driver chip.

      Hi, Anthony. I have a question about Toshiba 50L3400U. Can you help me please? How many led strips are there? Only one on top of TV? When i turn on my TV, i can see clearly the image at the center, and on the right top and right bottom it's almost black, i can't see almost nothing. I imagine i need to change this backlight strip, i found one on shopjimmy.com, but i don't know if i need to buy one strip ot two strips to fix this problem. Thanks for your answer.

    do you know what the voltage of one led is?

  • @vaugeracketeer8092
    @vaugeracketeer8092 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ok so I managed to replace the hole strip with a new one and all of them work, however, after about 5-10min the bottom part of the leds will go off. Turn the tv off and on brings them on again but then goes off. Do you know why

    • @tomtechtod9200
      @tomtechtod9200  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vauge Racketeer if its a new strip then thats odd. Is it the same if you lower the backlight setting? (Not brightness)

      TomTechTod not sure haven’t been able to get my remote to work with my tv

    • @tomtechtod9200
      @tomtechtod9200  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can probably get to the menu also with the local buttons on the TV

    • @vaugeracketeer8092
      @vaugeracketeer8092 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TomTechTod yea it’s still goes off got the menu back and reseated the tv but still the same result

    • @tomtechtod9200
      @tomtechtod9200  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Presuming the strip is indeed new and has no defects, then either there is some bad connection from LED strip to power supply board/ LED driver board, or your LED driver is defective.

    Hello I want to buy the lead bar for a rca rc50g7L just like the video of the information where I buy it for the greetings videos.

      Sorry I don't know this model. If you are sure the backlight is defective you need to disassemble it and find out what LEDs or LED strips are being used.

    great, what is that brown component in the pcb? is it a diode ?

    • @tomtechtod9200
      @tomtechtod9200  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's marked as a diode yes BUT to my surprise there was a trace underneath so they were essentially shorted on the PCB these components. I know it doesn't make sense and it sounds unbelievable but that's what I found out when removing one of them believing they were shorted (all of them )

      it looks like a polarised capacitor, it denoted as "B" in an AOC TV, i dont know what does it mean..
