Great to hear your review! Very Honest! Glad you overall enjoyed the tire! Give Our VE33S Hybrid a shot its the in-between compound! Would love to see you're review on that as well!

I'm putting miles on one right now! 👍 Got a couple more rides coming up, then I'll do a review for it. ✊👍

@@specializedbighitfsr Yep! I've actually got two at different stages of wear and miles. I'll try to post a review this week. Very different tire from the ix09. 👍

So if you were to pick something to run Stix and Stones, what would you run? I am currently running a 525 on the Beta, and I have an mx33 on my Yamaha. The mx33 gets great traction but the compound is super hard, I don't have much faith in it for the roots and big rocks. I have thought about this tire, the 525, or the Knarly. Kinda sitting in the unknown still with it.

I haven't fully made up my mind, but I am leaning towards the VE33S and a worn out/squishy mousse. I tend to struggle most on soft hill climbs and I think the VE33S digs a little better than the IX09. My other consideration is running the VE33S for hot lap day and the IXO9 for the race, since the IXO9 does a little better in the big slick rocks and tree roots. It will be some combination or either/or of those two tires though.
