Awesomesauce John!!! You are incredibly creative. My wife loves tater tots from the air fryer. Going to have to try this and surprise her with something ingeniously different. I think it can safely be filed under comfort foods. Was studying your clock in the background. When you say see you in 2 minutes, 2 minutes it is!!

Thanks, gotta get those tots dry! Great eye on the clock, I didn't even think of that LOL

YUM! My sister and her family love to make a "Cheesy Potatoes" casserole. I'd like to try freeze-drying that and for me, this one. They're not really into chili... but that leaves more for the rest of us, lol. This looks absolutely deeeeeeeeelicious. 😋 Thanks again for all you share! Now I just need the freeze dryer to be able to fast forward... my list of things to try keeps getting longer and longer because of your videos. 😂👍

Well, my scratch and smell screen worked just fine! Very delicious aroma! But I think I’ll upgrade next year to the Scratch, Smell and Taste screen, that is if I can find out who sells them! HAPPY SAFE and BLESSED NEW YEAR to all!

Hi John!! I was just wondering the other day if tater tot casserole would work out well. Looks like it might.
    Have a great day!

Another delicious looking recipe. And a good use for "extra" chili since it is impossible to make homemade chili in anything less than a giant pot 😅
How does the tot texture compare to the original casserole?

Thanks, they were only slightly softer though they did still maintain some of the outer crunch.

That’s an acronym my brother’s kids use, it means “I Just Burst Out Laughing.” That was my reaction to your “scratch ‘n sniff” comment!! That made my whole week.
I noticed your cheese packages. One was Kraft, the other Great Value. Great Value is a Walmart brand (like Kirkland is a Costco brand). When you said you thought you had 2 bags of the same kind of cheese I remembered when I worked at Walmart how that can happen.
When falling behind in stocking, the Assistant Manager (usually the overnight) pull people from other departments to help out. They try getting things done fast, not well. Often they’ll put the product wherever it’ll fit, not paying attention to different brands. However another thing that happens is around 5am, everyone “zones,” which means they beautify the shelves, pulling everything forward to make the shelves look full. Often a customer has decided they don’t want something and toss it randomly on the shelf. Whoever is zoning pays no attention to where things belong, they just make the shelf look good. Someone probably put the Kraft on the same shelf as the Great Value. Depending which one you wanted, the one you didn’t was behind the one you did. I apologize for all my former overworked teammates for not paying attention.
On a side note, here’s something customer’s get “wrong” a lot. They picked up a gallon of milk in dairy, and while shopping in the frozen section realize they don’t want that milk anymore, put the gallon in the freezer thinking “someone will see this gets back to the dairy before it freezes (and can’t be sold anymore)..” well, no one notices until 5am when someone zoning realizes frozen milk doesn’t belong there and pull it out. These get written off and tossed. The customer who put it there could just as easily left it on a shelf to spoil (they do that too), or just tossed it in a garbage can, because no one’s going to see it in time. The best thing to do is hand it to a cashier at checkout, they’ll get it back to where it belongs. Though often if the package is warm to the touch it means it was in the customer’s shopping cart too long and gets written off as a loss.
I see someone else already commented on getting a scratch ‘n taste screen. 🤣

I think I heard of them but wasn’t sure where. It could have been on a bus ride from Gatwick to Heathrow I had to take to change flights (don’t remember what year). I had only flown through London twice, the first time I was on a helicopter ride between those airports.
I looked them up, Walmart acquired them in 1999 but only owns 10% of them now. I might have heard of ASDA when I worked for Walmart (on and off) between 2008-2019.
