What an enjoyable video, Diane was very informative in a casual manner. Although the dog wasn't at first completely cooperative with back trim, I believe it settled right in when it felt safe. At the end of the clip dog and groomer were both, at leased seemed very relaxed. I am so impressed with groomer, clipper, dog! Even more yet its wonderful to know Diane works in/with agility with her dogs.
She is a perfect example of a breeder and shows love of the breed!

Wow, what a beautiful and GOOD poodle! My poodles would never stand like that for me. I think they do for the groomer, but I would love to do them myself! I'm practicing, but am still very timid, afraid of cutting them.

I wish there was link for the type of clippers she's using?

Good demo, thanks Diane, however, the reporter should not be talking and interrupting the demo. Camera man did a very poor job. You don't showcase talking heads, you show the PAWS!!!! Why is the camera on people? We are here to see the paws closeup not from a distance, or with the hand covering up the paw. Why is the Reporter hovering around the paw - this should be where the cameraman is standing. Ridiculous reporting job and camera work. You are both rank amateurs and destroyed the demo.
Grass and fertilizer do not affect the feet this way. Yes, freshly cut grass may affect a white dog's skin somewhat but not to the extent of discoloration. That red spot on top of the paw did not come from grass. It is ringworm or tinea. Treat it with Tolnaftate or Terbinafine HCl (Lamisil generic) antifungal creams. Why is the Reporter doing the talking? You are not needed in this demo. Pin the mic on the groomer and step back out of the frame and QUIT TALKING!!!
The reason for discoloration on paws start with diet. Commercial pellet and canned food have little nutrition and many allergens like high carbs, corn, sweeteners, and artificial food in there. This causes the liver to throw back the toxins onto the skin to excrete them out. The paws start to itch. The dog licks the paws depositing porphyrin and iron stains from saliva. This is iron oxide. Trying to bleach them out will set the rust stain in permanently. Additionally, the constant moisture breeds yeast and fungal infections on the skin.
Solution: Feed fresh food. Rule #1 of dog care. Cut out the commercial junk food. Give fresh meat, veggies, fish, sardines, eggs, yoghurt, fish oil, supplements. Now you have no liver damage and no skin damage. Shampoo with a good antifungal shampoo and dip feet in warm Epsom salts and colorless Iodine to kill all infection and fungus. Cured.
You can detox the liver in humans and dogs by using Silymarin and Glycine (amino acid powder from Amazon). Both will make a healthy liver. You get fatty liver from too many carbs and sugars in the junky commercial food - its all bad. Use fresh food.

First off if you heard the reporter was also a groomer as she says where they work they have a poodle.
Second this is 11 years ago
Third. Pink feet can also be from stress biting, as an animal care student I know this.
Fourth- not everyone can afford fresh meat and vegetable. Especially with the price inflation.
You seem to be very judgemental, just because you do your, reading, there will always be people higher up who knows more about grooming, paw colouring and nutrition.

Does that blade get hot using the same one? When I switch blades on my Andes it is always getting the blades hot after ten minutes or so.

Thanks for the video; a couple of added tips for what I have been doing with our miniature poodle using a Laube IVAC clipper with the standard 10 blade connected to a Dyson DC-15 vac to keep the house clean.
