- The time has come for the HHIC himself to push the new Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Turbo with the Apache Tracks kit to the limit. So, of course he phones up some friends and proceeds to take over the Woodward Peace Park snowboard park at Boreal Mountain Resort and shreds it with X Games Gold medalist/Olympic athlete snowboarder Danny Davis. Good times ensue AND nobody gets hurt?!

Boreal was definately one of the innovators when it comes to allowing snowboarders to shred on the mountains,when Ken mentioned it in the video it reminded me of a time around 1979 or 1980?i was about 12 yrs old and I had my new burton powder gun and all of the fresh gear of the time on.I stepped up to the lift ticket window at home wood ski resort Lake Tahoe with my $12 in hand and the guy at the window said”Get that toy outta here ,well never let those things on our mountain”.well I was totally bummed I couldn’t ride the mountain that day(until after hours when I backhilled it.)but I knew someday that guy would eat his words!Thanks you guys for shredding at boreal ,I knew snowboarding would prevail and it’s it’s guys like ken block and Danny that continue to innovate into new directions that make me want to keep on livin!

Awesome! Dan Davis is too cool! Camp Woodward PA was one of my sons favorite vacation weeks at BMX many years ago. Beautiful country land and Amish for neighbors. Glad to see they’re expanding! Awesome video, you guys have the best toys, hands down!

So glad you did another vid with the x3, I noticed you have the “pre-runner” rear bumper on it, should get the pre runner front too lol I know the Apache LT tracks are specifically for snow, but the Apache 360’s are more “all around” tracks for dirt and stuff. I wonder how well the lt’s do in dirt? Also, I think you should look up rock blockers, they make some bad ass fender flares I think would go amazing on your x3

I used to live in Sac, and Boreal was always the go to mountain when winter hits. It was a smaller hill, but their park was always amazing. They were open till like 8PM or something like that, so you could night-board too. Great vid, cheers!

OMG I love that track system! I am a loyal Polaris Sportsman atv user and purchaser, I’m thinking I might have to convert! We are quad users, Can Am is realy listing to what consumers want and need. I just want a quad that will get me and my stuff safely into the winter wilderness to camp and back home. Winter camping ROCKS!

About Gym 5, Wat does it take to shut down so much of a city like San Francisco?
just posted a similar question. in awe as to how much power it must require to shut down large sections of these major heavily populated cities.
@@djbis I think i can tell you EXACTLY how much "power" it takes. 650 hp, according to the text at start of the video.
And a funny thing i noticed, the ones in London, and Mexico, are the only ones where we see a buch of citizens or tourists. In all the others, pretty much just see people who were involved in the actual production process
Just like any film production....lots of money and a permit from the city. And insurance.
In the Gymkhana Files, they said that yes, it is their benchmark and most of the city was offered to them. They didn't even ask to close the bridge, the city offered it.

I loved gymkhana 5 for the massive jump drift. If you could do it again, would have considered doing a gap jump from one barge to the next? Maybe even a jump drift over the water from barge to barge??

Can-Am giving Ken the Maverick seems like a pretty huge gift but when you consider how much it would cost them to film a commercial like the montage at the end, it probably saved them quite a bit of money

I got lucky a couple years ago and got my dream truck a 2014 Raptor. I absolutely love it and I’m grateful that I have it. If I could afford to do any upgrades or custom work I would. In my head it’s all set up with every street legal(and maybe a few illegal on the DL) Pre-runner mod I can get my hands on. A rack like that and a matching Polaris RZR 1000 turbo S with tracks only on the SXS. Design the rack to either fold away or have pins I can pull to take it off when not in use leaving behind something that looks similar to the Shelby Raptor chase rack. Both in a satin white and a gray similar to the color of a Primer gray. And enough light to make it look like mid day at midnight!!! With a subtle devious red glow, like it’s a creepy monster stocking the Highways and trails. All just pipe dreams, I can’t even afford the cheapest RZR these days. Or to make any changes to my Truck. At least I have it. Love all your toys Mr Block, best wishes from WV.
How to get free product testing if you make accessories for things with an engine:
1. Ship to Hoonigan
2. Include note "This is a prototype, please be gentle"
3. Leave it with Ken Block for some time. He'll have some weird idea and beat the hell out of it

Because I am used to bright-orange, el-cheapo tie-down straps on my ATV, it looked like the Mav wasn't connected to the truck! I see the black straps underneath, typical Ken Block, looks awesome and works well.
