Curious as to why you switched from recommending David's Vacation Club Rentals in older YT videos to now recommending DVC Rental Store? I've looked at both and it seems they are very similar. Also seems there are lots of fans of both companies.
We used DVC rental store for our trip in December. It was great!! We got a Studio @ The Poly for $468 per night vs $680 per night through Disney! My only complaint was the wait for the DVC member to actually book our request. Although the site listed availability they explained they still needed to find a member willing to book the trip for us. It took 5 days 🥴 I was definitely nervous because this was the week of Xmas but it all worked out and I would recommend DVC rental store to anyone interested in renting DVC.
Amazing! You can’t beat those DVC rental prices 👌🏼✨ Waiting for an owner to book can be so hard 🤪 But nothing beats that feeling when you get that reservation number 😍🙌🏼
Our first family trip to Disney was in 2018, we stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, it was the trip of a lifetime! And we got hooked. As soon as we left we started thinking about when we could be back. I came across your channel and thanks to you learned all about DVC, which made future trips Disney, the way we like to travel (deluxe Disney resorts only) possible! We have since rented DVC points for a studio at the Grand Floridian (something we could never afford if not renting points) and then a 2 bedroom at Saratoga (those newly renovated rooms are gorgeous). Planning on staying at Boardwalk next, as soon as renovations there are complete. Thank you for being such a wealth of Disney knowledge and a great resource explaining the DVC rental points system!
Booking through a reputable 3rd party like DVC Rental Store provides so much security 🙌🏼 I’m not at risk in any way, nor do I have to vet the owner to confirm they are legitimate. It brings so much peace of mind.

Now I’m already looking at dates for later this year (even though I told myself we needed to take a break for a while, lol). Now Disney just needs to open AP sales again!! 🙏🙏

OMG, I am so happy I have found your channel. I have started planning a Disney trip for next year. It will be our first trip with a toddler 22months. Our first grandchild. We live in the uk and we try and go to Disney every 2 years myself and my husband. We have always stayed in Deluxe resort because of the ease of getting to the parks. I have a question I am looking into renting DVC points and am very nervous about this, as we want to stay in a deluxe but want a villa style stay. I have watched your DVC videos and at the beginning you used Dave's Vacation Club website but now use dvc rental store. Which do u think s best? I do wish Disney would update all the dvc villas to include the pull down Murphy bed vs the uncomfortable pull out couch. (OKW) Another perk of the deluxe is the extra magic hours for deluxe guests. Bonus😊
Maybe when it’s time for OKW to have another update (since the last one was recently in 2019), they’ll find a way to add in those murphy beds ☺️ And yes! No matter what room type, any guest staying at a deluxe resort gets extended evening hours 👌🏼
I already have an existing reservation 3 nights at Art of Animation and two at the Poly now I'm considering changing it, already submitted a request for the AOA half because it's only $319 to upgrade from a little mermaid room AOA to a standard view studio at Riviera. I am considering changing my Poly reservation to GF. Which room should I request to get the Mary Poppins theming?
@@BekahHart thank you, I didn't know if I had to make a special request to get a Mary Poppins theme room through DVC. I am taking my 9 year old daughter with me so she's really into the theming. We currently have a Moana themed room at Poly but I might switch to GF if we can get a Mary Poppins room.

Just curios why the switch? We are trying to figure out which company do go with for our first DVC rental experience.
DVC Rental Store offers a cancellation policy and payment plan, where other DVC rental companies do not. After trying out several different companies, Rental Store is simply the best in my opinion ☺️🙌🏼
What about when Disney offers a deal? I am concerned about renting DVC points then Disney coming out with a better deal like the 25% off they offered last month.
Actually a 1 bedroom ocean view at Aulani booked through Disney costs $5,500 for 4 nights next Spring. So you’re saving $1,500 by renting DVC points ☺️
Since you go so much, would you ever consider purchasing DVC? We bought back in 2018 and have loved every minute. Wish we bought sooner and have since added on a few times.
We’ve talked about it and priced it out many times ☺️ The short answer is that we don’t want to pay interest on a contract. So we are planning to wait until we’re in a place to pay cash 👌🏼 Until then, we’ll continue renting points ☺️
Hello! I just came across your video. I did have a question. How can you add park tickets and park hopper and dining plan to the reservation after you book and get the confirmation?
Park hopper can tickets are purchased exactly the same no matter where you stay ☺️ As for the dining plan, the owner of the DVC points would purchase on your behalf and add to the reservation. DVC Rental Store would be the middle man in all communication. They make it super easy ☺️🙌🏼
Also- What do you think about the pre-approved options?! We are super flexible about when we can go so I’ve been looking at the pre-approved trips. What do you think about that?

Once the reservation is confirmed, is it in your name meaning the points owner booked it in my name as opposed to their name and then it’s treated as a reservation in my name moving forward? We are currently waiting to hear back on a request I put in yesterday for Riviera in March. First timer here.
As a DVC direct owner, I know so many owners have a hard time of booking our home resort even at the 11 month window, we own at 4 resorts, and as an owner to see confirmed reservations being sold on these sites for a week when we can’t get in ourselves is disheartening. I know at Boardwalk we use to not have a problem but after Covid these resell sites blew up and it’s making it hard for us as owners.
It’s definitely become more difficult to book certain resorts after 2020 with so many people having banked their points. I would say most families rent out these last minute week long stays when they’re no longer able to go on their trip to avoid the 30 day cancellation penalty. But DVC rental sites are great for owners who aren’t able to use their points this year ☺️
Definitely the reasons you stated are why I did not rent DVC points on my last stay at Disney. I looked into renting points and was hesitant. I may reconsider now that you have more options.
We are looking at renting DVC points for November but many of the airlines do not have their flights available that far out. Any tips on what to look for schedule wise from the airlines? We prefer nonstop flights (2 toddlers) which are typically available many times during the week, I just worry I’ll pick the 1 day they don’t have a nonstop flight.
We prefer nonstop flights as well 🙌🏼 We can always count on Southwest having a direct flight to MCO whatever days we decide to travel. But obviously that will vary depending on your departing city. But for the most part, we’ve seen Southwest with the best nonstop options ☺️
I’ve rented DVC points a couple times and it can definitely be stressful trying to find something with availability and an owner with enough points. It’s worth it when you can get it though!
Yes! And the thing I love about DVC rental store is that they allow you to see availability before submitting your request 🙌🏼 So it eliminates that back and forth.
