The TN government has completely removed SETC BUS service from Chennai district and relocated it to Chengalpattu district. Now there is no SETC bus service in Chennai district, so people from Chennai have to travel to Chengalpattu district to reach the southern region. This is a very poor decision by the government, as it burdens the people. The government should consider the needs of the people living in Chennai and its surrounding areas
1 we have to accept the change. 2 omni bus wants to use all the passengers using high dynamic fare only not for passengers interest. 3 only in Tamilnadu govt is giving Omni bus stand & parking. Not in Kerala or Karnataka. Bus management has to manage themselves 4 killambakkam, thambaram, mudichur passengers want to go Bangalore, Hosur ,thirupathi Hyderabad etc are going koyambedu only. No one is raising concern about this.

I takes about 3 to 4hours for the chennai suburb(Avadi,thiruvottiyur) people to reach kilambakkam.Without huge luggages how can we travel in local buses so finally we have to take call taxi. Bus fare to trichy is Rs.600 but call taxi fare from avadi to kilambakkam is Rs 1000......super sunrise....m
In Bangalore all outstation bus is restricted to outskirts bus stand only!!.. Thats how you can manage traffic in big cities.. Passengers should understand Govt's issues & think in a bigger perspective..

When Tamilnadu government moved from Parry's Corner to Koyambedu, the government made a commitment that the bus stand was being shifted to Koyambedu due to traffic issues in Chennai. They claimed to have planned the infrastructure for nearly 100 years to solve the traffic issue and invested a lot in koyambedu, compare to this new bus stand, but look at what has happened now. In less than 25 years, they have completely moved the bus stand to Chengalpattu district. This approach of relocating the bus stand and building new facilities is not the right solution. Traffice rules need to get strict. The same issue might happen tomorrow in a new place, there's no assurance. My question is, what about the government's commitment when moving from Parry's Corner to Koyambedu? Now, the public is suffering to travel, especially those at the other end of Chennai district. We are not asking for anything free, we are simply requesting not to create more trouble for us.

In the election agenda, if any of the political leaders mentions that they will change SETC bus service from chengalpattu district to Chennai Koyambedu or Parry's Corner, my vote is for that party. Everyone is not staying near koyambedu. City limit has increased to 30 - 40 km. people living in outskirts or south chennai it is easy for them to reach new bus stand. from my home it is 20 minutes now. Koyambedu and central station are around 2.5 hrs journey for me. due to this reason they have developed new stand in all zones of chennai. Tambaram is now having around 8 platforms and 2 more going to come soon. Most of south trains will be stopped in tambaram in future thats the plan.

I wanted to go to my native next week. I tried booking my tickets in private bus hardly 4 bus only starts inside the city. Others all are starting from kilambakkam bus stand. I have a kid and the new bus stand is a bit far away. How will we go?? Atleast private bus they can start from city. Its very bad. Now trains have become better but trains are crowded. Very pathetic situation. I request government to reconsider this decision. Cos people are suffering.
Due to VCK public meeting yesterday night (26-Jan) People from down south after reaching Tiruchy being diverted and got a delay of minimum 4-5 hrs. Poor administration by TN Government, for a party conducting public gathering common people travelling are made to suffer. We suffer immediate change to KMBT from CMBT on 24-Jan, also suffered y'day night due to the meeting. It seems TN Government is not concerned of common people comute & sufferings and they focus for ads and public gathering organizing. Also mobile network connectivity is very poor, its pathetic for commuters to suffer when everything was good even now at CMBT location. Its creating huge traffic in GST road, its an absurd decission to change Bus station without proper infrastructure, connectivity, Telecom Network & Planning. Tax payers money wasted and the same people are forced to suffer

Need of the time: 1. Build steel crossing bridges asap 2. Create shuttle services to any of the local train/metro stations 3. Allow as much as hotels inside bus stand and ensure price and quality 4. Important: where is Amma unavagam????? That’s very important at this point of time. If you dont like the name then just rename it to Dravida Model Food Court or Social Justice Unavagam and place it inside kilambakkam 4. Ensure proper price for autos and taxies (take kerala model) running from Kilamb to other places 5. Allow some buses to reach koyembedu via outer ring road bcz so many needs to reach north chennai

When all the govt. buses are being operated from Kilambakkam, why this private omni buses refuses to operate from Kilambakkam. Omni buses are charging 4 to 5 times charges extra ticket charges. There is no confusion in this regard . Let Omni buses should operate from Kilambakkam. While switching over from Koyambedu to Kilambakkam, there will be hitching for a week. After that system will come into effect normally.

It’s not about moving bus, that grand southern trunk road can manage multiple bus without traffic ( unlike the first boomer says) the main problem in perungalathur is all those bus being stopped there as if it’s a terminus and those drivers are least bothered about the traffic and start parking the buses from erikarai signal till sriram gate way and to add to that, there’s brige construction going on 🥵. North Chennai from Ennore to Koyambedu is quite far. We adjust when transferring from Parrys Corner to Koyambedu, now they are completely shifting to Kilambakkam(chengalpattu district) which is unfair. What the government is thinking about us, I don't know. There needs to be a new rule that every politician should travel in a government bus and not use a car. Only then will politicians understand the real challenges faced by the public. Politicians traveling in luxury cars act like they are princes, while the public are treated like beggars.

When ap buses were shifted to mmbt there were no voices.. from past 2 years apsrtc operations are from Mmbt ..apsrtc cancelled more than 75 percent of service only due to mmbt

The worst part is coming back to Chennai, as the buses will stop in Kilambakam and the trains & town buses will all be packed with people. Koyambedu was far better as even if there were traffic it lasted only for sometime but everyone had access to go to anywhere in the city which is what lacking here and this will only get worse 😔😠
The fact of the matter is there should have been two Bus depots in Chennai with Koyambedu on one side and Kelambakjam on the other side since it will benefit the passengers of both region After all the revenue to the govt is most important.Any person starting to Deep South is not a fool to travel to Kelambakjam meaning Ambattur.Rather he can engage a Local train to Egmore and catch the connecting train and save money.

The TN government has completely removed SETC BUS service from Chennai district and relocated it to Chengalpattu district. Now there is no SETC bus service in Chennai district, so people from Chennai have to travel to Chengalpattu district to reach the southern region. This is a very poor decision by the government, as it burdens the people. The government should consider the needs of the people living in Chennai and its surrounding areas

I takes about 3 to 4hours for the chennai suburb(Avadi,thiruvottiyur) people to reach kilambakkam.Without huge luggages how can we travel in local buses so finally we have to take call taxi. Bus fare to trichy is Rs.600 but call taxi fare from avadi to kilambakkam is Rs 1000......super sunrise....m

My question is, what about the government's commitment when moving from Parry's Corner to Koyambedu? Now, the public is suffering to travel, especially those at the other end of Chennai district. Everyone is not staying near koyambedu. City limit has increased to 30 - 40 km. people living in outskirts or south chennai it is easy for them to reach new bus stand. from my home it is 20 minutes now. Koyambedu and central station are around 2.5 hrs journey for me. due to this reason they have developed new stand in all zones of chennai. Tambaram is now having around 8 platforms and 2 more going to come soon. Most of south trains will be stopped in tambaram in future thats the plan.

I wanted to go to my native next week. I tried booking my tickets in private bus hardly 4 bus only starts inside the city. Others all are starting from kilambakkam bus stand. I have a kid and the new bus stand is a bit far away. How will we go?? Atleast private bus they can start from city. Its very bad. Now trains have become better but trains are crowded. Very pathetic situation. I request government to reconsider this decision. Cos people are suffering.

Due to VCK public meeting yesterday night (26-Jan) People from down south after reaching Tiruchy being diverted and got a delay of minimum 4-5 hrs.
Poor administration by TN Government, for a party conducting public gathering common people travelling are made to suffer.
We suffer immediate change to KMBT from CMBT on 24-Jan, also suffered y'day night due to the meeting.
It seems TN Government is not concerned of common people comute & sufferings and they focus for ads and public gathering organizing.
Also mobile network connectivity is very poor, its pathetic for commuters to suffer when everything was good even now at CMBT location.
Its creating huge traffic in GST road, its an absurd decission to change Bus station without proper infrastructure, connectivity, Telecom Network & Planning.

Koyembedu ku porapa they can drop in between but here the situation is worst! Walk so many kms, unsafe road crossing, no proper food, water and hotels to stay near by, high cost of travel to interior of the city! CMDA says once Metro comes in 2030 situation comes under control!

Need of the time:
1. Build steel crossing bridges asap
2. Create shuttle services to any of the local train/metro stations

When all the govt. buses are being operated from Kilambakkam, why this private omni buses refuses to operate from Kilambakkam. Omni buses are charging 4 to 5 times charges extra ticket charges. There is no confusion in this regard . Let Omni buses should operate from Kilambakkam. While switching over from Koyambedu to Kilambakkam, there will be hitching for a week. After that system will come into effect normally.

North Chennai from Ennore to Koyambedu is quite far. We adjust when transferring from Parrys Corner to Koyambedu, now they are completely shifting to Kilambakkam(chengalpattu district) which is unfair. What the government is thinking about us, I don't know. There needs to be a new rule that every politician should travel in a government bus and not use a car. Only then will politicians understand the real challenges faced by the public. Politicians traveling in luxury cars act like they are princes, while the public are treated like beggars.

Koyembedu ku porapa they can drop in between but here the situation is worst! Walk so many kms, unsafe road crossing, no proper food, water and hotels to stay near by, high cost of travel to interior of the city! CMDA says once Metro comes in 2030 situation comes under control!

Need of the time:
1. Build steel crossing bridges asap
2. Create shuttle services to any of the local train/metro stations
3. Allow as much as hotels inside bus stand and ensure bus and quality
4. Important: where is Amma unavagam????? That’s very important at this point of time. If you dont like the name then just rename it to Dravida Model Food Court or Social Justice Unavagam and place it inside kilambakkam
4. Ensure proper price for autos and taxies (take kerala model) running from Kilamb to other places
5. Allow some buses to reach koyembedu via outer ring road bcz so many needs to reach north chennai

The worst part is coming back to Chennai, as the buses will stop in Kilambakam and the trains & town buses will all be packed with people. Koyambedu was far better as even if there were traffic it lasted only for sometime but everyone had access to go to anywhere in the city which is what lacking here and this will only get worse 😔😠

The fact of the matter is there should have been two Bus depots in Chennai with Koyambedu on one side and Kelambakjam on the other side since it will benefit the passengers of both region After all the revenue to the govt is most important.Any person starting to Deep South is not a fool to travel to Kelambakjam meaning Ambattur.Rather he can engage a Local train to Egmore and catch the connecting train and save money.
