I don't really think wargaming knows how much this could effect how newer players view the game, with such OP tanks running around in tier 7, how would they be able to grind? Picture this, you're a new player, you just got your first tier 6, let's say its a vk 30.01 P or a hellcat or something, then your first battle, there's a smasher who peeks around the corner and make your life a living hell, that's the problem, wargaming selling OP tanks for the price of 15k gold, and not only that, if you're lucky you could get it between 1-2k gold, imagine that. This is so fucked up, I'd be fine if they sold like tier 9 tanks because ofcourse they would be fighting in high tiers which is unacessable for newbies at that time, and at which point that tank will become unpopular once newbies reach the world of high tiers, but tier 7? Damn you wargaming, just damn you.

I despise that tank and feel it should not be in the game especially when you come around a corner and there it is "BOOM" you're killed. On the other hand don't know if WG made a mistake but I played the draw and at 50 gold received the container, opened it and received 10,000 gold.
The only problem I have with the tank is that it is good at snapping shots, you can gamble against the KV2 but not against this tank, it has dispersion and aim time comparable to 122/100mm guns, it WILL pen you from across the map, it WILL hit you at 60km/h, it will smash your cupola.
1-2 Smashers in EVERY game i do in 6-7 right now.... its so idiotic, totally kills the "fun" of leveling tier 6-7 and considdering that is where the new players will be stuck a long time, and where they will slowly get into endgame...this is just dumb... I personally know at least 3 people who got tired off the game around tier 6 to 7... Not saying its only because of the Smasher (or Anihilator) but they are a large part of it. They found the game fun at "low" tier... but the game changes a lot around tier 7ish.... (not only because of the smasher but in general) and when that changed partly is getting one-shot by smasher...ohhh well.
Son won this on 4th try. He killed 12 in boss mode his second game, we all know what this thing is…but that time you first get, it cant be replaced. But the players need things like this i think, it is definatly not a meh tank. Wonder what the next one will be.

I was very lucky getting the smasher from that event where you get the free WZ Blaze. I went for the lock box key and got the smasher on my first lockbox. Used it to obtain the WZ blaze afterwards
I was glad, because I am free to play and finally had a chance of getting the smasher, then I got sad after I realized that even more people would have it, ruining the matchmaking, then I got even sadder after running out of the very little gold I had to begin with and not getting the smasher lol

well, A. KV2 doesnt reload in 15 seconds. B. KV2 doesnt have the prem pen to fuck off any kind of heavy armored tanks you'll encounter. C. KV2 has the nerfed HE pen, Smasher doesnt. D. Smasher has better aimtime somehow, so gun handling is better than that of kv2
KV-2 gets a crappy AP shell with slightly higher pen as it's premium ammo, so it can't lolpen heavies from the front. That and it has even worse reload, armor, accuracy, and bad HE pen.
@@sameh59younis15 a lot of the tanks that you face as a KV-2 have enough armor to reduce that 960 to sub 450 by just looking at you or angling slightly. The bad accuracy makes it so that you can only reliably HE hellcats and light tanks, and even then you will probably hit their tracks if you get their sides.
I'd actually gotten the Smasher in my early days in WOT from some containers or something, and I proceeded to sell it cause I didn't want to play 'meme' tanks at that time. I regret that now cause now I like to play the 'meme' tanks from time to time for the hell of it, but no way I'm gonna spend 15k gold for it.
I got smasher from smasher container for 1.5k gold. 1 box and got it. .last year. I have 71%wr in it which is avg. And I gotta say it's not exciting. I prefer tankenstein over this. .why? Because of fun factor. Smasher may be fun for some games but for tankenstein. . For some reason. . Premium ammo just feels so good. . Because leaving them 1 shot is funnier than one shot. . because they will rage whole game which is fun to see. Still . .I just prefer any mediocre tier 7 over smasher because they need my own skill to drive.
In the only piece of luck I've ever had with crates/draws, I got the Smasher on my 5th roll... so I got it for only a few hundred 😳 Yes, it's slow and can get easily penned, but it's so much fun! Doing 900+ damage in one shot at T7 is hilarious - very happy with my new, ridiculous tank 😎
I know gambling crates is bad but Smasher is Badass 😅. I sold WT Ritter and Badger and I spent 13550 gold and got Smasher. In the Bad company container, I got Helsing. 13.5k gold for Smasher and Helsing and 7 day premium time and some useless attachments is a decent deal considering Smasher won't be sold for fixed price.

Across the last four, five years there have been times when the smasher was in matches frequently. Like the Annihilator it ruled a certain time. Nowadays, okay, Tier 6,7 is not so often on my playlist, it has become a rare sight. I have hopes that it stays that way. Addition - standard Smasher die hard has not 65% win rate😂😂 Just spammed tier 7 with my total OP HESH Comet and had only once a smasher in the match out of six. That’s okay
Most smasher players are just dumb bots who couldn't win without it or the annihilator anyways and still end up being a hindrance to the team because of lacking game knowledge so they still lose.

They are similar in that they can one-shot lower tier tanks, and they are nicer tanks overall. Even if you think the two are the same, if the KV-2 is freely available, the Smasher should at least be accessible.

Exactly. 15500 gold is the judgement I made, especially when all the gold was free from ads and missions anyway. I got the Smasher for 7550 gold on the 12th spin, so was very happy. While I would never buy a container, the draw at least has some merit by it providing a guaranteed result from a known cost. My only issue is those details should be obvious, not tucked away behind a tiny info icon on the top left. Many people don't notice it or realise they were quite close to getting the tank when giving up.
Normally if someone cares… They do not make the same mistake again and again. WG it looks like doesn’t care at all. I’m someone who enjoys low tiers. Now you can wait with tier V 45 minutes in queue without bot MM, (WG trying to prevent seal clubbing). Tier VI-VII is completely unbalanced unless you play something like Black Prince. That makes only playable tier right now VIII-X. Like why bringing again these cringe tanks? I have decided to stop spending. I want to know how it goes in future. well.. cuz battlepass/boosters already ruined low tier gaming? only worthwhile tanks to have now is like at least tier 7+ imho- even then tier 7 is the maximum currently for the WG's "haloweeen"-ish bullshit tanks, and tier 8~10 is the ace in the hole with stupidly fast grinds compared to like 8 years from before, with 25% sales from battlepass, 5x boosters running amok, and the xp boosters doubling that again.

The M18 Hellcat is the most OP tank in the game in my opinion she can destroy the smasher very easy because you can outspot him and destroy him with one of the best guns in the game

smasher is one of the best tanks in the game? even in t8 it still can pen everything with premium shells. m41D is not better, but its still really good. i usually plat tX so i dont fear the smasher at all (the annihilator is stronger anyway)

I was happy to get the Smasher, as it's a highly desirable tank and the gold I accumulated was all free anyway. With 15500 gold being the guarantee for the tank, the draw at least has a finite outcome, whereas containers are a complete scam. With some luck, I might get it cheaper anyway. As it proved, I got it on the 12th try of the 15 levels for a total cost of 7550 gold. If there's a complaint with the draw is that the gold investment is not clear. While you start at 30, then 50, 100, 200, etc, you don't know the cost of each spin and total spend unless you note the small info icon on the top left and check the details. I read several people in Facebook groups stopped spinning after 10,000 or so gold. Why? Invest the next 5500. That's the real scam with the draw, that people will blow 10,000 gold, only to be later seduced by another "scam", or buy the tank outright, as I expect it will come into the store within 6 months for 15,000 gold. As for the Smasher itself, it's really just a nicer KV-2. I've never feared it on the battle field, and that it can one-shot a tier 6 is no different to a KV-2 able to one-shot a tier 5. For any notion of it being "OP", the easiest fix to that was always to make it more widely available. So I congratulate WG on this one, with the obvious caveat to make the details of the draw more obvious. Really, each time you spin it should pop up a small screen showing all the levels remaining and the total cost so you can plan your approach. If all you have is 10,000 gold, you'll try a few spins. If you have 20,000 gold, then you can consider going all the way.
I'm going to stop you right there. This tank isn't just a better kv2, frankly it is more like a e100 at tier 7 (you'd be surprised at how similar the stats are). The problem with the tank is positioning, but if you have someone who knows what they are doing, this tank is accurate and hard hitting with barely any drawbacks. Yes, with good play you can beat it, any tank is that way. It's reload isn't the best and it doesn't have much gun depression Taking that into account though, someone who knows it isn't going to let you do that. Just pulled this thing for 80 gold and it is literally a turreted su152. My main problem with the thing though is how by just existing it makes other tanks irrelevant (tankenstein, su152, vindicator, most other heavies)

It's a regular super heavy with a big gun that, tier for tier, hits less hard than the KV2 and Smasher.

If you are an average player and don't have a problem, good for you, I am more worried about those newer players or less experienced ones getting one shot from across the map. Just yesterday, I HE'd the side of a panther for 800, killing him, because he wasn't at all expecting it.

It's 140 vs 258 standard, and 250 vs 334 premium. You're getting yourself into riddles! I also doubt you find many people saying the E100 gun is too powerful. Like I said, a KV-2 can one-shot lower tier, and it's freely available. ISU-152 can do the same. If you're truly worried about powerful guns, that's another discussion and something to whinge to WG about. All I'm saying is it's good the Smasher can be obtained, and if you are concerned about the "OP" factor (I'm not), making it more available is the solution. Personally, I just some of these complaints as people aggrieved they spent hundreds of dollars trying to get it by gambling, and now it could be obtained with 15500 gold. You know something? That's WG's business model for every tank, and the Smasher was long overdue to be more accessible.

I certainly did not way that the Smasher has the same pen _overall_ as the E100, I was merely talking about HE pen, sorry for not capitalizing that as it probably made it a bit harder to discern. As for the comet comment, yes, other tanks have more dpm then the E100, I understand that. What I meant by that is, heavy to heavy, their playstyle is very very similar and thus 2 tanks 4 tiers apart should not have stats this similar! Mediums tend to have better dpm than their heavy counterparts tier for tier, but they also tend to have to expose longer to use it, it isn't flat out damage per shot. there are trade offs with each tank type after all. Personally, I can play around the Smasher, that isn't my problem. My problem is that a tank like that heavily dissuades new players from continuing their journeys. The reason I didn't put the KV-2 or the ISU-152 with the smasher are thus. The KV-2 has 3 major disadvantages over the Smasher, and I'm sure you'd agree. 1) Unlike the Smasher, the KV-2 actually suffers a substantial reload nerf, which makes it the longest single shot reload in the game. This combined with 2) bad terrain resistances and 3) a worse bloom when moving leads to a much worse tank. The ISU, while much stronger, has a couple reason I don't, personally, think it is as bad (though I will gladly admit it is busted at times due to it's reload). 1) it doesn't have a turret, thus it can't pre-aim. This stops it from being a real threat on the front line and while the RHM Borsig has no armor, the smasher does (which is a much more apt comparison I'd say DUE to that turret). But I acquiesce, the ISU certainly is potent. It is, however, also at a tier where I feel most people are at least familiar with avoiding guns like that; it barely gets a slide from me. While I would say that it is, in the end, up to Wargaming, and I do also think it should have been sold more widely (in some ways) this was _not_ the way to do it. I personally just wish they would nerf the tank (that is the whole reason they invented the collector category after all)

The Skoda Golem in tier 8 has the worst gun i ever used. Compared to that Smasher is a laser beam.

Across the last four, five years there have been times when the smasher was in matches frequently. Like the Annihilator it ruled a certain time. Nowadays, okay, Tier 6,7 is not so often on my playlist, it has become a rare sight. I have hopes that it stays that way.

They are similar in that they can one-shot lower tier tanks, and they are nicer tanks overall. Even if you think the two are the same, if the KV-2 is freely available, the Smasher should at least be accessible.

Exactly. 15500 gold is the judgement I made, especially when all the gold was free from ads and missions anyway. I got the Smasher for 7550 gold on the 12th spin, so was very happy. While I would never buy a container, the draw at least has some merit by it providing a guaranteed result from a known cost. My only issue is those details should be obvious, not tucked away behind a tiny info icon on the top left. Many people don't notice it or realise they were quite close to getting the tank when giving up.

Normally if someone cares… They do not make the same mistake again and again. WG it looks like doesn’t care at all. I’m someone who enjoys low tiers. Now you can wait with tier V 45 minutes in queue without bot MM, (WG trying to prevent seal clubbing). Tier VI-VII is completely unbalanced unless you play something like Black Prince. That makes only playable tier right now VIII-X. Like why bringing again these cringe tanks? I have decided to stop spending. I want to know how it goes in future. Obviously will not invest big in to something that will not last for many years.
well.. cuz battlepass/boosters already ruined low tier gaming? only worthwhile tanks to have now is like at least tier 7+ imho- even then tier 7 is the maximum currently for the WG's "haloweeen"-ish bullshit tanks, and tier 8~10 is the ace in the hole with stupidly fast grinds compared to like 8 years from before, with 25% sales from battlepass, 5x boosters running amok, and the xp boosters doubling that again.

The M18 Hellcat is the most OP tank in the game in my opinion she can destroy the smasher very easy because you can outspot him and destroy him with one of the best guns in the game

smasher is one of the best tanks in the game? even in t8 it still can pen everything with premium shells. m41D is not better, but its still really good. i usually plat tX so i dont fear the smasher at all (the annihilator is stronger anyway)

I was happy to get the Smasher, as it's a highly desirable tank and the gold I accumulated was all free anyway. With 15500 gold being the guarantee for the tank, the draw at least has a finite outcome, whereas containers are a complete scam. With some luck, I might get it cheaper anyway. As it proved, I got it on the 12th try of the 15 levels for a total cost of 7550 gold. If there's a complaint with the draw is that the gold investment is not clear. While you start at 30, then 50, 100, 200, etc, you don't know the cost of each spin and total spend unless you note the small info icon on the top left and check the details. I read several people in Facebook groups stopped spinning after 10,000 or so gold. Why? Invest the next 5500. That's the real scam with the draw, that people will blow 10,000 gold, only to be later seduced by another "scam", or buy the tank outright, as I expect it will come into the store within 6 months for 15,000 gold.
As for the Smasher itself, it's really just a nicer KV-2. I've never feared it on the battle field, and that it can one-shot a tier 6 is no different to a KV-2 able to one-shot a tier 5. For any notion of it being "OP", the easiest fix to that was always to make it more widely available. So I congratulate WG on this one, with the obvious caveat to make the details of the draw more obvious. Really, each time you spin it should pop up a small screen showing all the levels remaining and the total cost so you can plan your approach. If all you have is 10,000 gold, you'll try a few spins. If you have 20,000 gold, then you can consider going all the way.
I'm going to stop you right there. This tank isn't just a better kv2, frankly it is more like a e100 at tier 7 (you'd be surprised at how similar the stats are). The problem with the tank is positioning, but if you have someone who knows what they are doing, this tank is accurate and hard hitting with barely any drawbacks. Yes, with good play you can beat it, any tank is that way. It's reload isn't the best and it doesn't have much gun depression Taking that into account though, someone who knows it isn't going to let you do that. Just pulled this thing for 80 gold and it is literally a turreted su152. My main problem with the thing though is how by just existing it makes other tanks irrelevant (tankenstein, su152, vindicator, most other heavies)

It's a regular super heavy with a big gun that, tier for tier, hits less hard than the KV2 and Smasher.

This is honestly ridiculous . If you are an average player and don't have a problem, good for you, I am more worried about those newer players or less experienced ones getting one shot from across the map. Just yesterday, I HE'd the side of a panther for 800, killing him, because he wasn't at all expecting it.

It's 140 vs 258 standard, and 250 vs 334 premium. You're getting yourself into riddles! I also doubt you find many people saying the E100 gun is too powerful.
Like I said, a KV-2 can one-shot lower tier, and it's freely available. ISU-152 can do the same. If you're truly worried about powerful guns, that's another discussion and something to whinge to WG about. All I'm saying is it's good the Smasher can be obtained, and if you are concerned about the "OP" factor (I'm not), making it more available is the solution.
Personally, I just some of these complaints as people aggrieved they spent hundreds of dollars trying to get it by gambling, and now it could be obtained with 15500 gold. You know something? That's WG's business model for every tank, and the Smasher was long overdue to be more accessible.

I certainly did not way that the Smasher has the same pen _overall_ as the E100, I was merely talking about HE pen, sorry for not capitalizing that as it probably made it a bit harder to discern. As for the comet comment, yes, other tanks have more dpm then the E100, I understand that. What I meant by that is, heavy to heavy, their playstyle is very very similar and thus 2 tanks 4 tiers apart should not have stats this similar! Mediums tend to have better dpm than their heavy counterparts tier for tier, but they also tend to have to expose longer to use it, it isn't flat out damage per shot. there are trade offs with each tank type after all.
Personally, I can play around the Smasher, that isn't my problem. My problem is that a tank like that heavily dissuades new players from continuing their journeys. The reason I didn't put the KV-2 or the ISU-152 with the smasher are thus. The KV-2 has 3 major disadvantages over the Smasher, and I'm sure you'd agree. 1) Unlike the Smasher, the KV-2 actually suffers a substantial reload nerf, which makes it the longest single shot reload in the game. This combined with 2) bad terrain resistances and 3) a worse bloom when moving leads to a much worse tank. The ISU, while much stronger, has a couple reason I don't, personally, think it is as bad (though I will gladly admit it is busted at times due to it's reload). 1) it doesn't have a turret, thus it can't pre-aim. This stops it from being a real threat on the front line and while the RHM Borsig has no armor, the smasher does (which is a much more apt comparison I'd say DUE to that turret). But I acquiesce, the ISU certainly is potent. It is, however, also at a tier where I feel most people are at least familiar with avoiding guns like that; it barely gets a slide from me.
While I would say that it is, in the end, up to Wargaming, and I do also think it should have been sold more widely (in some ways) this was _not_ the way to do it. I personally just wish they would nerf the tank (that is the whole reason they invented the collector category after all)
