That's because Oshio composed this song, so he has the intensity whenever he plays this. He knows the feeling of the song, unlike Sungha who can interpret the song, but not fully feel the song since he wasn't the one who composed it.
I agree with everything you said but most japanese guitarists derive their style(inculding Oshio) from Isato Nakagawa and Masa Sumide aka the godfathers of japanese fingerstyle...but Kotaro is damn good
Yup. Tacoma Thunderhawk. Get one if you can since Tacoma are currently not producing guitars. I'd love to get a Papoose, but I can't find one since they're pretty rare at this point.

@VeGGeNtE89 u can play this with standard tuning of a normal guitar. in the video kotaro is using a baritone guitar, so it sounds different
