World class technique, emotional touch, musicianship, and expression…she delivers everything at its BEST of the BEST that can be humanly possibly done.
Always wanted to go to 'die zauberflöte' and finally went on the flirt XL evening! And then again last wednesday because I was so incredible impressed by this particular production by Simon Mcburney! Also each singer is flawless and the visual/sound effects just amazing! Can't wait for it to come back soon 😊
Technically it’s perfect. Emotionally I don’t believe it. I don’t feel it. She’s paying attention to every note and they are great. But she’s not desperate. Not feeling as if she’s just lost the love of her life.
The best of the old guard was Lucia Popp. But even she to my ears and to my eyes did not match the sheer musicality as Kathleen Battle from the Met 1991 performance. Sheesh. Kathleen, o Kathleen. For sheer vocal beauty and musicality, I will say Fang does emit in a live space. I saw her in a recital in a mid sized church and my heart was transfixed, broken, and put back together. I really haven't had a physical response as much as Fang to a single performance. And I've seen von Otter, Sarah Connolly, superb performers. And Fleming and Bonney too. Somehow the fresh talent of Fang and being surprised by how wonderful she is really knocked me for a loop.
This is nonsense. Fang trusts the music enough not to become overly sentimental. Mozart is NOT Puccini. If you want melodrama and unnecessary carrying on, go to LA BOHEME.
Also, in the opera, Pamina doesn't lose the love of her life. She just thinks she has. Which is why singing this aria in a melodramatic way makes no sense. Fang is smart.

We love Ying Fang ❤️
Wow….heavenly decent voice
I just got back from this show in the stopera. Brilliant. Also a great production for younger people!
So nice to hear! What was your favorite part of Die Zauberflöte? 😍
Top class
I was fortunate enough to see the live performance last week. An outstanding production.
Glad to hear you enjoyed!🤩
How is her voice live… sheesh
@@KingCorbinCosmos Her voice live is even better, if you can believe it. I sang Barbarina to her Susanna, and she amazed me day after day.
What potential this young lady has.

Браво!
This is definitely my favorite performance of this aria out there
Love Ms Fang's full warm dramatic melodic voice. Forward to see her sing in Beethoven's Fidelio in 2024 at Met Opera New York City.
Gorgeous!
Wow!!!
Какое воздействие этого голоса!,!,!, То ли больно, то ли прекрасно!, Чудо!,

Interesting that Asians like European music while for us Chinese opera is largely nothing but annoying noise.
