I’m gonna be real. Speaking from a POV of getting older and transitioning to the reality of doing so- I needed this album. A beautiful reminder to never lose that light and embrace your passions.
@@agh2002sexy redd is an embarrassment to black women, that’s not a good thing, she is used to mock black culture and a poster child for the wolf to believe that’s how all black women act
wish ppl stop saying this no.. i understand what ppl are saying yes he did get a lil vulnerable but on the level of mr morale no lol good album BUT not as in depth
@@thedivinemessenger Yes of course he didnt get as vulnerable and deep as kendrick but everyones experience is different and this is him being vulnerable on things in his life or that happened in it just like kendrick was and they both tried to find themselves and accept themsleves on their albums. This is just what i think but others could think otherwise
Sticky is culture, you just have to get it. It’s him making of like 04 crime mob, franchise boyz type of music. That NOLA dirty south with heavy instrumentation like horns and drums. It’s really just a feeling, i get it
It's so different yet so simmilar... You feel like you're hearing his older albums' sounds but it's all brand new. And the meaning behind each song is much deeper than CMIYGL, it's not lyrics enhancing the production scenario, it's quite the opposite. I needed an album like this.
Hey Jane kinda reminds of a life of the party but Tyler’s own version of it. I LOVE IT! (Tyler was in the studio when Kanye was making life of the party so I wonder if there was some inspiration from it) Great track list and aoty in my eyes rn
bro sticky is actually insane best first listen to a song I've had in ages. I get the sexyy red hate but she did her thing, glo was also hard on that beat drop, and wayne delivered the best feature on the album in like 6 bars. standing like ovation on business, occupation dripping condensation we in whisper conversations that beat is also insane and tyler raps very well across it and it's switches
Another great album from Tyler. Didn't expect it to be personal, it was nice to see him getting introspective. The tracklist is pretty consistent in terms of even the weaker tracks (I Killed You, Judge Judy, Sticky) still being decent/good. As to the sound, i wish it was a bit more hardcore, and experimental, so that this album would be more distinct from his other projects, but even then i thoroughly enjoyed the production. I think it's shaping up to be my top-3 album of the year
Its gonna take awhile to fully digest this album the same way that igor was. I do think it isnt better than CMIYGL or Igor on a initial listen but i think this album is more on the introspectiveness, the writing, and understanding what tyler is trying to say here.
@@okluminous566I would say it's better than CMIYGL and Flower boy on initial listen. But, it's gonna take more time to marinate to see if it as strong as, or better than Igor. This is almost identical to when Igor released, because a lot of fans weren't really feeling Igor upon initial listen. 💯
Only recent album i can compare CHROMAKOPIA with is RIGHT PLACE WRONG PERSON... Would love to see your reaction to that one. It has been stuck in my head for months. Not many artists are doing it like them.
By far my least favorite NGL, First full on skip on a Tyler album in years IMO, Song doesn't really go nowhere musically, The melody got kinda boring for me and the minute of moaning sounds in my ear at the end wasn't exactly pleasant lol
tyler just havin fun with sticky he always be fucking around out sexyy red and the other female rappers. i think sticky shows a lot of these female rappers potential they just need better direction from better producers
Always grateful for you guys and your dedication and continuous hard work. Since 500 Subcribers when I first started watching and listening to you guys, the quality and quality hasn’t dipped whatsoever. Feel better Ant and really appreciate you guys for all that you do 🙏🏼❤
The production on Chromakopia might be my favorite in Tyler's catalog. It feels like a more refined version of the sounds he developed in Flower Boy and Igor. Its such a fun listen. I'll need more time to digest it since I listened to the album on the way to/from work. I disagree with Lu about this album having skips. Its one of the most consistent track lists I've heard in awhile.
Had such a beautiful first listen this morning. To me it seems like Tyler's really been struggling between his career/achievements vs settling down/growing a home. Outstanding production on all fronts - only song I don't feel the need to return to is Balloon. He's dropped 4 classics in a row imo
I feel like he is colouring in the monochrome aesthetic with the paint of his catalogue. Wolf, Flower Boy, Igor, CMIYGL are projects I can really hear within this album.
Sticky was fun but weak for the album, judge Judy was beautiful (to me) and the vocals didn’t detract at all, the album for me was an instant hit. I’d love to see this album get more and more love over the next year or few.
I feel the same about Judge Judy . Tyler has brought weird vocals to the table for years, although it may have had some odd vocals, I enjoyed them. I don’t think they were weak by any means, and the chorus was insanely catchy for me.
Sticky is A FUCKING BANGER and has probably the best production in the entire album, is like a buffed Juggernaut, and a crazy Wakaflocka trap drill banger, with the Blood on the leaves like Horns
