I also love Field's comment about how Blanchett always knows what's going on with everyone on set and would tell him if someone was feeling a little down and needed a break. It's a testament to how seriously she takes the responsibility of being the lead actor. Also a sign she cares for fellow workers of any film spectrum She's often spoke about how the lead role isn't about having the biggest part and the most lines but about setting the tone and setting an example. And her being a true movie lover is her choice to praise fellow women and rivals, having the obvious risk to splitt her votes. Final great thing is this actress who is involved in refugee solidarity movement convinced many to wore the blue ribbon. Not entirely true. Meryl Streep has two trifectas -- one in lead and one in supporting. Also, the 200 awards mark sounds impressive but most of these awards are regional. When it comes to the really important awards, Blanchett has achieved a lot but she is still far behind La Streep generally.

It doesn't mean the winners didn't do a good job, but how diverse is it for Tar, Banshees The Fablemans, and Elvis to come away with ZERO awards at The Oscars. It happened to The Power of The Dog last year. As an Australian, I am so proud of Cate. and here is the beauty of it we will see more stellar performances from her and she may not win every time. Some actors win an Oscar and it's really like winning the gold watch for retirement as you never see that actor again, let alone win another Oscar. Some Oscar winners never even get another phone call. When you think Cate didn't win for Elizabeth 1 because that was the era of Harvey Weinstein pushing his weight around in Hollywood and his actors and films got awards. Also, by now Cate could have had 5 Oscars. Often Oscar voters look at an actor like Jamie Lee Curtis and Brendon Fraser and think yes they have been kicking around for years, they've done the hard slog, and they deserve it.
