if i'm not mistaken, this song is about the cry of a woman about her love one going to battle. Hence the haunting cry of the alto (her delivery brought me to tears). Then transitioned to the battle. This performance is beatiful
This song actually is about creating the scenery of the North (Northern Luzon) of the Philippines, that's why it's called Scenes from the North. From the birds, to the winds, majesty of the mountains and the ancient grounds and such.
I'm interested in having my high school choir perform this. I have the sheet music for Chua-ay, but was wondering where you found the middle section, as the earthsongs publication does not include it. I would appreciate it if you could tell me how I could acquire it.
