I Love Bobby Wilson He brings such Wonderful Memories of his Dad Jackie Wilson that my Husband VINCENT Palazzolo and I Lucy Palazzolo loved to listen to when my Husband was alive
He said himself that he's not Jackie Wilson, he's trying to be his dad, so why passing those kind of judgments. I think that he's great on his own style.

Amazing how people are so quick to say that he looks and sound like his father. He does not! He’s a baritone while his dad was a high tenor. Bobby has rather limited range while Jackie had an endless range which spanned from low baritone to soprano. He also doesn’t really look like Jackie.....some resemblance sure but “spitting image”? Not by a long shot. People want to see and hear what they want to see a s hear.....not what’s actually there. Bobby is a decent singer and I applaud his efforts to keep his fathers legacy alive but seeing as he can’t sing nearly as well as Jackie, those efforts are perhaps a little misplaced.
Let's be fair. Very few singers can do Jackie Wilson like him. But he IS the spitting image of Jackie in his early prime. He actually does have a powerful voice. He's not as smooth on the dancing, but kudos to him for trying - nobody else has even tried to go there. I think the songs just aren't a fit. I know why he's singing them, obviously, but they just don't fit for him. It's like someone doing very, very good karaoke.
