14:30 - I agree! As a Ferrari fan, I absolutely do not understand the hate Max Verstappen gets? I find him incredibly entertaining and an excellent talent! I am certainly not rooting for him to fail. I have enjoyed the multiple race winners from this season, because it makes racing more interesting, but I am not actively hoping for a “humbling!”

Sadly drive to survive ect, has brought in fans that are toxic and don't really understand f1, and of course they go to either Lewis and Mercedes or Max and Red Bull.

As a ferrari and leclerc fan i think max should get this title...he deserves it not lando...even if lando would be different and more fun ,i want a champion to be deserved,lando isnt even in my top 3 this season
It's not even a DNF for Lando to end the title fight. Just a P3 while Max gets a P4 makes it impossible (barring engine failures) for Lando to get close to Max
Are you assuming the rest of the results are Max P2, Norris P1. Because Max finishing P2 each race will be really hard with Oscar, Ferrari and Mercedes.

@@viniciusbraga9881 It all depends on how the cars are after the break. If McLaren is top, he should win every race with Oscars help. But even if Ferrari is close for example, and leclerc takes two wins. That puts Max down in p5 every race, so Lando still wins. Then you might even have Mercedes up there as well, making it even harder for Max. Anything could still happen.

McLaren should have the better car for the remaining races, but given Lando's record of not winning enough races, Max has this one in the bag.
Not to mention that Oscar and Charles ( specially Charles ) will threat Lando as well and to be honest, I'm expecting these 3 to split the remaining wins between them, instead of just one winning the majority of races.

The battle between Piastri and LeClerc is more interesting especially because it has been reflected in battles and excellent passes on track
I'm a huge Leclerc fan but let's be very realistic here. The McLaren is significantly faster in general. We've been through 3 tracks in the last 3 races that the Ferrari loves and we'll be going into a few more difficult tracks for them. Piastri is a great driver and will very very likely finish ahead of Charles. But I don't think Charles position as the golden boy will change. A man that can deal with the pressure of monza, in a second fastest car, with a McLaren chasing him down, nursing the tyres to the end, is forever going to be a ferrari golden boy for as long as he drives for them.
The clash of cultures between CultLH and the Sharlfosi shall provide great entertainment in 2025... me thinks, the absurd sabotage allegations Mercedes had to deal with lately will be nothing in comparison, Ferrari won't know what hit them. ;)

I don’t think Lando is going to do it. He’s barely made progress in closing the points gap after a number of races. He’s not doing it in the last few.
since norris first win in miami he has now closed in by 1 point after 12 races
I don't feel as invested in Lando vs Max because even though McLaren clearly have the best car and have done for a while now, it still feels like the title is Verstappen's to lose because of that gap he built earlier in the season. It's 2009 all over again (Although in 2009 I was rooting for Button and Brawn because it was a fantastic underdog story and I'm a JB fan). If Max has another DNF and Lando takes maximum points from that DNF however... Then I might get a little more invested!
For me, I think I'm actually more interested in the Constructors championship which is a rarity! I'm also more interested in how Franco Colapinto does for the rest of the season and also how Liam Lawson gets on now that my boy Danny Ric has been kicked to the curb.
If max loses the title it will be unfair...just because he destroyed lando and everyone with the best car and even when he didnt had the best like spain or imola or canada...lando choked 4 wins

I wouldn’t say Checo has been ‘absolved’ of responsibility for his poor results.
Yes, RB have acknowledged that they undervalued his feedback with respect to the development of their aero philosophy, but Max was still able to outpace both Perez and the competition with the RB19.
Sergio’s inability to come to terms with either the 2023 or 2024 Red Bull still reflects his inability to adapt to a chassis that is not optimized for him.
That remains a shortcoming of his and he hasn’t been absolved of that.
If anything, RB’s mea culpa instead validated Checo’s criticisms of the RB19 and RB20 development trajectory, but not his failure to make the most of the car.
Yeah it drives me insane that anyone would make these excuses year after year of underperforming. In any other team or sport he would have been kicked out mid season long ago

I don't know how they do it, but the most busy season feels like it's barely happening, with long breaks like these.
Everybody’s talking about surviving the F1 autumn break, I’m just glad I survived the LawVS break.
Anyone else remember that last year we had a four way fight for P4 come Abu Dhabi, and they ended up being separated by only 7 pts, with Charles and nando even tying on pts
I feel like it'd be a much easier job for piastri to finish ahead of leclerc compared to Charles keeping that third place. That Mclaren is just so much faster. But i dont think a p4 finish for leclerc would affect the hamilton situation at all just makes no sense. If leclerc however finishes above Oscar, thatd be a very strong statement from his side considering he had the 4th fastest car for more than a few races.

Bringing someone in their rookie season as Max's teammate? The amount of eyes it would bring would be enormous and the scrutiny as well.
One thing that this season lacks tbh is any sort of actual substance like literally look at previous title fights and this years , there’s literally no real excitement for any title fight to happen everyone is either way to delusional or just joking , verstappen and norris are not in any sort of title fight, because this title fight just lacks any sort of character, there’s no singnature mark , neither verstappen nor norris seem to have a certain grudge (though lately norris has started to stick his elbow out a little bit) but yeah this “rivalry” just lack that punch of excitement that verstappen vs Hamilton , vettel vs Hamilton or like Alonso vs vettel and Schumacher vs alonso could give

This season has been pretty good so far, but there's no fight for the title
Honestly, I just think Max and Lando aren't close enough in skill for me to consider it an actual fight. Lando is good, I think that much is obvious, but he isn't on Max's level yet. And, as you mentioned, there's no real narrative behind this rivalry, it just kinda happened because Redbull is falling apart and McLaren has a huge team advantage with the car and the less messy work environment. The Oscar/Charles and Oscar/Lando rivalries seem much more interesting. In the first case there's the whole fun narrative behind them being "family", Oscar gaining Charle's respect as a driver already during his second season in F1 and it's interesting to see what a great experienced driver like Charles can do against Oscar in a less than ideal car. And with Oscar and Lando, not only is there the friendly teammates turned rivals narrative, but also the drivers are more evenly matched in terms of skill. Lando is still better for now in my opinion, but he's closer to Oscar's level than to Max's, so it actually feels like a rivalry. The Max and Lando rivalry feels forced and one sided, while the others seem far more organic. It feels more like Max fighting his own team while Lando is trying to prove to himself he can beat Max. It doesn't compel me like previous title fights have.

If I was Red Bull I'd sign Lawson next to Verstappen and Colapinto next to Tsunoda for 2025.

No. I like Liam but he's not that fast. Pirelli just had a tire test and his best lap was about 2 seconds off Charles' pace, 1.4 seconds off Carlos'. And most of the time, Checo and Carlos have nearly the same pace. We don't know their run plan though, but after 70+ or 100+ laps, there must be a glory run or two in there.
Lando needs a Max DNF or else i dont see Max droppin' WDC doesn't matter what Lando does.
McLaren costed themselves WDC with some atrocious team calls and honestly its too late now even with RBR has completely turned into Alpine Tractor 🚜

Max vs Lando is over. Singapore has been Red Bull's worst track & Lando needed to cut 20 points off Max's lead. Also, I think the Bulls have written off the Constructor's title & will favour Max with the next (last?) upgrades in order to guarantee that Max holds onto the WDC
Lando winning the championship will never happen. Is Verstappen in a slower car? Yes. Is he more consistent than Norris. Yes. And thats what the key will be. Just staying not too far off Norris and him having his mandatory horror show of a weekend is enough.
The things I'd do to see a George Russell vs Max Verstappen title fight, would be like 2021 AND SOME.

Unless Lando wins almost every point available for the rest of the year (he won't) and Max has a few weekends where he simply can't finish on the podium, Lando will not with the championship.

As I have no faith that Max v Lando will amount to any thing I don’t care about that fight in the slightest. And I don’t have much investment in a title fight that doesn’t have a a driver I care about. I will always pay more attention to the drivers I like over the championship contenders even if they are fighting for 19.

Red Bull has problems. Talent leaving the ark in droves is usually a sign that leadership is not good. They are missing the direction and decisions from the founder. They need a new TP - I vote GP.
I don't understand all the criticism of Horner. Is he the greatest team boss ever? No. But he has been in the job a very long time and the team has done very well under his leadership. Yes the team has problems right now but it was people outside of Red Bull Racing who were making all the noise and causing the problems. Jos is not part of the team and has never been a team boss, yet he seems to think he knows better than the guy who has been doing it for 20 years. Marko is not part of Red Bull Racing either. He is a special advisor supposedly there to develop junior drivers. Yes, Max is still reasonably young but he sure isn't a junior any more. Where Horner has failed is in asserting his authority. He has let Marko act like a team boss for 15 years or more and he probably needed to make it clear to Jos that they only signed Max to be part of the team and that Jos was only ever there as a guest.
@@JMRope since Dietrich's passing, Horner has not made great decisions. I'm not sure why that is. I'm not sure of the detail and order of events here but... One of the poorer ones was sexting his female employee. Then the next was firing her. Now tell me how many CEO's stay on after this sort of behaviour. If it happened.
The DR debacle is another. Bringing in a driver who did not perform, then persevering with the questionable decision when the reported data was clear that DR could not drive the new generation cars to the level needed.
There is a lot going on at RB, and the book, when it comes out, will make a good read.
Also to be fair, the person at Red Bull HQ who supports the team, is handling all sorts of sports.
Something is not right at RB and all things seem to point to leadership not being able to manage this thing without the support, and decision making from the the former owner. So why is that?
Basically what we know is since the management change things have gone downhill.
Hopefully he can turn it around. Or 2025 will be a continuance of the slump.

I'll admit I have not paid close attention to the issue so I may not be fully across it but my understanding is that it was Red Bull the global company that requested it, not Red Bull Racing. Red Bull is a massive company who got where they are not by having a fantastic product but by running a brilliant marketing campaign. The marketing of Red Bull is second to none. I don't believe a company that works that hard on their public image would try to cover up bad publicity such as this and I don't believe they would stand by Horner if they did not believe he was innocent.
I'm not defending Horner. I don't think he is the primary reason for their success over the last 15 years. And I agree that he is too forgiving of drivers. It appears he doesn't want to fire any of them. But personally I think Marko is causing more problems for the team than Horner is. And Jos is even worse because he has nothing at all to do with the team. How many other family members of drivers try to pretend they are part of the team management?
Maybe it is time for Horner to move on. He has been there a very long time. But I think they also need to push Marko out, or at least contain him to driver development as is his role and they need to make surez that Jos is only there supporting his son without trying to run the team.
I mean honestly and no offense but what is more interesting or important than the championship battle, right? Its like that in any sport. So to say Max vs Lando isnt interesting is a strange thing to say. Especially when the championship hasnt been close at all for the last 3 years.

Colapinto is so overrated! Albon does all set up testing, data gathering, decides braking points, tyre prep…everything…. Colapinto can’t do any of it. He only uses all Albons info and gets FULLY COACHED through all sessions on where Albon uses what gear, where he brakes, what line he drives, how he preps his tyres…everything. Colapinto gives zero feedback cos he simply doesn’t know how the car must feel.
And Albon KNOWS Williams can’t have more damage costs so he doesn’t take any real risks ON PURPOSE while Colapinto doesn’t care and crashes his car in FP…he pushes too much…
Albon knows how important the cost cap is for development. Colapinto does not care 1 bit….

And i dont care that much for making space for Lawson, he got a seat now in Red Bull Visa now. i Rather see if Lawson can keep up with Tsunoda in the long term.
There is to much focus on "rookies" and i dont like the Jr Academy´s every big team has. And i dont like that there is JR team´s in F1, that´s only a "Team Blocker" that Red Bull use to make sure there is one less team to compete against. What has to be fixed properly is F2, F2 needs to be like F1, but with a limit on budget and limit on Engine horsepower. To make sure F2 is really a junior series to F1 to prepare the rookies for longer times. and make them drive in F2 for more than 2-3 years. and Ferrari, RedBull, Merc, Audi and all those big ones can have Jr teams in F2.
Even they could be using a 2-3 year old F1 car, but with a different engine with less horsepower. that´s one way to do it also.
This is imo a thing that has to be done, today F2 is just another openwheel series. that dont prepare the drivers for F1 in different ways. F2 today is horrible.
Also, doing this, we could also make room for at least 1 more new team and remove Red Bull Visa Cash App down to F2.
cuz i dont want to allow more teams in to F1, more teams lowers the value of F1, F1 still suppose to have status of being best of the best of the best, then you cannot add in more teams like it was Indycar or NASCAR. it has to be value and status in every level of F1.

Lando has worse racecraft than maldonardo…. Piastri might not be pacey but that can be developed with time in F1 but is insane wheel-to-wheel, like INSANELY GOOD!

A few bad decisions and a couple bad races and immediately he's the worst driver around?
No I’m a Piastri and alonso fan but landos race craft is incredible
His pace is really strong, his tyre management is incredible and his overtaking is really solid. He has all the attributes to be a champion but the thing I believe that holds him back is his mind, I think he puts too much pressure on himself, where like with max he is ruthless and just gets on with it.
Oscar is the better fighter, Lando is faster
But none of them are ready to win a title right now
Lando has made bad calls or let his emotions get the better of him at Austria, Silverstone, Hungary and Monza. When everything is in the sweet spot, Lando drives brilliantly. If under pressure, Lando makes mistakes. How many times has Lando lost his P1 pole at the start of the race? Lando regularly goes backwards on Lap 1. Almost 90% of Lando’s overtakes involved DRS.
Now compare what I said above about Lando to Oscar and they are complete opposite. Yes, Oscar has better race craft and even Max has pick up on this. Max has raced against Lando long enough, in evenly matched cars, Max believes he can beat Lando 90% of the time. With Oscar, Max has hinted that it could be a different story due to Oscar’s race craft.
Looking forward to Hamilton in a Ferrari.

Yeah anyone that replaces Ricciardo is bad and to be hated. The fact DR couldn't drive these cars and just couldn[t figure them out is Liam's fault. He should have coached DR more to help him understand how to drive. The whole world is with you. Let's all hate Horner and Red Bull as well, and heck we may as well throw in F1 and Liberty Media. Personally i think cheer on the young guys coming in. Collapinto, Bearman, Antonelli and Lawson, also lets hope for Bortoleto. Also Mahoney, Aron, and Drugovich.

We need make sure mr lewis hamilton isnt in prison next year. Idk what you guys have heard if anything. But they have lewis tied to a very bad dude over here who might take him down for good. Hopefully hes not involved but theres lots of pictures and who knows if theres videos. Hes defintiyly a person of interest to the feds right now.
