There is no concrete mention of CJ outside of San Andreas but at the end of San Andreas, CJ had:
1. Millions of dollars in his pocket
2. A car garage in San Fierro
3. One third ownership of a Casino in Las Venturas
4. Ownership of several residential and commercial properties
5. Manager of Madd Dogg's rap career who was one of the most popular artists in Los Santos
6. Connection to a powerful Government Agent, Mike Toreno
I think CJ is just fine and went legit sometime after the events of the game.
Yeah like I get most of rockstars themes consist a lot of not happy endings but realistically when you look at everything that CJ’s got at the end, it wouldn’t make any sense for him to just end up dead with all the connections he has. Even toward the end of SA. When he’s talking to Sweet and trying to show him all that he’s achieved, sweet so focused on the set, Kendall was the one really letting Carl know there’s more to him than being grove street

I think all those theories can be disproved easily. for number 1 The Professionals already covered why Salvatore didnt send Tony to kill him. And for 2 and 3 the 3D and HD universe are completely separate. CJ probably is alive and just in Las Venturus with Woozie because of their Casino business and dropping by Grove Street from time to time or touring around with Mad Dog with him being involved in the record business as well.
I’ll watch his video but just because the professional says something doesn’t make it true or law lol he was wrong about who killed cjs mom when mentioning the Ballas and just because the universes are separate doesn’t mean the story isn’t the same they literally contradict themselves by putting Og Loc, Cj and The truth in gta 5’s story .. literally placed them in the story .. however I do believe he would’ve been closely connected to Woozie after all this time and working with him clearing whatever troubles came along the way 💯

But you can say that certain events of the 3D Universe occurred in the HD Universe with certain elements being changed due to characters not existing or in the HD Universe. With some exceptions like Madd Dogg, OG Loc, Donald Love, and so on. Only difference being their stories being different to what we know of their 3D universe counterparts like Madd Dogg retiring prior to GTA 3 but in GTA 5 he's still active in the rap game

Toreno wouldn't have killed CJ. Him and Norton are the only 3 letter agents in gta that actually honor their end of the deal by not letting anyone screw with the main character post game. If toreno was going to kill CJ, he wouldn't have springed sweet out of jail and told Carl he was out of his life forever.
Personally I do not think The mob or Tommy had enough power to kill Cj. We forget cj has taken on the LSPD+Noose, Army, the Navy, the Airforce, the government, two rival gangs. And not to mention he’s Allies with the Varrios and the Triads. No way the can touch him sorry.

The best way to describe post gta SA is "Everyone besides sweet moved on with their lives becoming sucessful, sweet died in a drive by 2 years after SA as the only idiot to stay in the hood after being given a chance to leave"
CJ was speaking the truth in mission 100, he left grove when he was needed the most. So he fixed every problem he indirectly/directly caused and secured a better life for everyone he cared about. Kendell/caesar are operating the garage, woozie/cj are operating the casino, cj/madd dogg and cj/the brits are going on tours, CJ ended the corruption in CRASH ruining lives, and ended the drug empire that ruined not only grove street, but every "hood" in san andreas. Topping it all off, post gane Toreno is making sure no one messes with cj after the heavy lifting he did being one/two 3 letter agents in gta to actually honor their end of the deal. CJ offered everyone a chance to move on to have a healthy life, and everyone took it besides sweet. After the actual leaders left the hood, weaker leaders like sweet, stretch, etc filled the power vaccum which lead to the shitty hood seen in V.
I agree. After the raid on Big Smoke's drug factory, a lot of gang members died, including a lot of the GSF and associates. This created a power vacuum with all gangs and even worse for Grove Street since they are already severely weakened before CJ's return and it all probably blew up after Tenpenny's death since despite the drug problems he was causing, he was the one keeping all the gangs on a leash. CJ, Kendal, Cesar and the rest probably knew what was coming and decided it's not worth it to stay. So it's either Sweet finally swallows his pride and leaves or stays put and dies for a lost cause.
@@dekoldrick Sweet deep down knew he was fighting a losing battle I don't know why he wanted to stay in the hood too badly right when CJ came back and started to put in work eventually Tenpenny knowing it which is what lead to him getting arrestee and CJ getting set off to the country side to disrupt the two from function they should've done something else first to take out crash.
I know I’m super late but omg I’m glad somebody finally said it! I’ve read fanfics (yes I’m that person sometimes lol) about sweet dying because he wouldn’t leave the hood. CJ made a way for everyone to leave but sweet just wouldn’t do it.
Plus looking back Sweet is also why GSF became a failing gang. He lost control, somehow managed to completely be unaware of a drug empire being built right under his nose by his own childhood best friend, then tried to act like a leader when CJ was the one that built GSF back up as much as possible. Toni killed a rival Mafia Made Man, not a Gangster, and even if Salvatore wanted to send killas, it really wouldn't be easy to kill CJ, since it is implied that in 1994, CJ would've probably taken over San Andreas, and their GSF's allies are shown to be very powerful, and there was also the GSF Gangsters all around the place

Rockstar games are geniuses, and sometimes foolish.
The lore behind GTA San Andreas alone is enough for them to make ANOTHER game which takes place years after the events of GTA:SA.
This game would answer ALL of the questions fans have had, while expanding on the GTA San Andreas universe.
I don't think Rockstar would wanna pay what the actors would probably want to reprise their roles. And Maylay wasn't happy with how his pay was handled for SA so idk if he'd come back.
Sadly, it’s never going to happen. I think people are more likely to accept that CJ died some time after San Andreas or just walked away from the criminal world when it got too much.

My head canon is that CJ told Sweet to go eat shit with the whole hood thing and moved on and Sweet again was his usual shitty leader so grove again lost power and sweet died. You can see some things in hd gta that gives implications that CJ became a businessman.

By the end of sanadreas Grove Street owned every territory , well at least you have the option to. Even if you don't take them all over you still have to take over alot to find big smokes location. Apperanlty the 3d and HD universes are not the same , they don't go together. However I would like to think they could be in the same universe, but apperanlty not. I honestly don't think cj died , unless of natural causes , health issues or something. I mean he survived so much in sanadreas lol if that didn't take him down what could ? Just my opinion

My opinion after "CJ" killed "Tenpenny" i believe "CJ" became a celebrity. I believe he moved in "Mad Dog's Mansion" & started his business adventures. Hes keeping an eye on his San Ferriero, Las Ventura investments. His Bone Yard Air Strip, His dealings commercial advertisements living the remainder of his life off the grid. He didnt die, return back to Liberty City nor return to gang bangin'. He again became a local celebrity.

Nah he stayed in the hood but manages to balance out his other tasks with Woozie and Kendl. He realized by games end how important the hood was to CJ. He got what Sweet said. CJ had been running away from his problems for so long, that he forgot how close to the Grove he was. Especially with San fierro.
He probably legally change his name to start a fresh life and forget all about his past. Sweet has living a grove life and he probably killed off during before gta 5. He might've died from a gang war. Kendl and cesar decides to move to mexico and start a life there. The triads has now making money and start a new casino called the diamond casino and resort.

CJ could have probably settled down in Las Venturas or San Fierro, since there isn't much keeping CJ in Los Santos other than Sweet.
Maybe we'll know for certain if another GTA game takes place in San Fierro or Las Venturas in the future.
With GTA 6 we might know more about what happened to Tommy Vercetti.
And Maybe GTA 7 could be in San Fierro or Las Venturas.
Years after I beat GTA San Andreas, one of the character epilogues/fan fictions I wrote during my layoff due to the lockdown was for CJ. I wrote that after everything was finished with the gangs, government, and corrupt cops, there was nothing left keeping Carl in his old city. He visits his younger brother's grave then gets back on a plane for Pennsylvania-clear across the state as as from from his old life as he can get-where he gets a job as a long haul trucker, dying of a brain aneurysm at 70.

One thing I will never get:
we have 2D and 3D and HD. According to Rockstar themselves, these universes are not directly connected, meaning they are not the same. You can see for yourself how the HD version of the map of Los Santos or Liberty City differ from the 3D.
One of the missions of the contract DLC of GTA online where Franklin made a return, involves Franklin and Lamar burning weeds, during the mission Franklin says “hey this is like that shit that went down over in Flint County back in the day”. This is an obvious reference to the “are you going to San Fierro” mission in GTA SA where CJ and Truth burn fields of weed before going to San Fierro. This reference implies that the universes are connected. So Rockstar kind of contradicted themselves.
My theory is that whatever happened in the 3D universe is irrelevant in the HD universe, the universes are connected but not directly linked. Meaning that the events of the 3D universe have also probably happened in the HD but maybe not in the same way we saw in 3D world. Maybe in the HD universe CJ never went back to Los Santos after meeting new friends as opposed to what we saw in the 3D world, maybe CJ went ahead to become a businessman instead of a gangster
They basically hinted it in the game, CJ became a success in the early 90s after the events of SA and is living a quiet life somewhere in the suburbs.
Toreno doesn't care about CJ or anyone, he could put CJ in jail if he wants to at anytime so maybe he is in prison.
my guess is cj is still out there, living rich and going on tours with mad dogg, maybe living in san fierro. cesar says this thing later in the game “i like this city, it has something gentle about it” and then cj says “kendl seems to like it too” so maybe its possible they moved there one day. venturas wouldnt be too smart with salvatore after him, as for sweet i dont think he was so lucky. for grove street to be taken over like that hes either dead or doing life
I didn’t like the fact that Ryder was written out of the game randomly. I always wanted to save him or at least play as him. Even if that meant killing CJ. Ryder was more charismatic, gangsta, funny, etc more than CJ. He deserved better.

Ryder's VA left rockstar which led rockstar to make Ryder betray CJ and they had to use the remaining voice lines for CJ but I think it was better that Ryder dies instead of betraying CJ.

He put the Grove back in control of things, however he wanted no more part in that lifestyle. I can see him moving on with the casino and Madd Dog's managerial positions and left Sweet to handle things. However Sweet wasn't competent enough to keep the Grove on top and it resulted in either him joining CJ in leaving it behind or his death.

They said they weren’t the same universe that some things may not connect but that doesn’t mean that the story doesn’t run in the same direction for the most part it just means that some things could’ve happened differently or not at all

The whole Rockstar universe thing works like events happened(that is why they are mentioned in hd games sometimes) but everything else is reset. Its a soft reboot. Fast and furious did it with its movies when it turned into an action franchise. Mi movies did it three times with MI , MI2 and then Mi3. James Bond did it with its 80s movies. Its just easier way to write a story because then you don't have to follow the lore of the original world and you don't have to redo everything.
The game should have ended wirh CJ paying respects to his mother's grave at the cemetery.

Never realized what a complete sack of crap Salvatore is until rewatching The Introduction and getting that post-heist phone call. Anyway, he's not some petty street criminal, and Salvatore wouldn't get close enough after that. Upon losing such an investment, Sal likely went back home soon after. The government wouldn't touch him if realistically, you use the fullface helmet from ProLaps for Black Project and Green Goo. Traditionally, it's what I do. I dress CJ in the helmet, his signature clothes, and change my tattoos afterwards for a touch of realism. Canonically, CJ should be wearing something over his face. I think he's alive and well, all things considered regarding the canons. And if any protagonist should come back for a Johnny treatment, it's Trevor.

i think cj would have left los santos and moved to either las venturas or san ferriro being cj wasn't a very good gang member he only did it to help his brother and pay back any resentments his family held against him i see him giving the manger role of maddog to ken rosenburg or kent paul after a year or two and his garage business to cesar and jethero and probably living his best life in las venturas with Woozi under triad and torneo protection with whatever canon gf the player chose if torneo was true to his word in protecting him and sweet probably died in a gang war at some point before or during 1998 my best guess due to his poor gang leadership and cj not being around to keep him in check and i see Cesar and Kendall having a family at some point after gta sa and probably if you want to take the hd easter eggs into account he did modeling for clothing and toothpaste to keep the casino looking legit as possible and advertising purposes
I always thought it is terrific creating custom made female protagonists even if she is a tall athletic muscle woman wearing a short cute girly dress, short girly socks, and Mary Jane shoes as an example. There also should be various first female names from A to Z you give you female protagonist such as Alexandra as my example.
