Yes, this receiver does support album artwork when using CarPlay and Spotify. There will be various settings available for tweeters, depending on your setup. As for dimming features, you can manually turn the dimmer ON or OFF, or you can use the default setting of SYNC, which turns the dimmer function on or off when the vehicle light control switch is turned on or off. Spoke to you once before and you answered my question well. Today I own 4 Kenwood receivers. I own 2 DMX7704S and 2 DMX7705S Receivers. They are great receivers. I have one of each in a C5 Corvette and a C6 Corvette. My question is this. I uploaded the Corvette Logo for each generation Corvette into both Receivers. They come up on Screen very nicely. What I notice to be different compared to the original Double Din Receiver that was in my C6 Corvette is that the logo would be lit up in the Screen even when the Radio was turned off while driving. It looked really good. There are times when you may not want to be listening to music and it is better then looking at a blank TV Screen so to say. Are my Kenwood Receivers Capable of doing the same is my full Question I am asking and if so how do I accomplish that with mine?
@@ffas23 I'm sorry about that! I missed the "read more" link in your comment, it wasn't intentional I promise! Our receivers feature a "Standby" source, which allows you to still have the screen displayed while the radio isn't playing anything. So ultimately you would still be able to view the screen, just with nothing playing out of the receiver itself! Hope this helps!
I am guessing the DMX7704S and the DMX7705S use the same screen. Question: I just noticed the other day that somehow I must of put a small scratch in my DMX7705S during installation. It is a light scratch less then 3/8" and not deep. I can barely feel some roughness with my finger nail in that area and when the screen is on it is not noticeable. Is there a way to polish that little bit out? if so what should I use? Can you tell me if the screen has a coating on it? What kind of screen would one consider it to be? Sorry for all the questions but it bothers me and I would like to take care of this small problem if possible. I saw online where someone said to use Mequires Scratch X for Plastic. I figured let me check with Kenwood to see what they have to say first before I cause more of a problem then I already have.
Anytime you use a scratch removal product, you risk the chance of damaging it more. We recommend that you send this to one of our authorized service centers for repair.
@@KenwoodUSA Do you have any idea of the cost involved? Are you telling me that you believe the Screen would need to be replaced. May not be worth the trouble with Labor so high in cost. As I mentioned the scratch is very minor and no more then 3/8" or less and no depth to the scratch. I believe part of the dash may of brushed against the screen. Can't even be seen when the Radio screen is turned on. Was hoping there would be a way to lightly polish it out.

At that point I may want to try a polish or just live with it if the procedure cost is out of the question. In other words if it was to cost me half of what I just paid for the unit brand new it wouldn't be worth it to me.

This receiver uses an SWC (Steering wheel Control) wire and integrates with a 3rd party SWC interface which handles the programming and setup. There is no SWC menu for setup inside the receiver. Thanks!

This is not a currently available model so I would consider looking at KENWOOD.com/usa/car for a current receiver version the DMX7706S. To answer the question all you need is a standard USB charging cord that fits your Android phone and connects it to the receiver USB for Android Auto to work. Thanks
I own a Kenwood DMX 7704S that I installed in one of my vehicles. I like it so much that I wanted to purchase one for another vehicle I own. Found out that the 7704S has been discontinued and the 7705S replaced it so I purchased a 7705S. Right away I noticed that the 7705S doesn’t come with HD Radio and I also noticed when opening the box the 7705S doesn’t come with a GPS Antenna. Since the 7705S replaces the 7704S can you give me a reason for the GPS antenna being eliminated and the HD Radio being eliminated? I don’t see a Kenwood Video by Kenwoods Staff for the 7705S listed.
The GPS antenna is used for the optional DRV-N520 on the DMX7704S, of which the DMX7705S is not compatible. The primary feature that was exchanged for the DRV-N520 compatibility and HD Radio on the DMX7705S, is KENWOOD WebLink, which allows you to access phone apps such as Yelp, Weather, Music and Videos stored on phone, and select TH-cam content.

I purchased the DMX7704S based on that video. T.P. Yi: The receiver supports 2 iPods specifically, the iPod Touch 5th and 6th generations. They are designed to play from the grey USB input. You cannot activate both CarPlay and and iPod simultaneously, but Android Auto should have its maps function while listening to the iPod's music. Alternatively, you can connect a hard drive in NTFS format in place of an iPod. As for the camera, you can force cameras without the car being in reverse - but insure that you are providing power for the camera from a switched accessory source and not from the reverse signal/lights to use this feature.
Great! That's what I needed to know. I have a 5th Gen iPod Touch with my entire music library already on it. I also have a Galaxy S6 Android phone to run Android Auto. This receiver has a universal composite video connection for both it's back-up and front camera inputs. A KENWOOD camera would work great, however any universal camera with a composite video connection should function.
No. Only 1 DRV-N520 can be used. I would suggest adding the KENWOOD DRV-410 as a stand alone rear view dashboard camera in addition to the DRV-N520 for the front. Thanks!

If the vehicle supports a double DIN receiver, then it would be compatible...but you would need to obtain the supported dash kit/wiring harness etc. from a third party company.
I have this unit in a used car, and without having it completely set up I received a phone call while the radio was "on", somehow I muted it to hear the phone call. Now I have no sound on the phone, the radio, the phone and my USB MP3 player. How can I get the sound back. I can see the EQ working on all items but no sound.
From what you describe you have lost all sound from the receiver, is this correct? You may have a connection or installation issue for something like that to happen to all your sound, a Bluetooth call cannot do what you have described. Thanks
I had the vehicle only about 3 weeks when this occurred and until that time it worked great, so my thought is that the installation is good. Possibly a lose wire. The unit has the front and rear camera and the installation appears to have been done professionally by a stereo shop. So your thinking it's not possible to lose Bluetooth sound and stereo sound together?
just had a DMX 7705s installed on my 2011 Mustang with Maestro dash kit and RR module. Everything was going good for the first few hours after installation. Now when i press the climate hard button on top. It will not display the fan speed setting. I even had the Fan speed hard buttons placed on the hard button setup on top. It just will not show it on the climate control screen. Hope someone can help me figure out how to get the fan speed buttons working again.
KENWOODUSA I appreciated the reply to my comment. So I ended up resetting the Maestro module settings. Under the OEM settings in the KENWOOD DMX 7705s. It surprisingly did the trick. Thanks.
