@@Giant_Guitars yeah but it has a plain white pickguard. I want to change it to Pearl Lloyd and do some customization on it but I just got it a few months ago and haven't played it much so I want to get a feel for it first before I start messing with it because right now it's really nice
Maaan you outta get a pink color plate for the invader so Patrick can get his props too! I love this so much, I have 2 Delonges, one surf green other graffiti yellow, and I have a deep admiration for SpongeBob. Which may seem weird since I’m 29 years old but I can’t help but admire how timeless SpongeBob is, it’ll never not be funny, and it did so without any dirty/vulgar/negative humor.
Just found your channel and this was rather humorous! I say take your time refinishing and repairing the original body to the graffiti yellow you so long for. you'll be so much happier you did. Also I am also becoming more and more curious about one pup guitars. Some day maybe...
I've been a Blink 182 for around 13 years at this point, and a Spongebob fan since I watched it as a kid in the early 2000s and honestly I never expected watching content of this quality on YT, I never expected to want a Bob Delonge Spongecaster because I didn't even knew this magnum opus could exist until today
surf green or seafoam green or anyhthing along those lines is my favorite... i'd hate to see it go yellow, but whatever ...it's your guitar, do whatever YOU want with it.
Fair! It's more the yellow is my favourite with this second so I feel if I'm taking the effort to refinish it I might as well choose my favourite, you know? But I'm so indecisive we'll not know until I do it
I love the color, and the case is beautiful. Sad there was damage, but it's pretty obvious you like modding guitars. it can be an addictive part of guitar collecting. All my guitars are drop D, love those power cords!
Now that Tom is back with Fender, it is rumored that they are going to rerelease the old strat signature. Might be able to get a yellow TD strat in a few months! The used 2000s models will tank in price also if that happens. Just some food for thought.
I also heard this. There was one particular big guitar store released them for pre-order online and quickly took them down after they messed up 😂😂 that paired with the paint cracks has changed this from being a guitar to put away and keep good to my guitar to mess with 😁😁
@@Giant_Guitars I support modding what you have to what you want. It will make you play it more. Also I’m guessing the new strats will have a paoferro board like the new hoppus basses they made. That seems to be the way things are going. Your neck is gorgeous, worth making the guitar body just as nice. Good luck with the project, looking forward to more videos.
I had a Tom Delonge before there was a Tom DeLonge. I converted my 1983 Fernandes Stratocaster into a 1 humbucker guitar and I used the invader. I was able to purchase a one humbucker pickguard.

I only have one strat, a newer Squier Affinity, so far the worst guitar I have, I have already added locking tuners, but now it has a broken ground on the trem and is noisy as hell, I got it a case so I don't look at it, I fear it is going to be a money pit and never play well. lol confessions of a guitar addict
