It definitely is "the holy grail." In my opinion, you can't substitute the tactile feel of the negative and the fulfillment of loading, photographing, developing and scanning a film roll. It's the ultimate soul food!
Max & CJ, thank you for that interesting discussion. It is especially good to hear from a thoughtful artist about the connections between different ways to express himself. Max, there is another camera with an interesting history that it would be good to learn more about: the Pentacon 6. I hope that one day that may turn up in your feed.
I think at the end of your interview CJ was wanting to say that shooting with analog is more organic where digital is more clinical. I think the same applies to music, and that is what he was trying to express. I agree. Nice work Max.
Lovley collection! I was looking to buy that exact same Leicaflex in the camera store in Halmstad, Sweden a few years back. Such a beautiful camera but I couldn’t justify it at the time. Good to see it found a good home in the end 😊
I own an M6, A Fuji X-PRO3, A Hassy 501cm, and a Chamonix 4x5 45f2,. All you need now is a 4x5, lolol. Beautiful collection you have there. I see you are a Musician like myself (Saxophone).

He has one. It was shown quickly when they scanned through the entire collection. Maybe a 2.8F? I did not see the taking lens,, but it did have a light meter.

I just wonder if he knows that IR light is focusing elsewhere, because some of those pictures look out of focus to me.
probably, I don't think he goes looking for the camera manual after he acquires a new camera.
