I totally understand when we don't see you here on TH-cam when you're not feeling great. I would be exactly the same. I've recently lost my Mum (93) and had other health problems within the family. They are thugs aren't they . I think I would always have wet wipes with me if I lived there. That must have been a big one that got you. I think they live on a diet of stolen junk food so they must get tummy problems 🤣

I can empathise witb you re the back pain, I've had a few bouts over the years and the doctor told me to keep moving and take antinflammatories. It's easy done with the back. I hope the pain settles soon. Your stitch-a-long is coming on nicely your sampler is fantastic, you will be glad to finish it. I'm interested in how your cardi turns out as I'm needing to knit myself a cardi too. I haven't tried drops Nord but used other drops yarn. Take care Tina Xx

We went to Cornwall at the beginning of April and did a fair amount of shower dodging! Didn’t have any trouble with seagulls, though - so swings and roundabouts! We did see Daphne Du Maurier’s house (from across the water), when we visited Fowey. I used to have frequent bouts of sciatica and once set it off by picking up a tea towel (no really, that’s all I did!) but then I’ve always thought that housework is bad for your health! I hope your redundancy goes well and there aren’t any financial shenanigans. I also hope that you find a new job which you really enjoy, with better pay, better conditions and an easy commute. Nothing wrong with “hermit mode” (I’m very partial to it, truth be told!) but I hope May holds a lot more jollification for you and that you are soon feeling better.

I have checked the Tincan knits site and they have changed the name to Flax sock . They also have a worsted one now so I think it's because the needles are quite large for a fingering 4ply yarn . I have used Drops Nord which is a thicker sock yarn . They are all free so you can take a look and choose which is best for your yarn 😃
You've gotten so close on your Long Dog. What an amazing accomplishment it will be. Well actually it already is an amazing accomplishment. Never two without three, redundancy, bird poo and hurt back. Now you'll only have good stuff. I'm not trying to be silly as I really am sorry about your redundancy and yes it is always very difficult to deal with. But I've had it happen before when an entire shop that I worked in shut down. It turned out to be the best thing that could happen to me as I took a secretarial course afterwards and ended up with a good job that lasted me 26 1/2 years right up to my retirement. Good luck my friend or as we say here in Québec, Merde!
Yikes-that seagull story sounds awful! So sorry about your job, and I hope you find something that you enjoy. Finally, backs are awful. I’ve had problems with mine for 30 years and between the pain, muscle weakness and limited movement, it’s frustrating. I am sending all the sympathy and healing energy to you.🌷🌼💐🌺🌸🪻
I'm so sorry you have been living with a bad back for so long . Frustrating is exactly what it is . Simple light tasks are impossible just because of the leaning forward and some chairs are impossible to tolerate. I hope you have found ways to control the pain and live the life you want . My husband has a health condition where he lives with pain so part of me is grateful and wants to remember this so I am able to understand and support him better. It's easy to forget what someone is feeling when it's not visible . Take care x

Yikes-that seagull story sounds awful! So sorry about your job, and I hope you find something that you enjoy. Finally, backs are awful. I’ve had problems with mine for 30 years and between the pain, muscle weakness and limited movement, it’s frustrating. I am sending all the sympathy and healing energy to you.🌷🌼💐🌺🌸🪻
I'm so sorry you have been living with a bad back for so long . Frustrating is exactly what it is . Simple light tasks are impossible just because of the leaning forward and some chairs are impossible to tolerate. I hope you have found ways to control the pain and live the life you want . My husband has a health condition where he lives with pain so part of me is grateful and wants to remember this so I am able to understand and support him better. It's easy to forget what someone is feeling when it's not visible . Take care x
