The soldiers in scarlet dress are wearing khaki lemon squeezer hats (a tradition that is almost unique to the New Zealand officer corps). The clip itself is showcasing a graduation ceremony for those officer cadets who passed through the New Zealand army officer corp training cycle. Said cadets are drawn not only from New Zealand but also a wealth of Pacific and South-East Asian countries as well. The reason why there is an Australian flag flying in the background of the gun salute clip is purely a gesture to celebrate the multinational nature of the cadet graduates.
