aiden is exactly the same flavor of bisexual that I am and it honestly makes me feel so seen, I talk to my (also bi) girlfriend all the time about how weird it is to be bi because you're alienated by the gay community and the straight community at the same time and it's really cool to see someone so comfortable with just the idea of not thinking about it and existing and being a great dude
as a lesbian woman, i really like the bisexuality conversation! i do feel as though there is definitely bi erasure and they are seen as not being queer enough, but they’re still a huge part of the community! i appreciate that conversation and i think it’s important:)
You know damn well nobody erases bi sexual people it's just dat most bisexual identifying people are just fluid/ curious and not really like the same sex . Though they are indeed bisexual people but not as much. It's like the same rate of homosexuals ( gays and lesbians) but you can't always talk about everyone since bisexuals can still adjust very well in an heteronormative environment.
i wish they had more exposure and awareness of lesbians. i love when austin talks ab his experiences as a gay man. i just started this episode but this is def going to be my fav.
We need to get away from the idea that sexuality inherently implies anything about the person. Queer people that pass as Cis are just as valid as any other queer person and deserve acceptance as much as anyone else
The conversation about Aimen feeling not gay enough as a bi person is so real. especially dating a woman makes you feel like you’re stealing gay/bi valor and it’s a weird confusing thing
Yeah i remember how guilty i felt when i started to date my current boyfriend. It is by first straight presenting relationship and It made me felt like I'm betraying the gay community. Especially as couldn't help but notice all the little ways in which it is easier to be in a straight relationship over gay one.
Actually loved hearing the Austin/Aiden discussion about being representation. I think something to remember for Aiden is that the idea that being bi isnt that big of his identity is exactly what a lot of queer activists of the past were fighting for. The idea that it doesnt really define who you as a person. The idea that you can just be gay and not be constantly tormented or fucked with. Indifference in a lot of ways is the goal because then youre just a person, not a "gay person"
Great episode! Much love to Aiden for speaking up and asking questions. As a straight-passing bi guy, I have also asked myself if me being bisexual even matters when I've not had much trouble growing up or after coming out. Ultimately you are not defined by your struggles one way or the other. Having empathy, understanding, and a reaching out a helping hand towards others who might have had a tougher time has infinitely more weight. In Aiden's case specifically it just goes to show that honest and real representation is invaluable.
Bi people get stuck in a cycle where we don’t feel like a real queer person and don’t feel gay or bi enough to have a place in our community. And when you feel like that you’re not sure in your own experiences and are less likely to speak about them, ehich makes it really hard for us to establish our own communities. People like Aiden speaking about *his* own experience is literally exactly what we need. Plus the idea of being or being called straight passing in and off itself is so weird and such a bi™️ experience that hearing people talk about it is sure to help someone.
I think that experience is a very "American white gay" thing though. Whenever I see bi guys talk how little to no homophobia they have experienced, it's always these people in Western countries, usually upper-middle class. And like, yeah of course, but it's not because you are bi rather than gay. You have had all the rights you may need for nearly a decade and most people in your country no longer think of you as a sick deviant.
Too often ppl fall into the trap of defining queerness thru trauma but trauma is not what makes us queer, our identity is what makes us queer. I was also super lucky to not have much experience with being harassed for my queerness but that doesnt erase my queerness. I feel its also important to bring up the fact that the bi spectrum is by far the largest part of the lgbtq community n being so large makes it harder for us to form a tightknit community, resulting in many feeling like they dont have a right to the community or to speak on queer issues, but we are all integral and invaluable members of the community n have just as much claim to it as any other queer person.
@@jennifervasquez exactly, we dont need to define our identities through the lense of homophobia and even so, so many bi people say they havent experienced discrimination not because they havent but because its not the same kind of things queer people that arent bi experience and therefore think it doesnt matter or that it hasnt effected them.
the conversation on representation was great. it’s so important for queer people to see a wide variety of queer experiences just to know that they are not alone
I don't think there was a single topic where being gay was not brought up, I genuinely don't think Lud will ever beat the gay allegations. On a serious note, Aiden's question brought up a good conversation. I think it is important that representation is shown in both how Aiden lives and how someone who would be more overtly queer lives, because queer people aren't all the same, they all live different and complex lives. Also, you aren't more or less gay by the amount of struggle you went through in life. Hope we see more of this grouping! Great pod ep!
The conversation about being queer and not feeling queer enough is so real. Sexuality has never been something I had put a label on until recently and I still feel like i’m not queer enough, especially as a lesbian. I liked how the topic was taken more seriously with no jokes turning away the conversation. This definitely has to be one of my favorite episodes- and i thought this week was going to be a skip without QT…

Aimen, we like your representation because you are chill af. You show that we dont have to be stereotypically queer to be queer. We can just exist and be people. We love you for representing that for us.
as a bisexual woman currently in a relationship with a man, i really loved the talk about queerness and feeling like you're not gay enough. i'm the exact same way as Aiden in that to me my bisexuality is not a big deal but sometimes it's so easy feel like if i'm not constantly "practising queerness" i shouldnt call myself queer even if i know that's the truth. anyways really good episode i was waiting for this !!!
Yes a million times to this. I've been in a relationship with my now fiance for 10 years, and the bi erasure is so real as a bi woman. It's cool to hear from Aiden (and Austin) about reconciling society's perception and their personal identity as queer human beings. Also cool to just see Lud and Hasan give em the floor and listen
I get that as well! I try to keep in mind that I am not here to be a performer in my own life. There isn't a certain way to be when it comes to identity.
Saaameee!! I used to identified as lesbian and was only with women for 20 years. I did realize half way through that i am actually more bi than lesbian but i wanted to spend the rest of my life with my girlfriend so it didn't matter. She broke my heart after 13 years and now i unexpectedly ended up in a relationship with a guy and i feel soooo weeeeird about it as if i lost my queerness. I even feel weird wearing my rainbow socks 😅
My boyfriend and I are both bi/pan and it's nice to be able to commiserate about this because we present as a hetero couple even though we're not. Bi men are great if you can find them. I swear I never want to go back to dating straight men.
marche you baited us with that intro wtf 10/10 to aiden's serious question, different people require different "examples" or "icon" whatever the term would be. As austin very well said it's about you existing in a world that accepts you as a queer person, those younger queers imagine a world similar for them which reassures some or at least gives them some hope to find people that would treat them similarly. It is a weird position to do good involuntarily by just existing but no, past traumas wouldn't make you a better or worse fit for that position/role Ludwig i'm sorry but as a french none of your glazing of france was real except retirement and unemployment money which is getting harder and harder to get 💀 mais son accent s'est amélioré mashallah For the history nerds Versailles was built under Louis the 14th with 2 very specific goals in mind: 1) flex because that's what you did back then. 2) build a gigantic, beautiful place where he could invite every powerful nobles that could conspire against him simultaneously and scam tf outta them to keep them poor enough to be unable to mount a coup against him. If you ever go to Versailles you'll hear about how nobles would pay insane amounts of money to watch the king wake up or literally take a shit 💀
I think what Aiden doesn't even realise is that even by talking about his feelings on his bisexuality in that regard - he's validating people like myself who are bi/pan (idk really know which label I prefer for myself it seems weird to pin it down to one or the other) who are straight passing or heteronormative. Like Aiden I've not really faced that much outright homophobia really, except for like the 'regular amount' any straight dude who grew up in the 2000's early 2010's would've received for dumb shit like dressing better or something not inherent to being gay. It's something I think about decently often, that I don't really feel particularly gay, I just kind of exist doing my thing and exploring that. I think while Aiden is talking about his experience being that person for people, he's also completely missing the point that feeling 'not queer enough' can be many people's experience being bi, and him just being him is validating to those people, myself included.
Queer rep that doesn't follow the stereotypes that society at large but also the queer community expect is important. Being bi doesn't mean you have to do X or like Y or wear Z, it literally just means you are attracted to both men and women. Thats it! The fact that Aiden feels weird about people looking up to him for being BI is exactly why we need rep like him. Nobody should EVER not feel "gay enough"
real talk, i loved aiden's whole segment from 43:27 onwards, as a bi woman who often feels "not gay enough" it really hit when aiden said that about himself. at the end of the day sexuality is a spectrum and life is too short to not identify the way you feel comfortable :)
Aiden, you reallllly represent us people who are bi and currently in a hetero relationship who feel "not queer enough". I have been in lesbian relationships for over 20 years, now with a guy, and it feels super uncomfortable and like i lost something. Hearing you talk about the "not queer enough" thing and talking with people here in the comments is sooo helpful
He would bottom for any of them. Hell, he’d bottom for any hottie; he’s just super nervous about it because he’s never done it. It’s just like how he said he used to not be into any butt stuff. He just needs a kind, gentle, (hot!) man to guide him through it.
As one of the parasocial guys who messaged Aiden thanking him for his representation. I think it's beautiful how he just lives his life and is one of the guys because I think that's what a lot of bi men are afraid of losing when they come out. Ik I was scared that my male friends would see or treat me differently and it's nice to see ur relationship with the yard boys. A lot of people think of their sexual as a feature of themselves not a characteristic and I think you do a great job showing that
30:28 omg austin calling hasan awkward is lowkey true. I think his adhd is so high that it comes off as awkward too 😅 I don't mean this in a bad way either, it happens to a lot of us with adhd
It’s absolutely true that Austin and aiden are “leading by example”, as a newly out lesbian, seeing someone who just exists as a queer person without it being life-ending is really important.
Just want to say to Aiden that his representation is important, because like Austin was saying, everyone is different, everyone expresses themselves in their own way, but to just have a good positive representation out there of someone LGBT+ is really nice to see. I personally am bi, with some other stuff, but I don't really see it as much of my identity either, so for me, Aiden does represent me in a way, and all different kinds of representation of queers are important and valuable. Being yourself is exactly enough.
Yeah! Like I always appreciate the humor but I don’t mind serious or heartfelt stuff too! Altho usually will is the one coming in with the heartfelt additions haha but as a queer viewer it’s especially nice to talk seriously for a second about our experiences
i think aiden feeling pressure to be more queer esp as a bisexual man makes sense. i think he might feel as though he doesn’t deserve the reverence BECAUSE he doesn’t constantly show that he also likes men, which is rooted in biphobia ofc
as a young queer person, its really refreshing to see adult queer people just existing in the world and leading normal lives with normal relationships!! everything feels really big and scary and being overtly queer, especially when you’re young, is scary because you dont really know where its going to lead you in life and its wonderful to just see normal people who happen to be gay just doing normal stuff, even if its not a huge part of your identity. just knowing that austin and aiden are in the queer community is great, even if they dont bring it up all the time. its just comforting!! :]
Aiden feeling bad for not being "gay enough" to be bisexual representation is exactly why we need more queer rep like him. A lot of people don't feel comfortable coming out BECAUSE society has all these ideas of what a queer person is supposed to be. People need to learn that being queer doesn't have to imply anything else about you, all it means is you're queer. I think its helpful for some men to see that they can be attracted to men without changing anything else about themselves
The middle bit is so good as a biracial, bi/pansexual lady who’s spent time in an adult mental hospital. Jokes based on obvious lies CAN be funny. Just like how women can be funni
48:10 I would say I’m one of the people who look up at aiden and I know he thinks he’s not “gay enough” to be that representation, but being subtle about his sexuality is what makes him that person, a lot of people fear their sexuality being the most significant part of their personality once they come out when in reality they just want to be their own person while still being open about their sexuality
I never got bullied for being bi but i also still haven't come out to my family. The bigotry of the world hurts us all in different ways, but it still hurts everyone
@miadalton3209 the worst part is queerphobia, and I guess more specifically transphobia, hurts not just queer people, but cis and/or het people as well
i relate to aiden so much on the whole “being bi isn’t a significant part of my identity” thing!! i’m bisexual too, but it’s not a big deal to me? yk??¿? anyway, that whole conversation was great and hit very close to home. this has to be one of my favourite episodes so far.
this episode was really good, really appreciate the stuff aiden said about being bi, I really related to it and it was definitely guys like aiden who helped me feel comfortable enough to be myself
I am actively holding myself back from writing a whole ass dissertation in these comments bc this is my bread n fuckin butter but i loved the discussion on queer rep between austin n aiden n god fucking damn it i wish i could be a part of it bc i have soooo much to say. Ill just keep it to this: trauma doesnt define queerness, there is no such thing as not being queer or gay enough, you are entitled to present exactly as you feel, whether that means being extremely stereotypically queer or "straight passing" or anything in between or beyond, n i encourage all queer ppl to get in touch with the culture. Learning our history n keeping our traditions n spaces alive is invaluable n benefits the broader community but also you as an individual queer person in ways you couldnt even imagine.
Dear Aiden, Your struggle with feeling like you’re not enough to be gay representation is exactly the reason so many gays need you. It took a long time for me to realize I’m still fruity even if I’m not the stereotypical version of what people think that this. You are representation for the people who feel like maybe they aren’t gay enough, or how can I be gay if I don’t act a certain way. People just are who they are and you have a great way of showing that.

"are you saying Nick's not gay, he literally has sex with women" will now forever be, my mantra
Up there with "She was a gay man"
I like how both wine about and fear& had a platonic kissing conversation lol
Austin would bottom for Ludwig in a heartbeat. He is literally drooling
He would bottom for any of them. Hell, he’d bottom for any hottie; he’s just super nervous about it because he’s never done it. It’s just like how he said he used to not be into any butt stuff. He just needs a kind, gentle, (hot!) man to guide him through it.
now this is some weird shit that you felt comfortable commenting
@@blammmed you must be new here.
Who wouldn’t 🤤
No cz fr what@@blammmed
Here lies the end of the age of homophobia, but a new era will arise: the Era of Misogyny: Austin's Utopia
Lidwig: *I am so straight*
Ludwig: *leans over to floss Aiden's teeth with a cashew wrapper*
That was so beautiful. Austin trying to make a case for why he's more gay coded than Aimen, and the two of them just out gay right over him. 😅
It’s absolutely true that Austin and aiden are “leading by example”, as a newly out lesbian, seeing someone who just exists as a queer person without it being life-ending is really important.
48:19 Queerness isn’t defined by our oppression, it comes from our joy, however that ends up manifesting.
Honestly i never thought about it like that, thanks that's a really nice perspective.
We must all strike until we get the new set
Just want to say to Aiden that his representation is important, because like Austin was saying, everyone is different, everyone expresses themselves in their own way, but to just have a good positive representation out there of someone LGBT+ is really nice to see. I personally am bi, with some other stuff, but I don't really see it as much of my identity either, so for me, Aiden does represent me in a way, and all different kinds of representation of queers are important and valuable. Being yourself is exactly enough.
It was so good to hear a serious and thoughtful Austin this episode. More of that please.
Yeah! Like I always appreciate the humor but I don’t mind serious or heartfelt stuff too! Altho usually will is the one coming in with the heartfelt additions haha but as a queer viewer it’s especially nice to talk seriously for a second about our experiences
Nothing gayer than liking women, very true Ludwig
love hasan and austin's couple fits
I love how it's physically impossible for qt and lud to be on a podcast together
I'm bisexual and pretty disconnected from queer culture, and it's actually really nice being able to see and relate to Aiden
i think aiden feeling pressure to be more queer esp as a bisexual man makes sense. i think he might feel as though he doesn’t deserve the reverence BECAUSE he doesn’t constantly show that he also likes men, which is rooted in biphobia ofc
The way Austin was SWEATING when Ludwig took off his sweatshirt, he was the incarnation of 🥵
This new set better than i've imagined.
???😅
Ludwig comparing Fear& to Zack N Cody. This will be an intellectual gathering.
losing my mind... this was truly the GAYEST episode. Ive been waiting for this since the early yard ep where aiden says austin is hot lmao
which ep is that
Pls
@@wearmeout1Austin get off your burners
as a young queer person, its really refreshing to see adult queer people just existing in the world and leading normal lives with normal relationships!! everything feels really big and scary and being overtly queer, especially when you’re young, is scary because you dont really know where its going to lead you in life and its wonderful to just see normal people who happen to be gay just doing normal stuff, even if its not a huge part of your identity. just knowing that austin and aiden are in the queer community is great, even if they dont bring it up all the time. its just comforting!! :]
This new set looks great!
I’m actually glad this one isn’t the new set. QT deserves to be on the debut of the new set
QT is seriously the only person keeping this pod on the rails
Love the new set feels like the old set but newer
god the audio sounds so good on this one we dont need a new studio now
I never got bullied for being bi but i also still haven't come out to my family. The bigotry of the world hurts us all in different ways, but it still hurts everyone
Yeah, queerphobia impacts everyone differently and queer identity isn’t measured in suffering anyway
@miadalton3209 the worst part is queerphobia, and I guess more specifically transphobia, hurts not just queer people, but cis and/or het people as well
I think Austin will settle down before we get a new set guys.
i relate to aiden so much on the whole “being bi isn’t a significant part of my identity” thing!! i’m bisexual too, but it’s not a big deal to me? yk??¿? anyway, that whole conversation was great and hit very close to home. this has to be one of my favourite episodes so far.
Ludwig should have been in the tank top for the entire episode
@22:38 the look of deflation on Aiden’s face after being told he’s not loved enough to avoid catching the hands 😢😂
As a Frenchmen I would like it to be known that Ludwig didn’t say anything in French that was actually grammatically correct
Austin “I called my 14 years old nephew the f slur” Show
Austin "gamer" show
this episode was really good, really appreciate the stuff aiden said about being bi, I really related to it and it was definitely guys like aiden who helped me feel comfortable enough to be myself
After the QT visit, I yearned for Lud to come back. nice
To be honest I love that the podcast has a rotating cast
I'm 20 mins in, this is already a goated episode wtf
AAAAAAAA i've never been so excited for a lineup i might cry (not in a parasocial way)
YES YESSS I CAN'T BELIEVE THE BEST STREAMER OF ALL TIME IS HERE, AIMEN GAIMEN!!!!
Aimen died man have some respect
i really like what qt did with the new set, looks great!
Ludwig's under the breath "I'd sleep you" got me man 😆
The real talk segment was a really sincere and cool conversation
Yo the intro got me cackling. We'll get the set when we get the set
I’ve replayed 2:56 way too much wtf when did Ludwig get so hot ???????????? that was smooth
Hasan laughing at austin saying "btw im not ignoring you this is just my bad side" killed me 41:42 😂😂😂
The new set is gonna be here when my dad comes back from the store
Dear Aiden,
Your struggle with feeling like you’re not enough to be gay representation is exactly the reason so many gays need you. It took a long time for me to realize I’m still fruity even if I’m not the stereotypical version of what people think that this. You are representation for the people who feel like maybe they aren’t gay enough, or how can I be gay if I don’t act a certain way. People just are who they are and you have a great way of showing that.
Ludwig is so hilarious without trying. Love him. Also he is looking hotter than ever.
loved aiden and Austin’s conversation ☺️
Austin and hasan are twinning
I really enjoyed the real talk segment of the podcast, it felt so meaningful and nice to watch
Shout out to Hasan and Ludwig for giving Aiden and Austin the space to have their conversation around sexuality!
dont usually watch this pod but was instructed to watch so that the ludwig episode is among the most viewed
"isn't it sad a woman has to invade Libya to be recognized 😔"
It was 100% necessary to pan the camera off Austin at 2:57 and we literally all know why
the amount of times fear& ends homophobia will still never be enough
They just bring it back in the Patreon episodes 🥸
ludwig being heavily questioning is so real
did not expect to start my day with discourse on whether or not dr phil tops
Woah I love the new set it’s perfect 😂
Oh shit Queer Fear and Bi Sexual Pod is gonna pop off
30:25 the way Hasan's face lit up when he heard "just between you and I" in the text he's so messy I love it
I look forward to this podcast every week
