Trust me, if chicks don't hit on you then a guy isn't going to hit on you. They literally have higher standards and your market value is NOT that high. Also why would you hit on someone you know you have absolutely 0 chance of ever hooking up with? That makes no sense." Also low-key I take it as one of the highest compliments a person can receive when I get hit on by a guy. I went to the popular gay bar in the area a couple years back with my gf at the time and it was the BEST experience at a bar I've ever had. I had drinks bought for me, everyone was SUPER nice to me, everyone was super respectful of the fact I was straight, and it was just a lot of fun. The funniest thing that happened was my ex's best friend brought her boyfriend, who was a little homophobic. Someone grabbed his ass and he thought they took his wallet. Since his hands were full, he was carrying drinks back to our area, he asked if I could check and make sure he still had his wallet. My hands were also full carrying mine and my gf's drink, so I was trying to rearrange how I was holding the drinks to free a hand. Then this dude walked back and grabbed both of our asses at the same time and said "I got you! Both of your wallets are safe." I busted out laughing. Homie looked shocked/ angry but then saw me laughing and realized not only was it funny, but that it was ridiculous to get mad that he got his ass grabbed in a gay hookup bar and started laughing as well.

The irony is that in lay man terms it means "working-class" and Hassan tries to use it to defend the working class, but by indulging in the privalidge of a higher level education to know what that word means inherently places you in the middle and/or upper-class. Which was why Ludwig did the pinky sip. Which is a subtle middle finger to the bourgeoisie (upper-class), that would often be used at fancy parties. Which again is ironic because in order to be invited to any of these fancy parties you had to be part of the bourgeoisie society in the first place.

I am so glad that Hasan and Ludwig are both people that young men look up to. I honestly wish there were guys in media like this when I was a kid. It displays you can be masculine while still having empathy and caring for others. Ludwig has incredible communication skills. Him saying to Hasan "I'll listen" when Hasan wasn't feeling heard shows an incredible level of emotional intelligence and honesty while also being a funny guy. Same with Hasan. Hasan comes across as someone who has some anger issues, but otherwise is a very positive showcase of masculinity. Not to leave Austin out of this, however he isn't nearly as big as these two.
Just to clarify about pineapples, the irritation in your mouth is from the BROMELAIN breaking down the inner lining of protective mucous in your mouth. eating too much too fast, causes the buildup and eventually pain. you can avoid this for a longer period of time if you heat the pineapple before consumption which breaks down the bromelain. OR you can have creamy dairy products like yogurt or ice cream. milk is NOT recommended since the pineapple can actually curdle the milk.
my entire throat gets scratchy if i eat too many pineapples, but i love them so i’ve learned to eat just the right amount before my throat gets scratchy

Though there are probably a lot of reasons, women often put up a guard before they find out a guy is gay because they are afraid of "sending the wrong signals". It is highly likely at some point they have been nice to a guy who took it as they were into him and then accused them of "leading him on". If not them, then it happened to their friend. When girls find out Austin is gay they don't have to worry about that.
I will go to people’s houses just to watch whatever. Being in the presence of someone is the hanging out. I love just existing in a space with my loved ones without needing to talk and just putting something on the tv helps
WE LOVE straight masculine men that are supportive friends. To many queer people seeing a straight masc person is like an instant fear or anxiety reaction. But guys like Ludwig and Hasan actually make me feel safer
Hasan’s platonic Netflix and chill take is 100% what my besties and I do. It’s the most comfy thing to sit with a bestie and veg on the couch watching something good/maybe a little trashy. With some cocktails and takeout? 👌🏽
@@gypsymoon710 I think it's because the whole netflix & chill thing. It's a common trope to invite someone you're romantically involved with to come over and watch a movie and have that often lead to physical stuff. So for folks like Austin, he associates intimacy with that act. It's no surprise that Hasan enjoys watching movies and TV with friends since he clearly enjoys reacting to content with his chatters on his stream. Seems like a natural extension of that.
Well whatever, having a friend give you a blow j isn’t gay, especially if you’re straight. Maybe if they were gay it would be but getting a straight blowie isn’t the same as a gay blowie. Frickin jerks.
I think it's like the stepbro meme, like the idea of easily available comfort and quality time. But it comes off as desperate, unless it's about sports or packaged in a sleepover. "Incel takes" lol
He's in a space where he never has to worry about people holding him accountable for his stupidity. Anyone would be happier in such a space. Doesn't mean it's good for them.
What Hasan said at 1:19:08 is spot fucking on in my case, I got deeper radicalized into the right by the means of watching Ben Shapiro through PewDiePie constantly mentioning him and the Meme Review stuff. I started watching Hasan and became a leftist through seeing him through Among Us videos while watching Ludwig. What he is saying is accurate especially so for young impressionable audiences like myself when Ben Shapiro Meme Review was popping off
I mean to be fair it's still all perspective to what you view as right and wrong in the political spear. Alot are deeply radicalized my a bunch of political figures.
@@cngotham4111 Hasan is a left wing radical by contemporary standards. His equivalent on the right would be someone like an alt-righter. One is clearly infinitely worse than the other. Being a "centrist" isn't a virtue. Radicalization is only a bad thing when it is towards right wing social ideas, economic ideas, or authoritarian views. One side is radicalized on ideas of social, economic, and racial equality, while the other side is towards no social programs, classism, and white supremacy. The sides are not equivalent, and pretending they are is only helping people on the far right.
I’m 22 and I agree with Hasan on the ishowspeed thing, I kinda think it’s a little fucked that that the majority of his audience is definitely children and he knows that a lot of kids watch him. It’s a little weird and definitely different from someone who’s audience is a lot older, but he’s also underage as well and definitely doesn’t get why it may not the best thing
Mehh but he built the audience by being this crazy over the top type of guy. It's not really up to him that he ended up having a child audience. Besides most of his audience knows what sex is to some degree and already make silly dumb jokes. I think alot of people are forgetting how kids acted in middle school and what not.
Yeah I'm definitely a bit on the worried side too. However when I was 12 I already watched porn and just straight up violence and gore (internet pre 2010 stuff) and it didn't really affect me negatively. It's why I disagree with a lot of censoring anyway but that's a giant topic. His community seemed to like it so all good then I guess. It's not something I would have done, that's all.
For the Tommy thing, I think it sucks more that most of tommys fans are kids. Like it would still be unfair if it was a room full of adults, but most of his fans are 11-17 years old. My 12 year old sister what there with my mom. I think it’s not ok and makes it even worse when a fully grown man comes in and makes a group of kids feel uncomfortable and upset when they should be able to be excited and happy to meet their fave TH-camr. Idk maybe I’m biased.
Yeah, I don’t watch mcyt but it’s weird for someone my age, like 22, to ask a bunch of underage kids about their recently turned 18 content creator’s “laying wood” and screaming at the top of his lungs for 45 minutes. Like come on dude
its like going to a movie theatre showing of a film made for 13 year old girls as a 35 year old man and pointing at the screen and clapping when a character you like is on screen
im so late to the conversation, but as a black "nerdy" person who grew up consuming content that was not inherently "meant" for me its comforting to see people like me in these spaces and communities providing a home. Speaking from a black person's perspective, culturally you get made fun of for primarily consuming things like twitch, TH-cam, Minecraft, anime, comics etc. and then its like okay well I'll go to these communities where we have this in common yet your still an outsider because there will always be that barrier. which I think is why people like I show speed or Kai Cenat or Bruce have such a large following, because they appeal to and provide a home for all sides and versions of the internet. Whether that be black or white or call of duty or even Minecraft. 42:17
Anime has gotten pretty popular within the black community, especially amongst millennials and younger. I know I'm white so it seems like I don't have any room to make that comment. But I lived in the hood as much as I lived in the suburbs. I lived in the hood when I was really young then spent middle school to high school living in low income housing in the suburbs. Then when I was 18 I got a job in a pretty rough area, but I didn't have a car so I got an apartment a mile away from my job. I worked in food for 10 years and for most of that time I worked near where I lived, which were predominantly black neighborhoods because rent was cheap. Plus I did a lot of drugs at the time and was driving on a suspended license for most of that time, so I liked that the cops had better things to do than harass/ pull me over for no reason. In a lot of the places I worked and lived from 18-28, I was one of the only white dudes, and most of the black dudes my age or younger were into anime. Then when I moved over to warehouse work, started making more money, and moved to a better area I had almost no one to talk to about anime. I will also say, living in the areas I lived really opened my eyes to the privilege I have as a white person. I was never racist, but i come from a very poor family that's also conservative, so I really bought into the "there's no modern white privilege" rhetoric. Because being poor in predominantly middle to upper-middle class suburbs where the population isn't that big, we got singled and harassed by the cops a lot. Then when I was one of the only white people in my neighborhood I really got to see it. I got treated better almost anywhere I went. The cops never bothered with me even when my tags were hella expired but I would see people get pulled over for DWB all the time. Talking to my neighbors and coworkers I got to see how different my harassment of law enforcement in the suburbs was to their harassment. I got promoted quicker at my jobs, even though there were employees that I had been working for those positions WAY longer than I had even been working there. I would see people just as qualified or with more and better experience get turned down for jobs it was super easy for me to get. I finally fully understood what white privilege was. Even in these areas where I was the minority, I still had a leg up because I was white. I got treated better, had an easier time, faced less obstacles, and even had an easier time finding places to live because I was white. I would have apartments let me constantly be late on rent and rarely ever charge me late fees, but literally try to evict black families for barely being late a couple of times. It definitely pushed me further to the left and helped with my radicalization as a leftist.
the flow of this podcast is so satisfying to watch, and there’s literally never a dull moment and it’s so entertaining to watch I love it sm. u guys are my 3 fav male content creators so this vid is just muah gold for me 🤌🤍
One of the best podcast I’ve seen is n a long time. That serious note they took when Lud asked about hasan’s possible future fall-off was a W segment. Lite take, serious take, lite take, serious take… is a great format!!!
aw when Austin asked to cut the part about Ludwigs dad was so sweet and real for a short second that was so sweet I love when you get short glimpses of their real personalities aside from their streaming personalities. also completely agree about irl stream or filming in public. do it as long as its not bothering strangers in that public space. cause then you're just a nuisance and its unnecessary and invasive.
10:52 Austin is one of those people who is so endearing that even when he does go too far, I don’t care and love him more. I have a friend like that. Some people just get a pass; I can’t explain why.
If we were speaking about a manservant in an old English novel, we’d use VA-let. But if we were referring to “valet parking” at a restaurant or “valet service” at a hotel, we’d say VA-lay.
Yeah audio was off for Ludwig. Not unlistenable or anything, but definitely distracting at times. All good tho it’s still early for them so there’s some hiccups here and there
I think Hassan's influence is system changing. You know how refreshing and faith in humanity changing it is that a socialist is one of the BIGGEST streamers on twitch? Thanks Hassan you're the best dude.
Ong bro, I've always felt that left-leaning influencers (and politicians in general) have an image problem and seem uncool so Hassan being so popular is groundbreaking and so refreshing
As another straight dude I love inviting friends over to just watch shit. You can chat about each episode with your friend you know. Normalize Netflix and chill with your bros!
I lean more towards Austin's side, like if there's a specific show/movie that we both have expressed interest in then sure I'd love to watch it with my friend(s), or if we're already hanging out and looking for something to do, but the idea of being like "hey do you wanna come over and watch something" definitely seems a lil weird to me lmao (maybe it's a fruity thing??)
@@LTMotions maybe it just depends on what kind of things you go out and do with your friends regularly/what kind of person you are? like for me, inviting someone over to watch something doesn't sound weird at all, but i'm naturally a homebody and hate going out and being around a bunch of people lol
im only 1 minute in and i just wanna say, i totally thought Hasan was gay and in a relationship with Will Neff when i first met them in Ludwigs video about the best couples on twitch about a year ago. i took the bait y'all q.q
The fact that Austin has weirdly sexualized the act of watching TV with your friends says more about him and how hookup culture has affected us socially than anything. I love showing my friends movies and shows I think they'll love and have very little intent to have sex with them during,
It's different because I'm sure if a girl asked him it wouldn't be the same response. I mean it might just be the kind of circles he's in but as a lesbian, it is pretty normal to watch movies with friends, I do get way more awkward about social stuff they do around me though. Not too keen on the whole slapping each other's ass and grabbing each other's boobs. Makes me feel like a predator and also kinda messes with my feelings.
I already said this to another comment where someone said something similar to you. Me and one of my best friends have what we call "buddy watch" where we take turns picking a TV show to show the other person. So like I went first and picked My Hero Academia, we watched all the seasons that were out at the time. Then he picked RWBY, we watched all the seasons that were out. So on and so forth. We actually had to pick shows that were completely finished because when the new seasons would come out of the shows we had watched previously, we would watch the new episodes before continuing whatever show we were watching at that moment. So at one point we were having to watch like 3 episodes of different shows first. We have buddy watch at least once a month now, because of life getting in the way, but we were doing it once a week. It's one of my most favorite things in the world.
As someone who orbits the mcyt community I can say that the jideon thing wasn’t very talked except when it happened. We as a community have gotten A LOT of online harassment and to have IRL harassment when you are trying to see your fav online creator in a supposedly safe space is obviously going to make people jump the gun a bit
Calling it harassment is extreme to me. Harassment is alot more then just being annoying and being loud. Even alot of the crowd was laughing and when jidion actually got people pissed off he wasn't as bad.

1:17:46 on this point, it's very, very true I wouldn't know who hasan is, or ever put effort into hearing his perspective without ludwig I've been a fan of ludwig ever since melee commentary blocks with slime and ludwig talking about or making jokes about hasan recently eventually had it in my mind to try out one of his videos a while back I have most definitely learned a ton from hasan's videos since then and although I was already left leaning, hasan definitely undid some stuff, like admittedly I had some red scare, without REALLY knowing the definition of what marxist communism was
Good job Marche, and the guys I guess. Fun episode! Ludwig was a little quiet just a heads up, tho I’m sure you’ve already noticed Can’t wait for more episodes!
53:34 reason why lobbies was so crazy when we were kids is because the internet was still the wild wild west. If you need further proof we called offline irl, because we always considered online as nothing but fake. A completely independent space from "real life". Hasan: This is the commodity of the proletariat
Austin: I still don’t know what that word means *sips coffee confidently*

Austin is less obvious, but I think he’s a good model too because he’s so deeply, actively listening.

Yeah. Started bleeding out of my tongue when I was younger after chomping down on too much pineapple
my entire throat gets scratchy if i eat too many pineapples, but i love them so i’ve learned to eat just the right amount before my throat gets scratchy
I heard that pairing it with mint is supposed to help with that issue but idk if its a myth or not. Tastes good either way.

I think it also might mostly be a way of protecting ourselves from predators.

I was just thinking this. No offense to Austin, but chilling together does't have to have some end goal of getting laid.

Not alone. Not a Stan myself but I feel for those kids.

Little intent but never zero. Jk.
lmfao the little intent hahahaha
It's one of my most favorite things in the world.

happy you guys are back!!
Really enjoy this episode especially when lud and hasan are having a discussion and when they go back and forth also Austin my king
This is my first time watching this podcast and i have to say I absolutely loved it! I wish all the episodes were these three. Great back and forth and very funny. Love them all!
omg the Dale poster I sent Hasan for his bday last year! I thought he surely tossed it lmao
the production and vibes of the relaunch have been immaculate Marche kicking ass widepeepohappy
to be fair to hasan there are so many bi truthers for him 💀
are they truthers or cope-ers, cause i defo fall into the later
29:40 I also get mouth issues from most fruits and I'd highly reccomend perssimmons (especially the fuyu variety or really any of the smaller flatter ones). They're really great and don't hurt my mouth at all.
I love that Lud had to introduce himself as the guest LOL
7:05 that "come to brazil", WAS INSANE, perfect execution and tonality
