I haven't watched it yet - but I will make an effort to watch Fear itself on camera and purhaps upload the FULL reaction to Patreon. I understand some of you don't want to deal with Patreon and I don't wish to force it - however, with my schedule it's impossible to fit Fear itself into the schedule entirely. So this may be the best I can do. I hope it's okay with you guys and I hope you enjoy the reactions.
Now that I've seen your upcoming schedule on your twitter, I would personally swap in Fear Itself for I Fall to Pieces if there are schedule issues. It's still your choice at the end of the day of course, just giving my thoughts on the matter. :)
Ah, but Warren, in Victorian London there was a lot of smog - so maybe even less sunlight than today due to the pollution? Also, the Victorians tended to keep to the shade, and cover up away from the sun - they were very into being pale actually. oh, after all these years, I've just realised why Spike is so pale and Angel isn't - which I always found ridiculous. Why isn't Angel paler? ( They seemed to do paler makeup on him in season 1 and maybe 2? But then abandoned it.). I mean, Ireland is just as grey and rainy as England. I DO agree that we get a fair bit of sun here! Depending on what part of England you are in - but not compared to many other places. So yeah, I now realise that the reason Spike is so pale as a vamp, is not cos he's English - it's because he's Victorian!
LOL Joss thought that about his cheek bones :) In season 2 of Buffy, Joss was complaining to James about his character being so popular ( not what Joss had intended, cos y'know, evil shouldn't be popular). And James was like " well you made me look cool, you gave me this bleach blond hair and the leather coat, [... the amazing settings, the great lines - something like that]" . Joss: "But those damn cheekbones!" and something along the lines of 'you'll always get any girl'. James thought at the time (but pretty sure he didn't say?) - 'but I'm a dirt poor actor trying to get by, and your a successful genius director/producer!' Hm, rather interesting considering not having chiseled cheek bones was no barrier to Joss.
Issues? Come on. Joss constantly casts handsome men in major roles in his shows and movies. He particularly has a thing for tall, dark and handsome (but they can also be tall, blond and handsome, medium height and dark and handsome, medium height and blond and handsome... as long as they have great jawlines and muscles). It's one of the most constant things with him (just like liking to cast British people, or having small bubbly energetic pretty women, nerdy adorkable pretty women and nerdy guys among his characters). David Boreanaz wasn't someone he took a shine on immediately - it was the casting director who convinced Joss to hire him - but the guy clearly adores and constantly casts actors like Nathan Fillion and Alexis Denisoff. He cast Tahmoh Penikett in Dollhouse after watching BSG because, in Joss' own words, he had a mancrush on him. He cast Chris Hemsworth in Cabin in the Woods before Chris Hemsworth was all that famous, and pushed for him to be in Marvel movies (CITW also has another hunk, Jesse Williams). And I've just read an article about the casting for Agents of SHIELD where Mo and Jed say they saw something special in Brett Dalton's audition tape which was one of the many they got from New York, so they showed it to Joss, and he watched it and simply said "Hire him!" Angel is not be Joss' favorite character (though let's not forget he wrote great episodes for him like Becoming part 1, Amends, Spin the Bottle... actually, I think he writes him better than Greenwalt, though not as good as Minear, but no one writers Angel as good as Minear!), but you can't tell me Mal Reynolds is not his favorite! And whatever James may think, Joss clearly loves the character of Spike and wrote him wonderfully. (It should be noted that Joss was the one who wrote/re-wrote most of Spike's dialogue in some of Spike's best episodes even when he wasn't credited - he and Marti both re-wrote a lot of scripts without writing credits.) I think that Joss wasn't as big a fan of Angel as a character as he is of, say, Buffy or Spike or Willow, but that's more about Angel's persona than his looks.
FrakkinToaster Luvva I didn't mean it in a bad way but when he says things like "I didn't know how to write Angel because those type of guys would beat me up", yeah there are some issues there. Because Angel is about as far as you can get from that guy.
FrakkinToaster Luvva It honestly baffles me when some people accuse Whedon shows of sexism for "objectifying" the attractive female cast members, when really they do a lot more to showcase the male actors' beauty. Angel has _so_ many gratuitous shirtless scenes, and even when he leaves Buffy they get just Riley and Spike to take over for him.
I'll always be disappointed that they didn't go further with the daylight ring, except for that one "Angel" episode. They should've kept it going for at least four more episodes if not the rest of the season. It would've been interesting to see how they lived like The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. Or even better, just one vampire having a daylight ring.
Just wanted to say... I really like the way you continually pause the episode to talk about different things you have noticed or watched. Please keep doing that (and do it more!). The one thing I hate about other reaction channels is that something happens, the reactor then talks about it but talks right over the next scene and misses stuff. It's frustrating to watch. Please keep doing it this way. Also, you're very perceptive. I like the way you picked up on Kathy's passive aggressiveness straight away and also you were onto Parker very early too. Lastly - please please please do all episodes. It sucks when reactors only do selected episodes - especially when it comes to Buffy - a show that is widely acknowledged in the industry and by critics as one of the best shows ever. It's worth your time. Thanks for your enjoyable vids!
another fab reaction! I absolutely loved your reactions to: vamp Harmony, seeing Spike in all his awesomeness again, and your "playa-dar" going off with regards to Parker and your immediate loathing of him at 14:30, when he reveals he was just out for a good time and didn't care for how Buffy felt.... good stuff girl! keep the good stuff coming!
I love that the metaphor of Angel losing his soul after sleeping with Buffy was played out again with Buffy and Parker, but in a more real worldy kind of way. This show is so freaking smart. Also, was that Buffy/Spike fight scene shot at UCLA? It looks like it.
Oh Anya. You lovable, quirky lamb you. This season gets a bad rep from some fans (simply because other seasons blow it out of the water (and that is all I'm saying)), but there some wonderful gems in it. Anya, is one of them.
Season 4 is, imo, the worst season of Buffy, but the worst season of BTVS is still miles ahead of most shows. Season 4 wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great, and most seasons of BTVS are great. It really says a lot about the overall quality of the show that a season that was just mediocre is enough to land it on the bottom tier.
1:46 - Maybe Buffy should wear a choker or something to cover up that scar. Y'know, like the kind that ASR likes to wear...wait...one...minute...RUN FOR THE HILLS! SHE'S A VAMPIRE!
It’s a shame about there being no “Fear Itself” and no “Beer Bad”. I can understand the latter, I guess, but there are some definite reaction-worthy parts to it but the former is brilliant and important to the season arc. Your channel, your rules though. Great reaction to this one, especially Spike’s appearance. Looking forward to “In the Dark” and thanks so much for doing these.
Hello, just wanted to say i've been a buffyverse fan since it first aired on tv, i decided to rewatch it this quarentine. i'm loving your reactions (i know you finished this a while ago but still), really loving your reactions and the way you noticed things, i reacted the same way when spike came on screen!, thanks for this you're adorable
That was a really fun episode! With some really good music, unlike the previous episode. The fight was a nice callback to the first Buffy/Spike fight ever, in School Hard. But it's not surprising that Parker thought Spike was Buffy's ex boyfriend - anyone would think that witnessing their conversation without knowing the context! They totally sounded like two exes bitching at each other! LOL Also, some moments in that fight looked interesting. Pause the video at 15:40... I'm not saying anything, I'm just sayin'. :D
I like to imagine the writers have a dart board of character names on it, and when they can't think of which side characters should be in an episode, they throw the darts to see where they land. And they landed on Spike and Harmony. Then someone probably laughed and said, "Wouldn't it be funny if they were dating?" And it was so absurd they just had to do it. Oh, and the angry puppy bite mark was from Angel. :( She's literally carrying the scars of that relationship with her.
This episode is one of my favorites for the visual direction. I love the visual of Xander's juice box scene and the final scene with the three girls on the three different paths is just beautiful. I have to agree with everyone who is sad that your are not reacting to "Fear Itself". It isn't one of my favorites but I enjoy more and more with every rewatch I do.
Sucks you were told not to react to Fear Itself, but I still hope you enjoy it. And yeah, Spike being back is most welcome, he's my favorite character. :)
that scnene with her alone in the bed is meant to give us flashbacks and I love it, it works. It´s the same sheets and she´s sitting uo the same way like she did in innocence
If ye've never heard of Bif Naked (featured band in this episode) she's like Gwen Stefani if Gwen didn't sell out prog-punk band No Doubt and turn into a pop princess like Christina and Britney, she's a Buddhist or something and has some nice ink.
There are some pretty great songs in this episode. (Great way to wash out the Cher from the previous one.) Aside from Bif Naked, there's also Devil Doll ("Faith in Love") and Dollshead ("It's Over It's Under").
It would have been interesting to have had Christina Ricci guest star in an episode with Harmony following the relationship between the 2 actresses in Adams Family and Adams Family values
Only because you are ahead and I am beyond, but how great was it to get your wish at 18:06. I was an Angel fan as well..... great pickup on Parker you have a good sense for that, sorry it has to be that way. Also, spot on with the analysis of Buffy's relationships. Glad you like Harm as a vamp.....
I don't want this comment to annoy you in any way (and thanks for continuing to post your reaction videos) - so far I think your friends judgement has been pretty good but I've got to say if I was making a list "Fear Itself" would have been an absolute essential for season 4. It's such an important episode in terms of character motivation and development. Beer Bad is definitely a good one to skip in editing because it's universally the lowest ranked Buffy episode. But you've probably already watched it so what's done is done. I just have to make sure your friend included Restless (the season 4 finale) on the must watch list!
Originally there was a line in the script where Buffy said "I kept telling myself I was over Angel" during that end conversation with Willow, which is why she jumped in there with Parker so "quickly", but it was cut out. In retrospect, the writer of the episode wishes she'd kept it in because of the fan outcry against Buffy seemingly "tarnishing" her memory of Angel. I get that, because I'm a Bangel shipper for life, but Angel left her. Buffy can do what she wants, doesn't mean she deserves to be treated like trash.
Crossover episode. Upon the original airing I wasn't sure if Parker was full of "lines" or if it was bad acting or perhaps even bad writing on the part of the character. I was so glad it was "lines." Buffy falling for it didn't make sense because there was a line at the end of the episode she said to Willow saying, "it was all about Angel." Taking that out made her seem like a starry-eyed schoolgirl. The third great Spike entrance. SPOILER Did anyone else ever notice that Spike never has a bad entrance or exit from either Buffy or Angel? END SPOILER "i'll call you" is the epic blow-off clue. Even Angelus threw that phrase in Buffy's face. SPOILER Not problem with the skipping of 'Beer Bad' or even 'Fear Itself,' although I would have loved to see a certain reaction to a certain Parker moment at the end of 'Beer Bad' END SPOILER Thanks for these. I love them.
Interesting observation in the first spoiler bit! I was wondering if we shoudl start using rot13 so we can mention - or eeven have long discussions - about spolers with no risk. It was used by fans on Mark Watches , just go to rot13.com to write or read the code, if you're interested. I know I say this as someone who hasn't been commenting for ages. My fluctuating mental states affect whether I get into commenting or not.
What is your review order based on? Did someone give you a list of specific episodes to review? If you're reviewing the more popular episodes, you could've skipped Living Conditions and reviewed Fear Itself (the latter is way more important to the themes of this season). Nevertheless, thank you for posting these reactions so frequently. It's fun getting to see someone discover this series for the first time.
12:39 Never noticed that they messed up Spike's necklace prop. First it has this big f*cking gem, then the gem is gone, but after he takes the necklace off, next thing you know he has the necklace on again (without the gem). haha
I was looking forward to this one, and am SO GLAD that you were completely unspoiled! You had the expected Spike freak-out; and the enjoyment of Vampire Harmony was cool (and earned - Mercedes does so well with a much-expaned role). And I hadn't really thought about your reaction to Anya's return ahead of the video, but it was really fun. And it was nice, and impressive, that you were so suspicious of #$?!@##$% Parker. (My hatred of him is hard to express... especially politely.) Great one!
Fun fact since you're a Charmed fan too, the song that plays when Parker and Buffy kiss was in a Season 2 episode of Charmed. And i think the episode was Leo and Piper centric too.
But, "Fear Itself" is an absolute best of season 4! Can you tell us what other episodes you'll be skipping? just so you don't skip another big one. Cool reaction otherwise :)
I really wished you didn't skip episodes, ep 4 and 5 are fantastic, but well... Mercedes McNab (Harmony) and James Marsters (Spike) have a fantastic chemistry together. It's so much fun to watch their interactions, but their relationship is (if Spike and Dru's wasn't already) something to observe very closely to understand what is the definition of a relationship for Spike
Fear, Itself is pretty good. Beer Bad is....well I know it has it's fans but still. I'm not a fan of many of the Tracey Forbes written episodes except for that one episode coming up which i think is cool
Oh but! ...... SPOILERS in case After How Reacts hasn't watched these 2 eps yet ............ Anya in a bunny suit and Giles with a chainsaw are so awesome!! I also really like that the demon is so tiny and the concept behind the episode. I much prefer Fear Itself to Living Conditions if I had to choose - though I enjoyed ep 2 reaction and it has it's charms. However, not at all surprised that Beer Bad is being skipped. I expected that.
okay I had to watch this just for her reaction to spike since she really love that vampire, also when this aired I was just 15 and all the girls. said Buffy deserves, this every girl at school hated Buffy. Also when I went to Uni later Buffy should have been smarter, Lads & girls each just wanted to sleep with each other with no commitments.
" Just feels like a line. I dunno, do we trust this guy guys?" You are very perceptive about Parker early on - which bodes well for your relationship choices! This is me commenting as I watch, so on with the rest now. The comments are gonna be added to edited comment here as I watch ( yeah I love this ep and guessing you will). I like that you like vamp Harmony. I love her. Your reaction to Spike's appearance, is of course adorable. "But he has a reflection!" - Lolz . That was a bit of a weird one. I'm sure you know that not only vampires are douchebags - especially since douchebags exist in real life :) Amusing though. "So it's kinda like, a daylight ring" - is that something from Vampire Diaries? Do they frickin nick EVERYTHING from the Buffyverse?! I mean in the first episode of Angel, you let slip how they nicked his up the sleeve stake system on Vamp Diaries. Sheesh. I had heard it was very derivative of Buffy, but I hadn't realised that they nicked things so blatantly. Cumon, think of some new stuff VD writers! It hurts my heart every time I watch this and hear Buffy say "did I do something wrong?' And then she apologies to Parker at the end of that conversation! He's SO manipulative,, making it seem like Buffy should've known that it was meant to be a casual one night stand - ugh, the worst abusers are always experts at making the other person feel like they are in the wrong. Not saying what he did was actually abuse - very dickish, dishonest, manipulative - not surprising he shares traits with abusers. I've never thought about that actually, but like, no-one should ever get into a long term relationship with Parker if he ever wants one later in life! "Did you play her?! Did you actually play her!?" "Shatter his ego" - great reactions! "It's ok, just chop his fingers off - LOL. Well, she mighta done that considering Spike SHOWS HER the Gem of Amara on his finger! I love that Spike can be such an idiot. (But it is a kinda necessary plot point from the writers, to make Spike a fool - if Buffy doesn't know that the Gem of Amara is a ring - don't forget , unlike in Vamp Diaries, no-one knew this - then he could've killed her.) "Did you bruise the boy?" - I hate Parker so much, it would been kinda hilarious if she had bruised his dick in a vice like grip with those slayer muscles! You are right about Xander and why no broken bones after being thrown like that by Spike - the violence on the show was often very unrealistic - I think it was the TV standards of the day - this is way before Game of Thrones or the Walking Dead! :) I love, in a heart breaky way, the three unhappy/jilted women walking at the end of the ep. I really wish though that the writers had not had Buffy quite so naive as to think she could maybe make it work with Parker. I wish she was more clear straight away what a total dick he is. Or in Willow speak 'poop head'. I love this episode cos of the whole Spike storyline and Vamp!Harmony. But Parker just puts a downer on the whole thing. :(
The reaction to Angel "In the Dark' is tomorrow , Sunday? Woot!! Awesome. I was hating the thought of waiting a week - and since you've seen it already, you'll know why :) We are spoilt this weekend
to be fair the day light rings on the vampire diaries comes from the books which came out in 1991 long before Buffy As a show they are very derivative of Buffy but that isn't one of them
@@x_aj_x1157 Ah ok, thanks for the info. I didn’t actually know when the books came out, and most of the time I forget that show was based on books anyway, so assumed this was another nicked thing. Very cool that you are discovering ASR’s Buffy reactions 2 years after this one was posted - or are you doing a reactions rewatch?
Well, Spike is on a rebound. There's a nice parallel actually, he and Buffy are both trying to get over being dumped by their great loves, and engaging in some... not so great relationships with pretty random people. It's just like in Becoming, where they had both been screwed over by their lovers, and Buffy was yelling at Spike for being just interested in getting his girlfriend back instead of the fate of the world - which is the same thing that Xander earlier accused her of: "you just want your boyfriend back" (except it was pretty unjustified in the latter case.)
Wanting Buffy to punch Parker square in the face and then leaving us without ever knowing the face you made when Buffy bonked him in the head (TWICE!) in Beer Bad?
A suggestion about the eps you do not react to. As the work is in the editing, you could turn on the camera for every ep and record. If you agree that it wasn't worth a reaction, delete the raw video. But if you react strongly to that ep, you would retain the option to edit and post. This would give you control over the reaction list, after the fact.
I think that's a really good idea. After all, if there's one show where every episode is worth reacting to, it's Buffy. Also, isn't it just as fun to see someone react to the weaker episodes? It's not like they're boring -- just less successful than the other episodes.
This is a brilliant idea! It means that even if the reactor doesn't have the time and energy to edit the reaction for every episode - they are the ones that get control over which episodes are reaction worthy, rather than someones else's list. Though still a bit tricky to judge whether to put the time into it, cos they don't know what's coming up. But if it were done this way, After Show Reacts may have decided that Fear Itself was more worth the work than Living Conditions, for example. I do find it weird when many commenters write comments as though the reactor knows what is in an episode they are skipping, as though they have motives or reasons for not choosing an episode - which of course they can't! Someone else is choosing, they can't have reasons, cos they have no idea of content. Torchwood Boy got criticised a lot for this on season 7 . I wasn't that thrilled at some of the episode choices/skips either - but I'm like - hold up people! You know someone else is choosing the list!! Stop having a go. :)I And I'm being way too verbose as usual. This is why I often don't comment. Once I start I can't frickin stop.
It's a good idea however it's more than just editing work. I get interrupted a lot when recording. I sometimes watch episodes in my PJs with my hair in a mess (not gonna record that) I also have a schedule that I want to stick to.
thanks soo very much for all of these buffy reactions this weekend :) I promise not to say anything. just a warning. season four has a lot of twists and turns.
So many great reactions, "awkward", "i'm having flashbacks" etc. @4:02 a good reason why I don't like Anya. @7.22 perfect time for Buffy to stake Spike in the back. NOT REACTING TO "FEAR ITSELF" BUT IT IS SOOOO FUNNY. ESP AT THE END.
Nope! Didn't trust Parker from the moment he showed up onscreen. I knew some guys like him in high school. Saw how they worked their charm on girls. Some would even tell the class how to pick up a girl AND in front of the teacher! Yep. I had a bunch of creeps in my school. Dude, you and Xander had the same reaction to Anya when she asked about their "relationship". Funny. And then SPIKE! LOL!!! Yes! But Buffy and Spike?....as a couple? NAH. As if. But at least the ring will go to Angel so YAY! But how will that turn out for Angel, if he wears it? Hmm. Great reaction. See ya on the next one! PEACE! - Yvette
Loving the Buffy reactions so far. I'm from the UK. But it looks like your reactions for S4 eps4 & 5 have been blocked from being viewed on copyright grounds by Fox. Hope you can get that sorted.
Aw, that is really generous of you!
You’re the best!
Now that I've seen your upcoming schedule on your twitter, I would personally swap in Fear Itself for I Fall to Pieces if there are schedule issues. It's still your choice at the end of the day of course, just giving my thoughts on the matter. :)
I fall to pieces was requested from a subscriber that has been amazing and supported since day 1 :P
Ah okay, gotcha. I was under the impression that all the episode picks were from your friend.
Being English, Spike probably barely saw the sun even when he was alive.
LOL!!
Awarriorstill 😂😂😭😭
As an english person; I agree lol
As an English person I disagree.
Ah, but Warren, in Victorian London there was a lot of smog - so maybe even less sunlight than today due to the pollution? Also, the Victorians tended to keep to the shade, and cover up away from the sun - they were very into being pale actually.

Harmony is so much better as a vampire than as a human. It's crazy.
More interesting, probably. "Better" is hard to say with Harm.
She got more screen time in this one episode than she had in the entire first 3 seasons lol
Your face just lights up when Spike appears :D :D
James Marsters jawline is unnatural and unfair. Like he was chiseled not born
LOL
Joss thought that about his cheek bones :)
In season 2 of Buffy, Joss was complaining to James about his character being so popular ( not what Joss had intended, cos y'know, evil shouldn't be popular). You picked up on poophead Parker very quickly. Good instincts!
I agree! I’m ashamed to admit my instincts were very poor and I liked Parker at first. Good on Shan for spotting the dirtbag right away.
“It’s fahkin spike!” - aftershowreacts, 2018
Spoh-oike.
“Buffy and Spike? No!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't know which line I love more, "And you with Harmony. What'd you do? Loose a bet?" or "And the amazing thing... still more romantic than Faith."
I absolutely love how happy you got to see Spike. I was waiting for it. 😁
Its fun to come back to old episodes and see some of your commentary. "Buffy and Spike!" lol
I love that Spike calls her "Harm".
That's a terrific nickname for a vampire.
Ugh. PARKER. He's the reason i love Beer Bad so much.
If you noticed Spike never lies to Buffy He is the most honest on the show
Gene Bateman You've seen season 6, right? He lies all the time.
Danyl Young he lies for love/lust then
@@GeneBateman1970 that's the same thing
"I never liked you anyway and you have stupid hair." lol Outright lie! haha the worst he's come up with.
For love? 😂😂
Harmony as a vampire was such a good character .

Thanks for your enjoyable vids!
Yeah, I appreciate that she doesn't talk over the next scene, I feel like pausing once or twice in an episode is fine, but don't do it more than that.
Great comment, I really agree with your first 2 points. I would wish for the last one - every episode - but not expect it.
another fab reaction! Spike is back!! Hooray!

I've been watching you reactions for 3 seasons and change now, and I've got to say: you're instincts are usually spot on. Wow.
"That's a line."
And with that, you have my subscription.
How does she not have 7.4 million subs?! I've watched all these shows (when they were new) and now I can't stop binge-watching these reactions!
You have great instincts about characters in this show. Parker, Larry and Cathy spring to mind.
Oh and the annoying one.
LOL
Also, some moments in that fight looked interesting. Pause the video at 15:40... I'm not saying anything, I'm just sayin'. :D
I like your reactions so much! You're super fun and so observant. Really perceptive.
And thus began Spike being a series regular, hooray!
Sucks you were told not to react to Fear Itself, but I still hope you enjoy it. And yeah, Spike being back is most welcome, he's my favorite character. :)
14:29 - Your angry face is the best!
you do that cute thing that some kids do when they got mad, when you press your lips together and kind of inflate your cheeks.
Thank you? :P
all of your reactions to spike are honestly adorable, oml?
Lots of screen time for Bif Naked. She's amazing. I went to her concert.
Before I start: I am guessing the thumbnail is when you see Spike? Let's see if I'm right!
Best reaction to seeing Spike again lol
Your reaction to seeing spike was awesome. I was waiting for you to see it all episode. Hope you enjoy the rest of the season.
"But I love Spike, bring him back!" Wish granted.
We all love Spike :)
Your reaction to Spike ❤ He has always been my favourite character in Buffy, Willow is a close second.
that scnene with her alone in the bed is meant to give us flashbacks and I love it, it works.
Vampire Harmony, honestly my favorite thing that happened in season 4 :D
Great Episode. The return of Anya, the return of Spike, and Bif Naked music featured throughout.
Willow saying "I don't need a diagramm" remembers me of the episode with Buffybot. Doesn't Buffybot say that she can make sketches? 😄
It would have been interesting to have had Christina Ricci guest star in an episode with Harmony following the relationship between the 2 actresses in Adams Family and Adams Family values
Vampire Harmony is a much better character then before she was a vampire.
SPOILER
Did anyone else ever notice that Spike never has a bad entrance or exit from either Buffy or Angel?
END SPOILER
"i'll call you" is the epic blow-off clue. Even Angelus threw that phrase in Buffy's face.
SPOILER
Not problem with the skipping of 'Beer Bad' or even 'Fear Itself,' although I would have loved to see a certain reaction to a certain Parker moment at the end of 'Beer Bad'
END SPOILER
Thanks for these.
The guy at the beggings shirt was the 80s trying to die but the 90s saying no
How is the campus suddenly empty during the fight lol
No 'Fear, Itself'. :(
Yeah, I'm surprised, it's the best Halloween episode, so good!
First it has this big f*cking gem, then the gem is gone, but after he takes the necklace off, next thing you know he has the necklace on again (without the gem). haha
I gotta say I am a huge fan of vamp Harmony.
I wish you would do beer bad cause that’s one of my all time favorite Buffy episodes! “Nothing can defeat the penis!”
I never got that when do they have time to feed harmony blood
U read Parker to filth seconds into this episode and for that i stan u!
stupid, sexy, steamy spike :) I frickin love this episode :D
I was looking forward to this one, and am SO GLAD that you were completely unspoiled! You had the expected Spike freak-out; and the enjoyment of Vampire Harmony was cool (and earned - Mercedes does so well with a much-expaned role). And I hadn't really thought about your reaction to Anya's return ahead of the video, but it was really fun. And it was nice, and impressive, that you were so suspicious of #$?!@##$% Parker. (My hatred of him is hard to express... especially politely.) Great one!
Great episode and reaction video! :D
Fun fact since you're a Charmed fan too, the song that plays when Parker and Buffy kiss was in a Season 2 episode of Charmed. And i think the episode was Leo and Piper centric too.
5:10 my absolute favorite Spike reveal reaction ever!
You are so cute... best reactions
No Diggity i like both those episodes; they are really good fun!
“Tree pretty... fire bad... fire angry!” Lol
Oh but!
Beer Bad is also a candy episode for me. I love it.
Your angry face at Parker
Already watched these on Patreon, just stopping by to drop my likes on your vids ;) best $7 I've ever spent! x
Thank you :)
Hope you're gonna react to the Angel episode "The Ring" :)
Btw your reaction to seeing Spike again is my favourite thing :D
I'd like the Ring as well also we have to see her reaction to I've Got You Under My Skin
This is exactly what I did, too. Support crew.
You know a player when you see one very quick, it like you got douche bag radar lol
I had to rewatch your reaction to this after just watching another reactor (Riley Lynn) who didn't see through Parker's lines.
okay I had to watch this just for her reaction to spike since she really love that vampire, also when this aired I was just 15 and all the girls. said Buffy deserves, this every girl at school hated Buffy.
(But it is a kinda necessary plot point from the writers, to make Spike a fool - if Buffy doesn't know that the Gem of Amara is a ring - don't forget , unlike in Vamp Diaries, no-one knew this - then he could've killed her.)
"Did you bruise the boy?" - I hate Parker so much, it would been kinda hilarious if she had bruised his dick in a vice like grip with those slayer muscles!
You are right about Xander and why no broken bones after being thrown like that by Spike - the violence on the show was often very unrealistic - I think it was the TV standards of the day - this is way before Game of Thrones or the Walking Dead! :)
I love, in a heart breaky way, the three unhappy/jilted women walking at the end of the ep.
It's next week sorry :( but it comes up on my patreon early if you're a pledger. :P
Ah! I see. Too skint at the moment. But might pledge on patreon next month.
to be fair the day light rings on the vampire diaries comes from the books which came out in 1991 long before Buffy
As a show they are very derivative of Buffy but that isn't one of them
@@x_aj_x1157 Ah ok, thanks for the info. I didn’t actually know when the books came out, and most of the time I forget that show was based on books anyway, so assumed this was another nicked thing.
Very cool that you are discovering ASR’s Buffy reactions 2 years after this one was posted - or are you doing a reactions rewatch?
5:08 - I'm so happy for you!
And why do I get the feeling that Harmony has given you ideas for lines to use for yourself now? ;D
Harmony, a vapid human becomes a vapid vampire.
Glad they didnt kill off Harmony. She became a pretty great character 😂
Your face is the best.
Why are Spike and Harmony hooking up?! Just...WHY?!
But upside: Stupid Sexy Spike is back!
No ‘Fear itself’? Damn
Wanting Buffy to punch Parker square in the face and then leaving us without ever knowing the face you made when Buffy bonked him in the head (TWICE!) in Beer Bad?
Awwwww you DID give us the Beer Bad reaction! I'm sorry, and thank you!
That's a very good idea.
I think that's a really good idea.
After all, if there's one show where every episode is worth reacting to, it's Buffy.
Also, isn't it just as fun to see someone react to the weaker episodes? It's not like they're boring -- just less successful than the other episodes.
I like this idea.
And I'm being way too verbose as usual. This is why I often don't comment. Once I start I can't frickin stop.
It's a good idea however it's more than just editing work.
I get interrupted a lot when recording.
I sometimes watch episodes in my PJs with my hair in a mess (not gonna record that)
I also have a schedule that I want to stick to.
Love your reaction !!! I cant wait to see your other reaction
thanks soo very much for all of these buffy reactions this weekend :) I promise not to say anything. just a warning. season four has a lot of twists and turns.
i looked up and saw your face at spike and harmony kissing. you looked funny
Yes. Part 1 of 2 in one of many Buffy/Angel Crossovers. And yes Harmony pretty much became more interesting. Spike is also a change up without Dru.
BNILES41 ssssh!
I think all Buffy fans can agree on one thing here ( correct me if I’m wrong )
Parker. Is. A. Jerk
So many great reactions, "awkward", "i'm having flashbacks" etc.
@4:02 a good reason why I don't like Anya.
@7.22 perfect time for Buffy to stake Spike in the back.
NOT REACTING TO "FEAR ITSELF" BUT IT IS SOOOO FUNNY. ESP AT THE END.
It may show up on Patreon :P
1:27 - 1:31 no one notices the red lipstick lmao
I love Harmony.
Buffy and Spike?.. No!..:)))))
PEACE! - Yvette
Dear people in the comment section I ´ll guess it must have been pretty hard not to take away any spoilers at 9:23 Therefore my respect! :)
Loving the Buffy reactions so far. I'm from the UK. But it looks like your reactions for S4 eps4 & 5 have been blocked from being viewed on copyright grounds by Fox. Hope you can get that sorted.
One must think why didn’t Angel and Spike look for the ring when they were evil together
