I got mine 25 years ago. Got a coats air changer 15 years ago and put the hand changer in the shed. Several times the coats has went down and old tried and true has got me through.
well, im taking my old tires from my side by side and putting them on my Honda foreman. ive never used one of these manual tire changers before, so will be interesting to see how easier it is to accomplish. i got a friend that runs a body shop and has an air changer and would do it for me, but i really wanted to do this myself and get some knowledge on using one, got to be as self proficient as possible these days.
Thank you for the video. I have had my Harbor Freight tire changer for almost 20 years. I have used it on 12" tires all the way up to 18" tires. It has worked very well for the $39.00 it cost 20 years ago. I did buy a center cone to replace the original hold down device because it would scratch the nice rims. You should get many years of use from it. I have changed and repaired flat tires equal to about 100 tires total.
Use lots of tire lube or soapy water and let it soak in for a minute or two seemed to help me a lot breaking the tire beads. The hold down spinner can easily damage painted rims and aluminum. Some folks use rags or pieces of rubber in between. I've used pvc pipe adapter reducer bushings as a spacer in the 1-1/4 to 2" range with much success. Good luck!

Yea, I think I will need the center cone.

Thanks, I plan on doing that.
Looking forward to see how you mount it!
