Within 2 months later I finally had my 5 MLB Nikke and could progress further in the game. Now I'm Christian and have quite a few friends in my church.

My synchro is at 284 right now. Once you get past the 200 wall, leveling ups slows down to a snails pace and you really need to save core dust as much as possible.
The best thing I could say about the 160 wall is to just throw everything at the standard banner and ignore the rate up one unless for a few circumstances. Since on standard, you can pick whoever you like and pilgrim are easier to get there throwing everything you got on standard was the thing I did when I hit my first 160 wall. And like New Year, she came to rescue the commander she also stabbed that 160 wall for me and now is level 310+ I grateful for it.

a year wow... thats some horror story. the 4% SSR rate or farming for mats is a cope, I have no idea how you were able to stick with it without seeing progress to your account.
I couldn't wrap my head around how you're still at that level a year in, but if you're playing with SRs no wonder why. You'll have a lot more progress and Nikkes to choose from if you stop prioritizing eye candy some of the time.
For anyone starting at this point, I would absolutely put Tia and Naga on your missilis wishlist. They're basically the bunny twins but in missilis instead of tetra. They're also ok standalone which I heard bunnies are needed together. I'd probably replace pepper even though she's a great healer. Just my rec tho

I started playing since the Nier Collab and hit the wall last week. I was able to get a few t9 gear from special interception which allowed me to slowly get strong enough to full clear SI modernia, chatterbox and that tentacle crab thing.

Here's another tip: exploit the 160 wall for your own benefit. How do you do it? You accrue resources: battle data, credits, core dust boxes, all towards making your push to 200 and beyond. The thing is, you do not need to rush breaking the 160 wall, since you still have to gain resources to get the five of your SSR Nikke to 200. That way, when you do break the wall, you will have enough resources to jumpstart your Nikke's levels.
There's no way to really exploit the wall though. Yeah you accumulate the boxes while you're stuck there, but there's no reason to stay there any longer than you need to. If you're gonna be stuck, it's best to be stuck at the furthest point you're able to progress in the campaign. Because that means a higher outpost defense level and more loot overall. There is already a big power difference from 160 to 161. Even if it's under lv200, if you're stuck in the campaign and you have the ability to raise your level, you should do so and progress your stage clear count to raise the outpost level. Spending a week at the furthest you can progress at lv160 vs spending a week at the furthest you can progress at lv181 is already a big difference even if you don't open any of the boxes.
whats worse is that the story is behind that wall to some, especially when you want to treat the game as stress free as possible. Gathering resources is just a coping mechanism, it gets frustrating you dont see any progress after months just because you can't get the luck you want in a gacha. This is the first ever game i've ever been gatekept just because i wasnt lucky or spend as much (being a fish/dolphin here feels so unsatisfying).

It took me 6 months, 3 of them are from event. free max rank Rei and Snow White Innocent days. Red Hood is the 5th ( they gave a lot of tickets during the 1st year Anniversary).
I need to really start holding back my gacha urges. For the last couple banners I go hard on the banners getting the featured character, most of them being not that good. Though Tia, Naga and Red Hood are the actually good ones I have pulled for. Now I just gotta start conserving tickets and gems for actually good units and possible Abnormal characters. A Collab with fate would be cool
As a new player I can confirm the spare body selection box still exists. You get it for getting a nikke to like level 120 or somewhere around there for the first time
Dont forget to pivot your Wishlist nikkes, to units that you got from molds/social points, I managed to get MLB Viper without her ever being on my wishlist, simply because every other mold I rolled was a Viper. Saving tickets for the final MLB you need is ideal, but remember the ticket shop is a limited selection, not all wishlist nikkes are on the list. Molds will be the best place to roll for SSRs for a long while, otherwise, save save save coupons for pulls and hope hope hope.
I didnt even know that there was a 160 wall and i dont know what i did but if i were to guess it was because i was saving gems and pulls and i got red hood to +3 right away and got a few others to 3 stars. So i guess i was just lucky and accidently prepared
2 pieces of info you forgot for ssr to help with the wall: at pv 141 in the challenge tab, you get the body label selector, plus some standard nikke do not get added to silver mileage shop rotation, so some girls are more reasonable to wishlist a bit more. The second thing is the special paid banner: you get 2 SSR at least: one from the 10 pull and 1 for compensation for the miscommunication early in nikke's life and has a special mold in the challenge tab to outright pick a pool of standard nikke, not a spare body if i remember right. So the paid 1 time banner is 2 units, so saving paid gems for that banner if you are a light spender might be wise on a dollar to dollar ratio.

I will beat the 160 wall in this anniversary using smol white, in interception I just can't beat gravedigger and alteisen, can reach level 8 damage but don't think going further, hopefully passing the wall I will gain more stuff to spend and beat'en all
I think skipping the wall for Pilgrim priority is better tactic, but then again i am using money on this game so my priorities are different than for average player.
I’ve been looking through some of these vids and have been getting very confused about overload gear. Good to know I’m not far of from it, being almost at the 160 wall and about halfway through chapter 16. And I’m also so glad that after chapter 16 I WONT HAVE TO FIGHT THAT GOD DAMN GRAVE DIGGER BOSS. As a mobile player I absolutely HATE it because it moves around so god damn much which makes it harder to hit the quick time events
Today I pulled 4 SSRs in one roll and right before that I got the new SSR from the event in a first and the only one advanced roll. This system indeed is generous.

what's irritating for me is that I was stuck against the 160 wall for so long, and then once I finally broke it down I started getting dupes of other nikkes left and right. I literally MLB'd Noir in UNDER A WEEK after not getting A SINGLE DUPE OF HER FOR SEVEN MONTHS. Edit: Missilis has too many good Nikkes to wishlist. Jackal is essential for PVP and Tia and Naga are bunny twin replacements.
I got tier 10 gear before breaking the 160 wall, but I was just dumb lucky to get some meta nikkes on my first pulls (I started during modernia's banner, she was one of my first ssr) no mad strat from me (feels good and bad at the same time).
Since when did Pilgrims have a higher chance of dropping? They have a lower chance, especially in the standard banner where they drop at nearly 1/4 the rate of any one of your wishlisted SSRs. Unless if you mean the off-pity on the limited banners, in which case the only reason they technically have a higher drop rate is because the non-pilgrims are ultra-diluted by the sheer number of SSRs in this game. Pilgrims are the premium units in this game for a very good reason. On any normal banner, you are six* times more likely to see a non-pilgrim than an actual pilgram (3.5% vs. 0.5%). Even on a pilgrim banner where the on-banner pilgram has an extra 1% chance to drop, you are looking at rates of 2.5% non-pilgrim vs. 1.5% pilgrim.
The current rate up bunny Alice and soda is bad..I burned almost 15k for 1 copy of each banner (which is separated btw),guess time to burn it off on the normal standard banner for the 160 wall,not gonna do anymore rate up banner since purple units can cover up for the 100% rate in events,not gonna bother on anymore rate up banners in future too 😂

Just a heads up but the 30 days supply does NOT give charge gems daily. You get 330 charge gems and 100 free gems every day so to get the 2K charge gems you need to buy packs until you get the 2k charge gems.
Every time I hear Pseychie say the SSR drop chance statistic is 1 every 25 pulls, I die a little. The last several months have been consistent 60 pulls per SSR 😢.
Bro I did 170 pulls on scarlet banner and got ONE SSR - Laplace. Yeah and I rolled 5 SSR Molds in a row and lost the 61% all five times resulting in an SR. ShiftUp manipulated the rates illegally in their last title destiny child and were FINED by the Korean government and they had to refund currencies used as well as a public apology. You are 100% on to the truth!
There really hasn't been much if any powercreep so far, using scarlet as the benchmark very few nikkes have matched her and those that exceed her are almost always situational.
The game is all about stats, so either keep leveling and you'll eventually beat whatever is gating you, or get better gear. Once you get stuck on the 160 wall, if you managed to beat chapter 16, you can start doing special interception. Even if you're stuck at stage 1 on every boss, you still have a chance of getting T8 gear and will get pity boxes, collect 200 of these and you'll get a random T9 manufacturer gear. Even if you're stuck at lvl 160, you can still make great progress at special interception and eventually even get OL gear. Obviously as you keep getting better gear, you can keep progressing through the campaign. Its just that if you don't have the "meta" units, this progress will take you much longer.
Well shiiiiit, the only SSR I have with a dupe is Dolla +1 😅 still level 85 though so I hope I get more before getting to 160. Guess I’ll spend $5 for the monthly thing, which is actually pretty good for the amount of hours I’ve had fun with this game. Maybe get the battle pass too
I'll be honest here, the Wall was ass, however I believe I had WAY more luck than most with it, even considering whales, as I spent only a month stuck with it and that was due to me saving specifically for Nier(the reason why i even came back, on Rosanna's event). Great info! I'm about 2 weeks from hitting the wall and I am not sure if I want to save for the anniversary banner or try to get past the wall sooner! Excited for the SI guides, train and gravedigger have been a nightmare.
Nah Modernia is the easiest just target the core and at least keep 1 wing core alive. Heal up when necessary, have an aoe if the projectiles are giving problems. Chatterbox is also pretty easy just avoid destroying his main core and go for the weapon pods. Blacksmith as well just handle his aoe orbs and heal up damage from his weapons.
Save, its the first anniversary we dont know what they will do so it can be savage and its better to be prepared, Nikke is very creative so lets see what happens.
They should increase a bit, just a bit, the appareance of SSR units on the different gachas, specially when you don't pay money for it. You get tons of SR and rare units and you struggle a lot to unlock the full potential of a SSR unit you recently unlocked. And just learned that you can't be able to get an event SSR ever again if I understood correctly? So no 2B for me (by pure luck I was able to get A2 on the past event, but can't improve her)....
I really wanted to know what things are ok to use for rolling straight away and what things should i hold to. Like, i have to hold onto advanced vouchers and gems But its ok to use social points, recruit vouchers, molds and so on? Is there any reason to hold them? In Princess Connect had an event where you get more out of rolling at that time. Would love to know that (so i can feel bad about using all of my resources already =P)
Most save 200 social points for the pull 20 weekly mission but I just do it whenever it doesn’t really matter use normal recruit vouchers whenever you want (make sure you have the right wishlist) and you can use miles whenever you want
For gems and advanced recruit vouchers use them for meta banners, collabs or waifu most use pity for pilgrim banners but you can still summon if you trust your luck. You can also use gems on standard banner since it’s very helpful if you get lucky to get past 160 wall
generous? it had to because Nikke "required" multiple SSR to get through the game. while that 'others' game can get through game with lower rarity unit and gear. my overall team now is 140 , soon I'll hit 160 wall. once hit 160 wall, I'll give a game 3 month, if it not let me pass that wall, I'll go spend my time to other game that more well balance and not gauge player through luck.
It depends. If you want to breach the 160 wall quickly pull on standard banner. I pulled on standard banner and i broke through 160 wall in only 2 weeks. However if you want to consistently pull MLB or simply one copy of certain characters never pull on standard and skip bad non limited characters
I wouldn't call nikke's gacha system generous, far from it even if it has higher chances of getting an SSR, when it has that wall to begin with as well as the 200+ lvl system mechanic it has. It's understandable people get frustrated with it, or even decide to quit because of it. It is what it is and people should learn to accept it as that, it's copium to say otherwise, the earlier you accept the fact game is pretty stingy, the earlier you have fun with it.
Literally the worst gacha. Other gacha you can use 4 stars and if they have 3 stars in the game, even 3 stars to progress in story. People defending this MLB system piss me tf off

I broke through the 160 wall just in time when I reached level 160 on all my 5 characters in the synchro device. I've been playing for a month an 3 weeks when I went past the 160 wall. I'm not a pure F2P player since I bought the 5$ 30 day gem package once.
I have a painful and funny story about that spare part selection box. Back then i only need one nikke to MLB so I can break through 160 wall and that nikke is Centi. So I pick centi from that spare part only for this game to say I don't have enough spare part. I got confused on why would this game told me I don't have enough spare part which clearly I had one. I thought it was another bug so i unselect centi and push the confirm button to see if it a bug, only to realize that isn't a bug, but my hand got slipped and pick Miranda when I try to find Centi in that selection box. I am so mad that I just wasted a selection box and my chance to break through 160 wall because my hand got slipped. After that stupid incident, it took me around three months to finally break through 160 wall.
If you get an SSR from a mold/Friendship recruit etc does it stop you getting an SSR from the Wishlist banner? It may be my luck but I seem to get a random SSR from the mold and then nothing in the Wishlist banner.

@@soreee41 You can't reset a Nikke at level 200 and above. Leveling them up to Lv200 is permanent. (You get a Confirmation before doing it, if I remember correctly.) Level up Nikkes to only Lv199 instead if you're planning on resetting them. (For those that don't know) Above Lv200, you don't level up Nikke's individually. Instead, you level up the Synchronization Level for all the Nikkes in your Synchro Device. Once you get 5 Nikkes to Lv200, you can Enhance your Synchro Device and you won't be able to remove or replace from the Synchro Device the 5 Lv200 Nikkes you used to upgrade your Synchro Device.
Considering F2P player and this 160 level wall ... does collab unit make any sense ? you'll never have dupes. The only way it would make sense is if collab unit carry you for PvE.
I just started about 4-5 days ago and got 2 UM Privatey in my 1st 3 pulls so I kept pulling for her and got her to MLB in about 20-30 pulls, and wishlisted units she synergizes with like Tove and Leona, but I have managed to get Liter to 2LB and 1LB for Eunhwa, Yuni, and Signal, all before even unlocking the wishlist. My main team in my sync pool are only around lvl 80 tho, but I feel like I've got a solid start on the lvl 160 wall

2 pieces of info you forgot for ssr to help with the wall: at pv 141 in the challenge tab, you get the body label selector, plus some standard nikke do not get added to silver mileage shop rotation, so some girls are more reasonable to wishlist a bit more.
The second thing is the special paid banner: you get 2 SSR at least: one from the 10 pull and 1 for compensation for the miscommunication early in nikke's life and has a special mold in the challenge tab to outright pick a pool of standard nikke, not a spare body if i remember right. So the paid 1 time banner is 2 units, so saving paid gems for that banner if you are a light spender might be wise on a dollar to dollar ratio.

I think skipping the wall for Pilgrim priority is better tactic, but then again i am using money on this game so my priorities are different than for average player.
I’ve been looking through some of these vids and have been getting very confused about overload gear. Good to know I’m not far of from it, being almost at the 160 wall and about halfway through chapter 16.

I got tier 10 gear before breaking the 160 wall, but I was just dumb lucky to get some meta nikkes on my first pulls (I started during modernia's banner, she was one of my first ssr) no mad strat from me (feels good and bad at the same time).

Since when did Pilgrims have a higher chance of dropping? They have a lower chance, especially in the standard banner where they drop at nearly 1/4 the rate of any one of your wishlisted SSRs. Unless if you mean the off-pity on the limited banners, in which case the only reason they technically have a higher drop rate is because the non-pilgrims are ultra-diluted by the sheer number of SSRs in this game.
Pilgrims are the premium units in this game for a very good reason. On any normal banner, you are six* times more likely to see a non-pilgrim than an actual pilgram (3.5% vs. 0.5%). Even on a pilgrim banner where the on-banner pilgram has an extra 1% chance to drop, you are looking at rates of 2.5% non-pilgrim vs. 1.5% pilgrim.

Bro I did 170 pulls on scarlet banner and got ONE SSR - Laplace. Yeah and I rolled 5 SSR Molds in a row and lost the 61% all five times resulting in an SR. ShiftUp manipulated the rates illegally in their last title destiny child and were FINED by the Korean government and they had to refund currencies used as well as a public apology. If you're very comfortable with a specific 10-20 Nikkes, how do you keep pushing their potential in the face of powercreep?
There really hasn't been much if any powercreep so far, using scarlet as the benchmark very few nikkes have matched her and those that exceed her are almost always situational.
The game is all about stats, so either keep leveling and you'll eventually beat whatever is gating you, or get better gear. Once you get stuck on the 160 wall, if you managed to beat chapter 16, you can start doing special interception. Even if you're stuck at stage 1 on every boss, you still have a chance of getting T8 gear and will get pity boxes, collect 200 of these and you'll get a random T9 manufacturer gear. Even if you're stuck at lvl 160, you can still make great progress at special interception and eventually even get OL gear. Obviously as you keep getting better gear, you can keep progressing through the campaign. Its just that if you don't have the "meta" units, this progress will take you much longer.

Nah Modernia is the easiest just target the core and at least keep 1 wing core alive. Heal up when necessary, have an aoe if the projectiles are giving problems.
Chatterbox is also pretty easy just avoid destroying his main core and go for the weapon pods.
Blacksmith as well just handle his aoe orbs and heal up damage from his weapons.
Save, its the first anniversary we dont know what they will do so it can be savage and its better to be prepared, Nikke is very creative so lets see what happens.

They should increase a bit, just a bit, the appareance of SSR units on the different gachas, specially when you don't pay money for it. You get tons of SR and rare units and you struggle a lot to unlock the full potential of a SSR unit you recently unlocked.

Most save 200 social points for the pull 20 weekly mission but I just do it whenever it doesn’t really matter use normal recruit vouchers whenever you want (make sure you have the right wishlist) and you can use miles whenever you want
For gems and advanced recruit vouchers use them for meta banners, collabs or waifu most use pity for pilgrim banners but you can still summon if you trust your luck. You can also use gems on standard banner since it’s very helpful if you get lucky to get past 160 wall

It depends. If you want to breach the 160 wall quickly pull on standard banner. I pulled on standard banner and i broke through 160 wall in only 2 weeks. However if you want to consistently pull MLB or simply one copy of certain characters never pull on standard and skip bad non limited characters

I wouldn't call nikke's gacha system generous, far from it even if it has higher chances of getting an SSR, when it has that wall to begin with as well as the 200+ lvl system mechanic it has. It's understandable people get frustrated with it, or even decide to quit because of it. It is what it is and people should learn to accept it as that, it's copium to say otherwise, the earlier you accept the fact game is pretty stingy, the earlier you have fun with it.
Literally the worst gacha. Other gacha you can use 4 stars and if they have 3 stars in the game, even 3 stars to progress in story. People defending this MLB system piss me tf off

I broke through the 160 wall just in time when I reached level 160 on all my 5 characters in the synchro device. I've been playing for a month an 3 weeks when I went past the 160 wall. I'm not a pure F2P player since I bought the 5$ 30 day gem package once.
I have a painful and funny story about that spare part selection box. Back then i only need one nikke to MLB so I can break through 160 wall and that nikke is Centi. So I pick centi from that spare part only for this game to say I don't have enough spare part. I got confused on why would this game told me I don't have enough spare part which clearly I had one. I thought it was another bug so i unselect centi and push the confirm button to see if it a bug, only to realize that isn't a bug, but my hand got slipped and pick Miranda when I try to find Centi in that selection box. I am so mad that I just wasted a selection box and my chance to break through 160 wall because my hand got slipped. After that stupid incident, it took me around three months to finally break through 160 wall.

Keep working on the challenges and Lost Sectors to get tickets. Eventually, you'll get your 40 pulls.
free standard pulls are very common early on and in events. Every event has a daily login with the final day being 10 standard pulls

You can't reset a Nikke at level 200 and above. Leveling them up to Lv200 is permanent. (You get a Confirmation before doing it, if I remember correctly.)
Level up Nikkes to only Lv199 instead if you're planning on resetting them.
(For those that don't know) Above Lv200, you don't level up Nikke's individually. Instead, you level up the Synchronization Level for all the Nikkes in your Synchro Device.
Once you get 5 Nikkes to Lv200, you can Enhance your Synchro Device and you won't be able to remove or replace from the Synchro Device the 5 Lv200 Nikkes you used to upgrade your Synchro Device.

The only way it would make sense is if collab unit carry you for PvE.
I just started about 4-5 days ago and got 2 UM Privatey in my 1st 3 pulls so I kept pulling for her and got her to MLB in about 20-30 pulls, and wishlisted units she synergizes with like Tove and Leona, but I have managed to get Liter to 2LB and 1LB for Eunhwa, Yuni, and Signal, all before even unlocking the wishlist. My main team in my sync pool are only around lvl 80 tho, but I feel like I've got a solid start on the lvl 160 wall
