Giant Sulking Dog Hates Bath Time!! [Every Dog’s Worst Nightmare!!] We Tricked Him!

So we did it again! The 53kg houdini tries to escape and do a disappearing act but this time we were prepared and brought the big guns out! He fell to his old ways hiding in the same spot looking at the wall, "if you can't see me I can't see you'. We got Niko in on the action to tell him what's what. If you didn't already know, Niko the female is actually the alpha in this pack. She rules over Phil and tells him what to do or what not to do. Phil just listens as he's so chill even though he's much bigger
So we made a few changes
1.No water in the bath
2. No peanut butter bribe
3 A trap to lure him in (that failed)
4. A robe so he could shake and save our bathroom
5. His boss setting an example and having words with him whilst in the bath
Niko starts howling at him when he starts to cry in the bath, It's literally like she is telling him off!. Phil of course does his classic trying to hide behind Mia, he even asks Milo for help before trying to hide again! He shook over Mia and her reaction is priceless! He even pleas with her at one point to save him! He did escape twice but soon got back in of his own accord when he realised Niko was watching and his elaborate plan was foiled!
Phil smells really bad really quick! Just so you know, he goes to the groomers once a month to treat his coat and to thoroughly wash him. Unfortunately they have been shut since the lockdown here in the UK and so we have to take matters into our own hands. It was 6 weeks ago now he was last washed but no matter how hard we try the dirt sticks to him, His fur is very course and lost the self cleaning ability that they should have like Niko. He is a breed that shouldn't really need washing but because of his condition he needs it regularly. He is being treated and fingers crossed his coat gets better over time but it is a very long process.
