I believe Marwan Ayman (lead vocalist here, from Cairo) is 19! If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. The Bass Gang previously did all their work with green screens since they live all over the globe (Cairo, Czech Republic, US). This is the first time they met in person -- except for Marwan, who couldn't get his visa approved. They filmed his part in the desert, and filmed Peter Barber/Bobby Bass/Tomi P in the Czech Republic. Peter Barber is a popular YT reactor with his own channel. Last Valentine's Day they did a collaboration with Home Free's Tim Foust (Hooked on a Feeling) that is just amazing. Loved this!
The Bass Gang is an awesome group! The three "back-up" singers are all bass singers too and they were doing all the back ground bass stuff, as well as the high stuff too! They are all incredible and have their own strengths. Seeing as it's Halloween season, you might wanna check out "Hide and Seek" by them and Lauren Paley. Another really good one I love is their version of "Mad World"! You guys should definitely check them both out! Great reaction!!
Oh yes, I concur! _Hide_ _and_ _Seek_ is good and very topical, while _Mad_ _World_ is my absolute favourite BG release so far. The other solid option would be to carry on with the current sequence: Tomi's _Be_ _Prepared_ is next, then Peter's _Gaston,_ then whatever Bobby's going to do. Since Marwan wasn't able to join them in the Czech Republic 😞they've created a through thread involving the lamp to explain his vocal presence but physical absence. I like that they put that level of thought into the videos! I also like that _Arabian_ _Nights_ was filmed in the Sahara...

As far as " Hide and Seek" goes, I would also recommend checking out her solo cover (performed in the stairwell of her apartment building), and her collaboration with Voiceplay. Voiceplay and The Bass Gang both approached her to collaborate with them on this song after hearing her version.

Tomi the one with the short hair on the sides is about 6'4" or more and he does Scar's part in Be Prepared. The next one after that Peter the one with no curls doing Gaston. The one yet to come out is A Friend Like Me. Marwon the one singing here couldn't get a visa between countries so they have him 'magically' in the lamp. He does a green screen appearance in Gaston.

There isn't as much of a rivalry between these a cappella groups as people like to think. They are all good friends and each group has their own niche. Lot of people are fans of more than one group and like different groups for different situations or types of songs. The Bass Gang is four bass singers with amazing ranges. Tim Foust from Home Free has collaborated on two of their songs - Hooked on a Feeling and We Don't Talk About Bruno.
If you do Hooked On a Feeling by the Bass Gang and Tim Foust I think you'd get a kick out of following it up by Peter Barber doing his own reaction to it. (Peter's the one on the right here.) His reaction was the first time he's seen the finished product and, as a professional opera singer, he gives a trained vocalist's point of view.
So... The lead singer here is Marwan Ayman (19 years old! 😱), and he does NOT sing all the parts. The Bass Gang is a group, and the other three are Tomi P, Bobby Bass and Peter Barber. The latter three met for the very first time last month in Czech Republic; Marwan should have been there as well, but he saw his visa canceled at the last minute (allegedly, he couldn't convince the Govt's officials that recording professional videos for TH-cam is a "working reason"). Anyway, they are with good reason the 4th "member" of the "QUADRIfecta of the a cappella world", the other three being, in no particular order, Pentatonix, Home Free and Voiceplay. This is also the first instalment of their "May the Bass be with you - vol. 3" series. The second has been "Be prepared" (from "The Lion King", and the third "Gaston" (from "Beauty and the Beast"). The 4th one is due within days. They're the youngest of the four, and had to overcome the difficulties of living at the four corners of the world. Theur style is quite unique, and their vocal capabilities are just exceptional. 🙂 Check some of their past videos... Like "Yellow flicker beat", or "Mad world", or "Emperor's new clothes", or whatever else you'd like to. Of theirs, I recommend "The Great Movie Medley" (tribute to the music of John Williams), Disney Princess Medley (featuring the ladies of Voctave), Disney Hero and Villain Medley (featuring the men of Voctave), Somewhere (from "West Side Story"), and "Someone Like You" (from Jeckyll and Hyde). Peter Hollens does a lot of different stuff. I recommend "Shendoah" (from the film of the same name), "Misty Mountain" (from "The Hobbit", featuring Tim Foust from Home Free), "Disney Hero and Villains Medley", and "Disney Sidekicks Medley" and "Les Miserables Medley (with his wife). @@janhankins911 Thanks for the suggestions. 🙂 I see that many of these a cappella groups end up covering the same stuff 😃, but here there are also some things I haven't seen covered yet, especially n the Voctave stuff. And it's interesting to see the different takes that every group has of the same song (for example, "Far over the Misty Mountains cold" as is in the movie vs as Tim and Peter do it vs as Geoff Castellucci does it). Not to judge which one is best, mind it, but to see what differences in the take, the arrangement, the vocal performances, and so on. I'm pretty sure they're all good. 🙂

I think they have 20+ songs together and each one of them have there own bass singer TH-cam that they release videos that they made. Marwan had a wonderful version of grim ginning ghosts (from the haunted mansion) and you will see there that YES he can do it all by himself.. he just may need 19 copies of him self in some instances .. and yes they are all fans of Geoff and Tim Foust this set of vol 3 has a lot of higher notes but in the background you can hear a ton of Bass notes if you listen. also do not be suppressed if any or all of the 4 of them respond to your reactions.. they have been known to do it

They are seriously all total menaces in the vocal department, and each video they do someone does the lead, and usually they are the ones to arrange that video as well. Marwan is actually I believe 19 now, but when they started doing this, he was I think 16? Young anyway, and he's seriously talented. They all are. They all also have their own channels, and they're fantastic. I hope you watch all of their vids, because they are worth it.

You'll get a much better idea of just how low everyone can go - except for Lauren, who goes in the opposite direction.
