I love dnd so much! Right now my character is a half elf Druid (level 5) but I have other characters already created oop- Next im gonna be either a tiefling warlock or a tabaxi fighter! This was soo relaxing!!
@@junix_does_art45 that sounds amazing! ive never really got into phyiscal characters but i am planing to in the future as they sound great! have a great day and a great capgaign
Idk if it’s possible but I’d love to see a video like this for a Druid build. It’s my favorite class and I never see it picked in character creation videos.
Very relaxing whispering and sounds :) it is also helpful, because i'll have my first dnd experience in a few weeks ^^ I don't understand why the bonus on strength saving throws in this example is +2, should it be +4 instead ? Cheers!
Good point! I think this is because I am a bit old school and in the earlier editions of the game the score was more prominent than the modifier. I can definitely see the value in doing it the other way around. Thanks for the comment!
Ugh, you're right. I made several mistakes during the filming, which lead to me deleting parts of the character sheet and re-recording it. Sorry about that, I'll make a note in the description. I think D&D Beyond has made me lazy :-) - Derek
He stayed at 19... but had a 4 to re-roll. The most extra he could have got was 6, which is plus 2. 19 plus 2 is 21. He literally had the perfect roll ahaha
That would be true if it were not for the fact you do not add in the lowest die. If you roll 4d6 and get two 4's & two 3's your score is not 14 - it is 11.
It was a parody, but I noticed as I was cutting it together that I made an error with the to hit and damage adjustments for the weapons, and had to redo a bunch of the video. So much for a quick joke. Also had a cold at the time which accounts for the breathing issues :-( - Derek
@@DiceStormers thanks for clearing it up. I don't get ASMR though, I understand that some people like it. Just expected D&D ASMR to be a double shake and roll of various dice on different surfaces or something..
There's other DnD ASMR out there that's just dice rolling, I think I wanted to do something with a little more substance. Not sure I get ASMR either, but I can't deny the appeal it seems to have with some people. I figured, I can spend a few hours and make a vid like this, why not? - Derek
Man never thought that this would be a thing. Asmr mixed with games. seriously wow.
It's one of the most watched videos we've ever done, so insanely popular. - Derek
You havea great whisper voice for asmr. Loved the video.
Thanks! - Derek
This was pretty good and made me want to check out the rest of the channel. Keep it up. 🤙🏼
Thanks! Please consider subscribing if you like what you see! - Derek

Your character sounds so cool! I’m a Dragonborn Barbarian right now but I’m planning on being a dwarf druid in my next campaign

Yes I made a mistake, the correct calculations are in video description
honestly i like it XD
LMAO! Hilarious!
How did you pick the added numbers below each score? What was the formula?
It's in the Player's Handbook - Derek
Great video, but I am seething you would put the ability scores in the big box! That’s where the modifier goes 😭😭
Good point! I think this is because I am a bit old school and in the earlier editions of the game the score was more prominent than the modifier. I can definitely see the value in doing it the other way around. Thanks for the comment!
You calculated you proficiency into all your saving throws except strength and as a dm irritated me

@@DiceStormers You're all good bro
You missed out on the "expertise" on 2 skills
That's a huge benefit of the Rogue class
More videos please

He literally had the perfect roll ahaha
What point in the vid is this?
But he could have rolled less than 4 which would be worse...
please correct me if I'm wrong; but you'd thrown 1 obove average, 1 at average and 4 below the average (EX=14)
That would be true if it were not for the fact you do not add in the lowest die. If you roll 4d6 and get two 4's & two 3's your score is not 14 - it is 11.
@@braddisbrow3864 shoot I forgot about discarding one dice, you're completely right (EX=11.5)
Can I polymorph into a Forest Giant
Sure! It's dnd, you can do anything within the bounds of the game
For saving throws, you credit proficiency to your race, slip of the tongue, you meant to say "because of our Rogue class".
But overall good job!
..not sure if this was a parody or serious video, Eitherway that sharp breath in stressed me out..

Uggg ads twice, impossible to gall asleep to.
Ah! Thanks for the heads up, I've changed it so that ads only appear before and after the video, so you should be good to go now.
@@DiceStormers Thank you, it's frustrating to find a video as good as yours and have ads
