I had an x100V and it was a lot of fun, but I only used it for vacation/travel, which I rarely do, so it was pretty much sitting on the shelf. I couldn't justify keeping it when the aftermarket prices were so crazy and it was a rare situation where I made money on selling a camera. I wouldn't fault your purchase if you got some great images and it spurred you on further with some of your creative endeavors.
lol I have basically an older version of your setup, a7c with 35mm 1.8, amongst other lenses, but the 35 basically lives on the a7c with a cinebloom and variable nd. I use it exclusively for video as my main photo shooter is the x100v. Got it back in 2022 I think, probably at the top of its hype, but I haven’t regretted it! It’s the everyday carry. I actually just used it for video for the first time during a short backpacking trip. I do mostly locked off static shots so the lack of IBIS wasn’t an issue, but if you’re bored, check my channel. I’m not a content creator, just a hobbyist in the creator field. But yeah, now I’m like.. x100vi… portable hybrid camera WITH IBIS and 10-bit recording… maybe I can sell the a7c AND a7iii I have laying around 🤷🏻♂️

I’ve considered selling my v for this camera but I always forget the last time I sold it I bought a canon r6 missed the v sold the r6 and bought it again . I’ve bought it 3 times lol . I also have 2 Sony a7iv’s . I think one major disadvantage that the a7c has is no flash ; that really comes in clutch for an edc .
I have to say that I don’t really miss the V. I’m really loving this camera but I have considered getting the Ricoh GRiii because of its size for edc.
I had basically the same experience. Bought the X100V because of the hype and had fun with it. But after some time I also sold mine. Luckily I was able to sell it for the same price I bought it, so didn't lose money.
But because of the X100V I got interested into the Leica Q system I bought the Q2M and right now ended up with the Q3. For now I'm happy, but still can't stop camera purchase xD
That's why currently a Nikon Zf also entered the collection. To justify all the cameras I also entered the YT I try my best to be better with every video.
FOMO is also real for me regarding camera stuff :D

Thanks for watching and the comment! I’ve also had my eye on the Q3. How do you like it? I had the Q2 and loved the image quality and using it.
@@AmesWay I really love it. I had now several cameras from Sony, Canon, Fujifilm and now Nikon and the Q3 is the camera, I love to hold, play around and use it. Also love the 60MP to crop massively :)
Also like the flip screen, although internet opinions goes wild on this topic :D
The only „disappointment“ for me personally is the AF. Not because I expected Sony or Canon level, but because it has technical a phase AF system and I hoped based on the alliance with Panasonic the Q3 AF should at least be on the level of the Lumix S5II, which is currently not the case.
But I still hope for firmware updates which will improve AF. Luckily Leica has a good record for firmware updates. Just recently they released a firmware update for the Q2! :)

@@adnmultimedia it was a very expensive camera and realized I wasn’t using it as much as I had planned to. One day I’ll get the Q3 but for now I ordered the x100vi
FOMO is real! I’ve experienced it myself, and still do. But I try to keep it under control, which is hard sometimes because I’m not getting any younger! 😂👍🏻👍🏻😂
